  • I’m at the chocolate capital of the world, come and see where $100 would take you. Starting my day off with a walking tour about the country's history. Then a small boat ride to see great sceneries around the city. I then finished with a yummy Swiss Chocolate and had Pasta and Pizza!

    Great contribution.
If I may add - there are various places (department and grocery stores - Migros-Coop) that have self-service restaurants - or even cheaper - buy it from the store.
I am surprised that hardly any of the Switzerland blogs mention that on weekends,- with the exception of some Tourist shops and railway station restaurants, all shops and restaurants are closed.

Extremely expensive….honestly you were putting your brakes quite generously otherwise you wouldn’t have made it for the day. 33 dollars for pasta is insanely out of this world and imagine spending with your family on this trip. Thanks for sharing though.

dude, Zurich is not cheap at all, crazy expensive... I just got back from there a couple weeks ago 😁 Luzern and Interlaken are actually cheaper even though they are tourist places. Overall I felt Switzerland was a bit overhyped/overrated for the price paid. Not saying I did not enjoy it but felt there are so many other incredibly beautiful places in the world for much less money.
One pro is that for people who can't do a bit of hiking / trekking because of the incredible infrastructure of trains and gondolas you can reach mountain peaks that many people wouldn't otherwise be able to reach, so that is why a lot of folks come here. But for a hiker like me i've seen equally breathtaking vistas in Nepal, Peru, Ecuador, Argentina etc. etc. and those countries were dirt cheap.
Also, I am NOT a fan of Swiss food and paying an arm and a leg for mediocre food that you don't enjoy isn't fun.

Thought this video would only last 30 seconds as it's the most expensive country in the world

I don't know where you live. But try how much you spend a day when you have all your meals in restaurants - tips included.
