- The Waverley paddle steamer berthing today at Brodick, ready to take passengers round Holy Isle (Lamlash) and Pladda Isle (Kildonan) off the Isle of Arran.
A cloudy breezy day, but dry and mild. Quite nice really.
No commentary from me beyond the first minute or so...I'm just letting the vessel and the occasion do the talking :-)
PS Waverley will be coming to the end of the Summer Season on the Clyde soon on August 23rd, so if you want to go on it, a 'right round Arran one-off' is on Monday 14th August starting at 2.20pm and also finishing at 6.20pm at Brodick although it can be boarded earlier from Largs etc as well.
I'll be catching that trip, my first go on the vessel in 48 years, since 1975!
Anyway, today's itinerary was as follows...
Helensburgh 10:30
Greenock 10:55
Kilcreggan 11:20
Largs 12:45
Millport (Keppel) 13:10
Brodick 14:20/14:30
Cruise to Pladda & Round Holy Isle
Brodick 16:50/17:00
Millport (Keppel) 18:05
Largs 18:35
Kilcreggan 19:45
Greenock 20:05

Nice steamvessel 👌👌
It's such an amazing vessel.
That is beautiful
Aw thanks :-) Yes the paddle steamer is a work of art on the water
Watched it leaving greenock yesterday first stop after greenock was Kilcreggan wonderful sight ❤
Yes, I agree. A lot of romance about this vessel.
She doesn’t hang about with approaching the berth and departing
