You said you prefer a 35-38" ATA bow for target but that's a few shorter ATA bows you've shot now Steve and you've done very well with this, there's this, the PSE NXT and I think you had a shorter ATA Elite you shot and done very well with. You tend to do better with them in these reviews than the longer bows. You should do a video with a full target set up on a shorter ATA and a longer ATA and compare the 2 together
The SS stands for Super Smooth and for sure the bow is. It’s a great bow. For the people asking about the SR6, it has a great draw cycle. But at 29”+ draw length it gets a big hump near the end of the draw cycle before the cams break over. It didn’t bother me the first time I shot the bow. But the next time I shot the bow at a different location I did not care for the “hump and dump” in the draw cycle.
I bought the realm ss last year at my pro shop for 700 new it was a left over bow is why I got a hell of a deal on for a new bow. I love the smooth draw and how quiet and now vibration at all. I was shoot gold tip 340 hunter xt it was shooting 289 fps at 65lb and 29 inch draw. When I do bow another new bow ill probably go with the cp28 or the sr350. I have shot the new matthews v3x and its amazing bow too but damn my realm is a bad mother.

Hi Steve - great review as usual - if I may ask - could you please test the Bowtech bows on the Performance setting and not the Comfort in order to get a more true idea of the draw cycle and speed - I note this one was on the Comfort setting - particularly as I note you have a pending review of the SR6. If you want to test the bow on both setting that would be even better - Cheers Wayne
Of course it is “old tech” as it is the soon to be discontinued Realm series. The original Realm came out in 2018. The SS and SR6 versions came out in 2019 and the Realm itself dropped off the line. In 2020 Bowtech rebadged the original Realm as the Guardian. For 2021 both the SS and SR6 will be replaced with new Deadlock cam versions. The original Realm was a 7” brace, where the SS and SR6 are 6” brace. The Revolt is a 7” brace, so compares overall more to the original Realm. For you Aussies, chances are these are the only new Realms you will see. As with the delay in shipping, the next bows showing up in country will be 2021 bows.

Great review. Covered the details. Had a Constitution ions ago. Was a great bow for its time. Killed a t-Rex with one shot!
