Nice work guys! Quick question are you just tucking the blue shrink wrap underneath the cord on the sides of the boat and then heat shrinking it or is there something else I’m not seeing. Thank you
Hey Clint. So we install air vents in the shrink wrap to allow air to circulate inside the boat and also to allow hot air to escape. We can also put moisture removal products inside to also assist in not creating moisture. But one of the biggest things we do is to dry the boat out completely before we shrink wrap it. If a boat is wet at all we will stick floor fans in the boat the night before and let it completely dry before the shrink wrap is applied. So you are correct that you don’t want moisture in the boat as it can mold and cause damage but taking the right precautions should prevent moisture damage.
There is another innovation for this kind of operation. Called TARPAULIN. Much cheaper, breathable and doesn't need mommy's hairdryer and wife's vacuum cleaner tube to apply. Oh, and if you touch a tarpolin with a slightly pointy object it won't go BOINK exposing your pride and joy to the weather in the middle of a winter night.
I've "tarped" my boat for years. It's a pain in the outdrive. Really tough to keep a tarp stretched in all directions without sags that snow loves to collect in and sag into and become a block of ice. Mildew all over in Spring. The last two Falls I've paid for shrink-wrap and there is no comparison. Snow slides right off. The interior in Spring looks just like I delivered it in late Fall. But, if tarp works for you, create a video. I'd love to watch. Cheers, man!
Thanks for this always wanted to see how it was done!
Hannah said very impressive work and very detailed!
Thanks!!
Music is awesome

Where did you get the decal sign from ? Is it a plastic overlay or decal?
Hey "Beaver" How much did you charge for this? ( May 2020)
No worries I’ve figured it out. My comment was from two years ago but thanks anyway.
I just talked to a boat mechanic he said never shrink wrap because of moisture, if any is in boat, it starts to mildew and eat any wood like floor so?

Where did you get the blue straps to pull the strings tight
I get all the supplies from DrShrink.com
How much was this job? If I may ask
We charge by the length of the boat, so this boat was around $450
Area code?
A little too fast for me with very little guidance. But great video
We can try and make a new video going over the steps more in depth.

WTF Is tarpolin? I know tarpaulin.
bernard tiburon you have to search it in CAPS lock apparently lmao
Maloy7800 lol you’re an idiot
Tarpaulin is plastic tarp with a fabric weave. Does not seal things out like this shrink wrap with vents.
