Rangers are on solid ground because Alan Muir, Frank Connor and the SFA cannot say that this is other than corruption by the VAR officials choosing to abandon the VAR protocols. It is what it is.
Offside not given in 2019; DEssers penalised for getting to the ball first last season; Johnston deliberate handball unpunished; Dodgy Disallowed goal in the SCF last year; Now Diomande push unpunished, and Cerny penalty not given. The list goes on. YES, the 4 v 1 was a sliding doors moment and at 2-0 I think we do it.... BUT, Don't let them go 3-2 up, GIVE the penalty and avoid Pens. Different result.
Collum is responsible for the worst decision in SPL history, (Johnson punching the ball out of play), Collum was then promoted to the head of refereeing, that tells you all you need to know about the SFA, who is running it and who is benefitting from it. The officiating yesterday was an absolute disgrace, Rangers were cheated, plain and simple.
Back in the day, did Celtic not demand their own referees or else they would bring down Scottish Football and now we all know what that threat may have been, their decades of horrible history.
Hi Derek when you post a video can you turn up the volume ta. Clamont team is almost the same team he has played all season the difference was he was playing players in there right positions. But really have to ask what was dessers on for? Played piggy in the middle made one tackle and no spot kick. The team played immense pity about var and pens. Great show glad Stevie was on 👍🏻
I think you promoting the idea the penalty decision was down to incompetence is a problem. You have a platform to represent the Rangers supporters. When Clement was asking people to ‘dig in’ he was talking to you guys who had been digging in to get him sacked for months. You are the journalists, who has been involved in the VAR panels during the six recent games Rangers have been at the end of poor decisions VAR was brought in to eradicate from the sport? Why has nothing been done about it? You know the BBC arent going to investigate. There are two kinds of people in this world my friend, those who are with the corrupt officials with an agenda against our great club and those who dig. You dig!
I think as much as it is right to call out dodgy officiating, the main focus should be that we have quite a few young players that will keep improving and we pushed an inform Celtic all the way and the teams were separated by one penalty. We also with better decision making again could have put the game to bed earlier. We have to work on reducing their possession, as without the ball they can't do the same and we need to tighten in defense at CB. The play has been better the last 4 games, progress is happening. Let's see how the season goes and what sort of shape we are in for a title challenge come the summer. Clement has shown evidence there is progress worth backing and staying with for me. We can't measure anymore by the yardstick of managers who had a lot more to spend. Buying young and building them takes time, but if we encourage and back them our fortunes will change faster. The expecation for me is to eat into the points now league wise and see how close we can get.
What do you mean you'll not go into conspiracy theories or you'll get in trouble, your RANGERS review , call it what it is blatant cheating, or take your channel of air
The team gave exactly the levels of fire, spirit and courage we expect from Rangers players. Here is the issue: The players are leaving our successes to luck or chance or the rub of the green. We should be reaching such levels of skill that we make our own luck on the field. Better, but no cigar in any of his games against them.
We conceded three goals, bottled a 4v1 and our striker couldn’t take a penalty in the shootout. I’m not having that we were robbed by a poor penalty decision.
Painful loss… …a couple of poor decisions at key times …and another VAR error in their favour (conspiracy theorists are going to go nuts). Teams should be able to fine the SFA.. the inevitable apology just doesn’t cut it.
Diomande tripped & Cerny held in the box. RFC denied justice twice. CFC never suffer such misfortune when Connor officiates. That is an integrity issue. Not luck.
Derek, get on the programme. It cannot possibly be incompetence or an error and to suggest such is misleading the Rangers fans because it was clear and obvious penalty, according to the rules of football. Alan Muir and Frank Connor chose to abandon the VAR protocols and the rules of football. Once you realise this, then the obvious, if unpalatable, question to Alan Muir and Frank Connor is why did they choose to disregard the VAR protocols and the rules of football. Their only defence, at this point, is that Alan Muir and Frank Connor were not in the VAR room when this happened or the audio link to the referee was lost. Then the SFA have to explain why they haven't released a Press Statement on this together with an explanation of how they are going to resolve this scandal of epic proportions. Then the SFA have to address why this keeps on happening. This is a slam-dunker for Rangers to pursue.
It was a pen. The only way the ref and var team can get away with this one is if Beaton blew his whistle for anothe foul before the shirt pull. FYI on the line is in the box
Too much history against Rangers for it to be incompetence. Only one Club is perpetually affected. That’s not incompetence. That is deliberate. They are cheating.
I know you lads do not want to say it but I will. There has been an agenda with referees in old firm games. Their decisions or lack of them always falls aga❤instvRangers.
With all due respect to Derek & Joshua, it is not, and cannot be, the 'incompetence' of paid/trained/professionals (loosely termed), if the average football fans Granny would call a penalty every time, let alone professional refs saying it's blatant. I do realise you must be careful with what you say and or imply, as you need to maintain a good professional working relationship (being media etc,) with the official bodies and clubs. But I'm 100% with Stevie on this one because I thought the same myself. If they have a history of said incompetence, and against us in particular, then there are no coincidences. Integrity, in their/any position, is symbiotic with knowing and adhering to the rules that you signed up for and agreed to.
I was calling for Philippe to go only 4wks ago. Lost faith. But that's running on emotion heavy-duty. We canny say the players are no playing for him noo & we must keep the faith, we must. As it sticks in one's throat: they have better players than us, they've a massive squad full of quality, their manager isny too bad, either. BUT BUT BUT, when we accept reality and know we must keep faith and see the progress - I get it, the progress is only recent - but we must push on and back the players. We must keep improving, learn from mistakes and show luv to the players. But we must keep seeing the progress, too. Hopefully these boys will be up for revenge 🙏 and give us a performance of blood sweat guts and heart 💙 I'm sorry guys, you want the channel to remain professional I think was your words, but a "conspiracy theory" in general usually has some truth to it, if not 'the truth' in its entirety. I'm sorry I'm no meaning to disrespect your channel 😔 but for me, there is too many coincidences surrounding the whole sfa as a whole. Personally I don't believe there is such a thing as 'coincidence' - but rather, 'a what's meant to be' kinda lass. The whole world has viewed the highest levels of 'incompetence' by Scottish officials - is it a wonder we are a laughing stock doon south?! Why can't we get assistance from the FA ?? Some sort of training, perhaps?! The levels are well superior even in the lower leagues; 😮 I get that they're full-time, but don't tell me there is nothing that Donkeyaster can do to improve the standards in Scotland. He's stealing a wage - the full shebang in they corridors of hampden are 😮 Canny even make a telly deal, man.....c'mon man❕ We've been getting done for years (not referring to decisions) in a financial sense, the standards, grassroots, no efforts to influence kids in order to find the next Andy Robertson. (The aforementioned winner of CL and EPL, obviously) There are umpteen issues that they need taken to task about. Kris Boyd very correct in his statement that, "in Scotland, football has become a middle-class sport" 😮 Ain't good enough. In addition, a couple of celtic family members informed me earlier that - "bealing if we don't get that?!" Also, I find it bamboozling that, following last night's video on the channel - the amount of comments by the other mhob was astonishing 😲 😳 Some really sick characters, while people like my celtic uncle & cousins were out celebrating: more and more entities persistent in roaming on this channel and others like it.......😮 They canny even enjoy their win, it's sheer narcissistic obsession.
Sorry Derek it is an integrity issue. As Stevie says I've lost track of old firm games when Walsh Clancy and all the other Celtic supporting officials have blatantly helped Celtic over the line. And this will continue under the stewardship of Willie Colum another member of the anti Rangers brigade. The trouble is we don't shout long and hard about it as Celtic do until something's done about it.
Just a thought, but what’s wrong with giving the manager a chance to challenge a call (yellow card if wrong to stop time wasting) The Laws of the game are clear (Law 12.3)… “If a defender starts holding an attacker outside the penalty area and continues holding inside the penalty area, the referee must award a penalty kick.”
Dessers was probably 7th or 8th on the list of players on the field. Free shot at net, loads of time to think about it, and loads of pressure. ...further proof he needs to go.
I think Stevie hit the nail on the head that everyone is missing. Ridvan doesn't strike the ball well and shouldn't have taken one but Dessers is even worse. His technique is awful and all his goals are tap-ins or scuffs. He can't actually kick a ball well. Compare that to Butland who strikes through the ball beautifully hence why he is a good choice for penalties. I don't blame Dessers for not taking a penalty - those that do are either looking at the big picture that he isn't good enough and mentally can't do it on the big occasion or are just thinking all strikers should be good penalty takers and must want to grab the ball. If you want to criticize Dessers the issue is that when he replaced Igamane we may as well have put Liam Kelly up front. He actively harmed the team. Dowell will get lumped in with him because they came on together (and good to see Barron not escape criticism) but at least the latter two made us more solid in extra time. Dessers was an empty shirt.
Further. We know that officials have a duty of care and safety even so awarding a penalty at a Celtic end at this stage in the game has taken that duty too far by simply not imposing the rules of the game. End of the day we should have beat them, as Josh says there was ample opportunity before the penalty decision. I take heart from that. We are on the right path.
Guys, I don’t know if it’s just on my TH-cam channel, but on many of your vlogs, when you place a video within your main video, ie, an interview with the manager/a player, the volume drops considerably, becoming almost inaudible? Is there anything you can do about it? Cheers. Jim
No excuses 1.0 up 4 v 1 and blew it for 2.0 ..another defeat same old story a sickening result and get dessers out of the club asap just standing about instead of stepping up to take a pen he threw yimaz under the bus and on jan 1st put him on transfer list
If we had a clinical striker we'd have been talking about 2 good wins against spurs n celtic, unfortunately that's the main difference between rangers and the next level coz we're outplaying them but not putting the chances away.
Al add context, if we score the second one most good striker's would bury then celtic have to throw players forward and we would have won easy yesterday and against spurs, we are creating the chances to beat these teams easily it's just getting that prolific striker that can get the second goal and open open the teams up. I thought the league was over but its game on now, we were cruising in the league this time last year and look what happened so I expect celtic to get worse and rangers to get better. 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
@@gary2494 Barhami probably should have scored his right footed shot, which schmichel saved and should have chopped back onto Hamzas pass in the 4 v 1 move to roll the square pass for a tap-in but he lacked composure in that moment.
Too many long faces...Old firm dominance comes in cycles, we are just having to endure a double cycle because we dropped down. We are getting there...I think we only need another 3 or 4 signings and 1 more round of getting rid if dead wood...Dessers, Dowell, McCausland and Lawrence. Looking forward to see Jefte and Cortes playing regularly together...
My wonder is the referees bottle big decisions out of fear. Unless it is totally clear cut obvious, there tends to be an overlooking for half chances 50/50s
At this moment, I can't help wondering who is responsible for a situation in which we have let them overtake our substantial lead in trophies won. John Lawrence? David Murray? Obviously, the SFA for their handling of the financial collapse. Other clubs for celebrating the demotion to the lowest tier to their cost. Sad and angry at all that, more than just this one game, unjust as it was.
IMO, when Rangers were banished to the bottom league, a number of SPL clubs wanted RFC closed down and banned from all Scottish football, the SFA pointed out, that would lead to a long and very expensive court case, only the lawyers would win from such action, instead, they have allowed CFC to run football in Scotland, the laws, the fixtures, the promotion and appointment of the referees chosen by them.
Nothing new regarding the officiating, we know this which is why we need to eliminate them from the equation. The 4 on 1 opportunity was an absolute disgrace and I cannot understand why Igamane plays the ball to Bajrami and why Bajrami doesn’t chop back inside when Vickers dives in, it’s a shocking lack of game intelligence. The goals we lost were all avoidable as well, Celtic had 4 guys hanging outside of the box at corners and all we had was Igamane, why were we just letting them get the 2nd ball? Maeda goal was comedy gold, McGregor misses his header and is then allowed a second opportunity to gather it unchallenged and Balogun just needs to commit his body into that challenge and Maeda doesn’t get there.
Your fear of losing credibility by mentioning the lack of integrity from officials in Scotland is the problem. How many cases are going to favour Celtic in these tight games before the potential of corruption is allowed to be discussed? There is not 1 contentious decision that has went against Celtic in these fixtures or in other fixtures for that matter (the Hatate tackle a few weeks back springs to mind).
The off the ball studding of Buckland's right knee cap by Hatate merited a red-card. It is noticeable that Big Phil has the players just getting on with the game and not rising to the bate of the referee, as it is pointless. We should continue in this manner.
A much improved performance against Celtic, but undone by the usual mistakes. None of Celtics goals were worldies, they were all down to mistakes by us.
Josh, the incident doesnt have to be ,’over the line’ it doesnt have to be obvious, why ,when that foul was given wasn’t it checked, we must need this clarified by those in charge, at the moment the integrity is in question.
VAR protocols are that the penalty had to be checked. Don't assume that it wasn't checked, just because it was an obvious penalty. Public release of the VAR transcript may reveal what transpired.
How do you suggest referee bias when the referee is a well know Rangers supporter. Stand side linesman gave Celtic nothing. Watch it back, regarding penalty incident the whistle for the foul went before they were on the.line.
@@neilmckechnie6638It's plain as day, the ref blew for the early part of the foul which occurred just outside the area.If you're Rangers you wish he would have waited an instant longer but he didn't so no real argument with the ref or with var.
VAR is there to challenge every decision that goes FOR rangers and to not challenge any decision that goes AGAINST Rangers. There is conscious bias going on here. Let’s not window dress a clear agenda against 1 club. The diomande trip, the two penalty calls. This is a concerted vendetta being played out under the guise of “human era”
I can take a defeat if the better team won and key decisions are equal, however, All that is asked for is a level of consistency by the VAR official’s in big important games , it’s become abhorrent since the introduction of VAR that VAR officialdom has favored one team when playing Rangers. It needs to be called out and rightly so, however I agree with Stevie, you’ve got to question the integrity in the first instance. I don’t fully agree of phrasing it as incompetence, as this would be deemed as excusing the errors as acceptable. The VAR officials selected for the game should be competent and more importantly be impartial. I guess the general position from the supporters is there is a pattern of impartiality to these games over the past couple of years which is becoming more obvious when it comes to key decisions to be looked at unless it’s in favour for the team in the east end of the city.
Personally for me Robin Propper is not good enough for us. He’s an okay defender but he’s got 0 pace or athleticism at all, that bit in the first half where he got outran by kuhn despite kuhn being a good 10 meters behind said it all. He’s been a bit of a disaster of a signing and in my opinion we may as well try bed Leon King in to the team to bump a few quid on his value and get him sold because Propper brings nothing
Its not integrity? Cmon to fk guys, its only us that this happens to in these games against them. This took them ahead on trophies so there was no chance we were getting anything from the officials.
Gutsy overall performance but in the cold light of day all the same old mistakes and lack of effort by the same old players cost us yesterday. The decision making in the final third was disastrous, set pieces were atrocious, Diomande didn’t put his body on the line for their third and instead sat down and watched them take a free shot at goal and Tavernier was terrible all game yesterday - Slack passing all game and everyone going on about Raskin’s involvement in their 2nd goal but that’s hidden the fact that Tavernier just stopped, allowed Maeda to run-off him on to the slack pass and never bothered or burst his arse to track him - just jogged back with zero-urgency as usual! Dessers also offered nothing when he came on - typical from these guys! Great effort but no corners have been turned I’m afraid.
Really wonder what game Joshua watches sometimes. Last week he said Proper was a warrior 😂 today he’s said Diomande was Rangers best player. Laughable takes.
Rangers played very well and took the Champions by surprise. They could have won it with a bit more final decision making...but not to be. Celtic are a better team and certainly more street wise and experienced...and this took them through. Rangers supporters desert the team when they do not win...and there;s something wrong with this mentality for sure. Tuesday night should be another realisation of 'who's who.'
This is what 20yrs of crying conspiracy gets you. Celtic have played a blinder. With their minions in the media always towing the party line of "Penalty Rangers"
Stevie is bang on, it’s an integrity issue. If they made equal mistakes for either team I’d say incompetence but they never do, all big calls and mistakes go against Rangers in these games, there’s a pattern.
this comment is the one
100%. It’s hard not to come across like a bad loser but when decisions are so one-sided you have to address the possibility of corruption.
Need to bring in English refs for Celtic Rangers games and finals.

Hi Mark, we're aware about the audio levels. We'll look to sort going forward. Cheers
Dessers has got to go
I think you promoting the idea the penalty decision was down to incompetence is a problem. You dig!
VAR is not subjective.
If it’s incompetent officials then why are a certain club never on the receiving end of that incompetence?
He who pays the piper gets the decision.
@ spot on.
It's really really simple. They are better than your club. They play better and hence win more games
@ what a pile of sh1t. Only an idiot thinks refs give nothing against you because you are supposedly better. Typical tarr1er stupidity.
Agreed, our energy level did drop off with subs. More new younger players joining the club will help sustain energy after substitions.
Frank connor integrity has to be questioned
What do you mean you'll not go into conspiracy theories or you'll get in trouble, your RANGERS review , call it what it is blatant cheating, or take your channel of air
As usual, Stevie is the voice of reason.
Derek you are naive if you think that's simply incompetence.
Well said mate. Finally a measured, sane comment.
Exactly mate. Poor decision making in the final third and individual errors lost us the match not referee's
Big time. Our poor decision making is what ultimately cost us yesterday. We've got to take it out of the officials hands completely from now on
This won't stop until we do something about it. It's ridiculous and ignoring it is foolish. Every trophy they win is tainted, corrupt beyond belief.
We are 💯 percent improving lads, as soon as we beat them, thing will change quickly 💪
Painful loss…
…a couple of poor decisions at key times …and another VAR error in their favour (conspiracy theorists are going to go nuts).
Teams should be able to fine the SFA.. the inevitable apology just doesn’t cut it.
Hate to say it. They check rangers goals every week and rangers still no pens all year.
They cannot ignore the statistics.
Dessers should never play for Rangers again. He bottled it…a no.9 who doesnt want to take a pen?!!?
It was a pen. The only way the ref and var team can get away with this one is if Beaton blew his whistle for anothe foul before the shirt pull.
FYI on the line is in the box
💯%
Give a penalty the old way when u are fouled in the box not on the bloody line its ridiculous then no argument
How convenient to be incompetent for that crucial decision? Come on!!
Absolute bullshite
If the ball was on the other foot, 100 percent would have been given.
Every impartial viewer knows this to be true. It is so bad that it is now obvious, like a slow-motion train crash.
Funny how VAR never works properly against the "big" teams....
If the officials are incompetent then the integrity of the match is compromised.
It cannot be incompetence, if you think clearly about it. That is not even on the table. VAR, by its very nature, is not subjective.
Joshua dessers has took penalties and scored for Nigeria
Dessers' mind has gone and it was good of Big Phil to recognise this and not choose, or risk, Dessers as a penalty taker.
Fair play Stevie 👏. Derek and Josh absolutely bottled it
RANGERS ARE BACK
Why are we using home refs for these big games, it should be neutral refs.
😉 Q. When was the last Old Firm with neutral match officials?
We'll take them on the 2nd Jan, I think convincingly. Gers are becoming stronger.
Not if the match official scandal, of epic proportions, has still not been resolved.
In your dreams bud
Hopefully these boys will be up for revenge 🙏 and give us a performance of blood sweat guts and heart 💙
I'm sorry guys, you want the channel to remain professional I think was your words, but a "conspiracy theory" in general usually has some truth to it, if not 'the truth' in its entirety.
He's stealing a wage - the full shebang in they corridors of hampden are 😮
Canny even make a telly deal, man.....c'mon man❕
We've been getting done for years (not referring to decisions) in a financial sense, the standards, grassroots, no efforts to influence kids in order to find the next Andy Robertson. (The aforementioned winner of CL and EPL, obviously)
There are umpteen issues that they need taken to task about. Kris Boyd very correct in his statement that, "in Scotland, football has become a middle-class sport" 😮
Ain't good enough.
In addition, a couple of celtic family members informed me earlier that - "bealing if we don't get that?!"
Also, I find it bamboozling that, following last night's video on the channel - the amount of comments by the other mhob was astonishing 😲 😳
Some really sick characters, while people like my celtic uncle & cousins were out celebrating: more and more entities persistent in roaming on this channel and others like it.......😮
They canny even enjoy their win, it's sheer narcissistic obsession.
Ridvan telegraphed his spot kick. Easy save.
Anybody can miss a penalty,it shouldn't have went that far, poor refereeing decisions cost us
Don't blame ridvan or dessers
Let's unite as we're harder to beat when we're aw together and strong
@nuncaolvidare4895 I will blame dessers because he didn't step up to take one. He is shocking and made us toothless upfront when he came on.
Just a thought, but what’s wrong with giving the manager a chance to challenge a call (yellow card if wrong to stop time wasting)
The Laws of the game are clear (Law 12.3)… “If a defender starts holding an attacker outside the penalty area and continues holding inside the penalty area, the referee must award a penalty kick.”
Derek and Joshua squirming. Well said Stevie. It’s an integrity issue founded on incompetence! You can’t even hide that level of bias!
Rangers need to come out strong on this. That's every OF game in last 2 years we have not got big decisions.
It is obvious to everybody who loves football, integrity and fairness.
If that is Kuan that's a penalty
And a red-card and everybody knows it.
Team is on right track. No doubt.
Guys, I don’t know if it’s just on my TH-cam channel, but on many of your vlogs, when you place a video within your main video, ie, an interview with the manager/a player, the volume drops considerably, becoming almost inaudible? Is there anything you can do about it? Cheers. Jim
We’re aware Jim, will look to sort going forward. Cheers
@ Thanks, Derek et al.
No excuses 1.0 up 4 v 1 and blew it for 2.0 ..another defeat same old story a sickening result and get dessers out of the club asap just standing about instead of stepping up to take a pen he threw yimaz under the bus and on jan 1st put him on transfer list
A young, quick forward who is good at headers would be a great foil for Hamza and Dani.
Who was in the var room
The var team was sutton and lennon.
Alan Muir and Frank Connor as his assistant.
Its obvious isn't it.
Incompetent 🤦♂️ ffs calm it out for what it is . Sick of folk scared to admit what goes on
It's anti rangers bias pure and simple
Stevie is quite right to call out the integrity of the officials. What else can it be....another honest mistake!
Stevie is wise.
It’s blatant it’s time to call both of them out Brenda called out Beaton and he’s shat it every time
This is looking more and more like a quid pro quo.
A much improved performance against Celtic, but undone by the usual mistakes. None of Celtics goals were worldies, they were all down to mistakes by us.
If ur mob scored maedas goal it would have been a worldie . Cop on
Josh, the incident doesnt have to be ,’over the line’ it doesnt have to be obvious, why ,when that foul was given wasn’t it checked, we must need this clarified by those in charge, at the moment the integrity is in question.
VAR protocols are that the penalty had to be checked. Don't assume that it wasn't checked, just because it was an obvious penalty.
Public release of the VAR transcript may reveal what transpired.
The Most Successful team in Scotland now, 119 Trophies 🏆 🇨🇮💚🇨🇮💚🇨🇮💚🙌🙌🙌😂😂😂🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
How do you suggest referee bias when the referee is a well know Rangers supporter. Stand side linesman gave Celtic nothing. Watch it back, regarding penalty incident the whistle for the foul went before they were on the.line.
Only in your obsessed and indoctrinated mind. You know it was a penalty and that Celtic were helped once again but you cannot admit the truth.
@@neilmckechnie6638It's plain as day, the ref blew for the early part of the foul which occurred just outside the area.If you're Rangers you wish he would have waited an instant longer but he didn't so no real argument with the ref or with var.
I’d rather a goalie who can save a penalty than score one, he never got close to saving any of Celtics penalties
Fir the life of me i cant understand why the Celtic supporters in the var room didn't award the penalty, its a total mystery.
Roofe and Morelos had goals chopped off against Celtic that were vital. He lost his job because of it.
Dessers hopefully will realise his time is up and leave the building, one of the worst strikers this club has had.
Who was in the VAR room
Connor and Aitken
Alan Muir and Frank Connor as his assistant.
Why didn’t the ref go to VAR the answer is quite simple the referee is on the take a little brown envelope !!!!!’
Dessers didn't bring anything when he came on. Looks like he has chucked it.
Filip sebo taking it bad
So you ony get penalties if players are claiming for it? Nonsense. Its a penalty end of
I hope Dessers doesn’t get the chance to take a penalty he finds it hard to score from 3 yards never mind 12 yards. ???????
Rangers still don't play with coolness and calm. We don't think at big times in the game. We are still short of a good leader / leaders on the field.
Game intelligence is still a work in progress but this will continue to improve.
