I made an arcane build about a year ago and had a bad experience early game but now I am on the orphan of Kos and I usually win boss fights without taking damage. Thank you for inspiring so many of us
I did a 99 arcane run recently to finally get platinum, and it was a blast. It felt super overpowered, and my weapon options were not limited at all, unlike with a phys damage build. Thank you for uploading these, it helped me find my love for the game again.
Amazing Arcane adventure. I just wish: • Blood Vials and Silver Bullets were always given by default like Honey Estus and Gatorade Estus so we don't have to waste time farming Silver Bullets. • Game restock the rest of the items the same way as Blood Vials and Silver Bullets, that way if you lose the game restock Cocktail, Oil, Marrow powder and the rest. • Theres was at least a Gun that scaled with Arcane for Arcane Bullets. • A Bloodtinge/Arcane weapon. • At least two more Hunter Tools that scale with Bloodtinge, like Madaras Whistle.
I have to have watched this vid for the 10th time by now and I have to say there is no better bloodborne guide vids. The game goes free on ps plus next month but I'm currently playing it has my first souls game and I am loving the game because I'm doing arcane builds only besides my be build, which hasn't even beaten amelia lol. I can't imagine how much time was put into these vids and I'd like to say thanks for inspiring each and everyone of us to try this, even years on!

lost all of my progress on bloodborne with this op arc build :( so sad spent 100+ hours on it and was on ng+18. Also lost bloodtinge build as well as str and skill build. Very nice video though

I have been following this play through and have loved it every step of the way, only problem was that I fucked up and accidentally killed the blood saint and so can't get the milled rune. Guess I am going to NG+ now And to clarify, I could not just download my save, I have auto save off ( since I save scum a lot of things ) and my last save was before Rom, so I decided it would be easier to go to NG+ than play all the way back through the game from Rom.
I finally got a 99 arcane build and its so damn fun, threaded can with +65 arcane scaling and 2 27% arcane radials, its like 500-600 damage on light attack
Same old Two Cold + One Elemental just like other weapons, preferred choices for secondaries are ATK vs Open Foes Up, or if you are doing hit-less boss fight, go for ATK Up at full HP. If it is for certain Beast/Kin boss, enemy type secondaries are more useful then it seems on a 99 Arcane build.

Im not about, its decent its good dmg talk. But this 99 arcane thing is so fun because you get to use everything the game gives to you which would otherwise be impossible. Bullets are viable, tools are viable, guns are viable, its just too much fun.
It took me 10 days to beat Ludwig first time and here he just spam dunked him twice, spell spasmed him twice and hello phase 2 where he spell spasmed him again and belly rubbed him for good finish. Insane.

I'd already had the urge to play Bloodborne again, but seeing these videos really gave me the push to do it with a 99 ARC character. It's been truly fantastic! One question though. I'm new to gem farming. Why would I want Cold gems on Kos Parasite if they just increase ARC scaling? The Parasite is already S in scaling, so wouldn't that be pointless?
It has a high native scaling doesn't prove that increasing it is not worth it The first +65 Cold gem would effectively be the same as a 25% bonus on +10 Kos Parasite given that you have 99 Arcane, and since it can have secondary effect, it can outclass Ebrietas gem slightly The second cold gem is not as good due to diminishing return
How to farm gems without PS+: All dungeons online were created by regular players, so you can surely farm it without PS+. Although you have to find the boss by yourself. 1. Complete all fixed dungeons (see the bottom part of: www.bloodborne-wiki.com/p/chalice-dungeons.html) 2. Back up your savefiles to a USB flash drive 3. Create your own depth 5 FRC (Fetid, Rotten Cursed) dungeon, find the boss you want to farm. If you find it, quit the game right away, back up your save, now you can do save scumming until you get the gem you want. If the whole dungeon does not have the boss you want to farm, use the backup save to recover, so that you don’t waste dungeon material in a useless dungeon. For conversion weapons, Two Cold (+65 Arcane scaling) and One Elemental is all you need. Bosses You would like to farm: Radial (Pthumeru Ihyll Root Chalice): Pthumerian Elder (Cold gem) Triangular (Isz Root Chalice): Ebrietas (Arcane gem), Merciless Watchers (Arcane/Fire/Bolt gems, 11.5%/8.9%/6.4% drop rate), Pthumerian Elder (Cold gem), Brainsucker (Flat Arcane gem for Kos Parasite & Logarius Wheel) Waning (Lower Loran Root Chalice): Watchdog of the Old Lords (Fire gem), Abhorrent Beast (Bolt gem), Pthumerian Elder (Cold gem) There’s something I have to warn you, about this strategy against Elder: th-cam.com/video/rW-0ak3mAqM/w-d-xo.html Keep in mind that, the strategy for farming Elder can only be easily done with the gate remains closed. So you either back up your save before opening the layer 3/4 boss gate (meaning that you can NOT recover the save prior to dungeon creation and thus materials would be wasted if this boss is not the Elder), or, you open the gate to make sure it’s Elder and then proceed to back up (meaning that the strat won’t work). Two solution here if you open the gate prior to backup: 1. Still try to use the strat. A lot of Elder’s move leaves him open for backstab , and so the strat can still work if you get good 2. Spam Blacksky Eye/Executioner’s Gloves to win (would take you more time in average) Lastly, dungeons are designed so that you can do everything offline. Even if you don’t have enough materials for the next dungeon because you rushed through the previous one without acquiring materials hidden in it, the materials for the first dungeon is available at the shop, so you can at least start it all over again. My suggestion for offline players is that, once you get the gem you want, clear the whole dungeon before you remove it, so that you will likely get sufficient materials for the next one. Or just subscribe to PS+ to make it simpler.

Could someone please help me with my build? This is my first pure arcane build and given how grindy this will be i want to make sure i'll be happy with the finished product. The stats are: Level 125 Class:waste of skin Vit:30 End:9 (base) Str:18 Skl:12 Ark:99 The weapons i plan on using are a fire whirligig saw, a bolt beasthunter saif, kos parasite, and an arcane gemmed weapon. Possibly the blades of mercy or hunter's axe (i don't know if these 2 are good on pure arcane). Overall I'm really excited to start making this build but it doesn't feel complete yet. Any ideas for weapons, gems, or different stats?

And if the enemy is extremely weak to Arcane, the Arcane conversion weapons will benefit even more as they deal purely Arcane damage. In the calculation, the choice of gems includes all kinds of Physical gems, Nourishing gems, brainsucker gems, Arcane ATK up gems, Arcane scaling gems, even out-of-shape brainsucker gems. But in that 486 gem combinations, nothing beats conversion weapons, not even close. In the description section of EP 1-5, there's FAQs and one of them mentioned conversion weapons, the section is useful so check it I would worried about only having 30 VIT, but if you have tried builds at BL 120 with 30 VIT and you feel ok, then you will be fine

Coming to think of it that is a really cool connection tho - linking gehrman to the DLC and ultimately to the slaughter of the hamlet!
Is there any reason you use the Saw Spear instead of something with a stronger and more op charged R2 or even something like normal saw cleaver. I’m gonna try this out and I wanted to know if it was better or you just like it more.
1. You need a lot of points in Vitality and Arcane, thus in order to stay at meta level or COOP level, you have few or no points for STR/SKL. If I have used a weapon that someone cannot equip as the main weapon of this build, then people would have troubles. Saw Spear does not have actual stats requirement, because every origin can equip it without leveling up STR/SKL. 2. Serration in both forms, thus it always deals 20% more damage on beasts. 3. Can be acquire very early 4. Versatility. Its R1 is quick. The reach of L1 and Transformed R2 is useful. Transformed Charged R2 has follow up R2 combo that is capable of poise break most enemies 5. The transformed R2 (poke) has 1.33 multiplier, for an R2 that is not fully charged, this is a surprisingly high number, plus it has really good reach. 6. I better pick something easy to use because I was making tutorial videos Saw Spear is the only weapon that has these advantages. Even if you only look at 1. and 2., it's still the only one. Lastly 7. Even if I have my point, that doesn't mean everyone would agree with me. Some might think the advantages I listed are not important. In the end, it's all about personal preference. If I use other weapons, eventually there will be someone asking "Why use ___?", so apparently I should just pick something I like.
Even with the best possible gem, on a 99 Arcane build, Amygdala Arm is surpassed by Arcane Hunter Axe by 29%~54% for most of the attacks, Amygdala Arm would a terrible choice for 99 Arcane build.

Dont use 2 colds on parasite. Use 2 madman, one ebby. It already has S scaling. Madman gems give the best benefit on the whole moveset. 21 + 31.5 Or brainsucc for L2 ofc, as you mentioned
Speed Lee only about 300 runs or so. I do really like the math you have done on like,2 cold Moonlight vs nouri in term of raw beams. Awesome shit. I think 2 27s arc radial and one ebby tri would still be better than 2 colds? Haven’t checked though. I do know best setup is full madman , madman one tri or full ebby oos setup

The context is important; if you are using edited glyphs, then any version works; if not, then depends on whether you care about doing 14 more Damage, if not then normal is the best in the sense that it's the most easily available one

Why untransformed though? Probably 2 Cold + 1 Arcane if you don't have online, 1 Cold + 2 Arcane if you have online

Arcane really amazing. For that 2 shark monster i use shaman boneblade and blacksky eye to cheese the second one. Work like a charm.

I'm not a TH-camr in a sense that it makes money, at least I don't have a plan to monetize at the moment; I do play Elden Ring, but due to dumb marketing strategy by the publisher, I will have to buy a PS5 & a US version of Elden Ring to play the DLC, so it will take some more time; I'll just play BB and Project Zomboid until then

Could someone please help me with my build? This is my first pure arcane build and given how grindy this will be i want to make sure i'll be happy with the finished product.
The stats are:

The weapons i plan on using are a fire whirligig saw, a bolt beasthunter saif, kos parasite, and an arcane gemmed weapon. Possibly the blades of mercy or hunter's axe (i don't know if these 2 are good on pure arcane). Overall I'm really excited to start making this build but it doesn't feel complete yet. Any ideas for weapons, gems, or different stats?

For a 99 Arcane build, Arcane Conversion weapons easily surpass Burial Blade & Blade of Mercy. And if the enemy is extremely weak to Arcane, the Arcane conversion weapons will benefit even more as they deal purely Arcane damage.
In the calculation, the choice of gems includes all kinds of Physical gems, Nourishing gems, brainsucker gems, Arcane ATK up gems, Arcane scaling gems, even out-of-shape brainsucker gems. But in that 486 gem combinations, nothing beats conversion weapons, not even close.
In the description section of EP 1-5, there's FAQs and one of them mentioned conversion weapons, the section is useful so check it
I would worried about only having 30 VIT, but if you have tried builds at BL 120 with 30 VIT and you feel ok, then you will be fine

@@speedlee1243 Okay so at the end of your video you get the 'old hunter badge' - i thought this would be a dlc related item that i have yet to get, but it turns out it is merely the badge to unlock gehrmans outfit and weapon.
Coming to think of it that is a really cool connection tho - linking gehrman to the DLC and ultimately to the slaughter of the hamlet!

Is there any reason you use the Saw Spear instead of something with a stronger and more op charged R2 or even something like normal saw cleaver. I’m gonna try this out and I wanted to know if it was better or you just like it more.
1. You need a lot of points in Vitality and Arcane, thus in order to stay at meta level or COOP level, you have few or no points for STR/SKL. If I have used a weapon that someone cannot equip as the main weapon of this build, then people would have troubles. Saw Spear does not have actual stats requirement, because every origin can equip it without leveling up STR/SKL.
2. Serration in both forms, thus it always deals 20% more damage on beasts.
3. Can be acquire very early
4. Versatility. Its R1 is quick. The reach of L1 and Transformed R2 is useful. Transformed Charged R2 has follow up R2 combo that is capable of poise break most enemies
5. The transformed R2 (poke) has 1.33 multiplier, for an R2 that is not fully charged, this is a surprisingly high number, plus it has really good reach.
6. I better pick something easy to use because I was making tutorial videos
Saw Spear is the only weapon that has these advantages. Even if you only look at 1. and 2., it's still the only one.
Lastly
7. Even if I have my point, that doesn't mean everyone would agree with me. Some might think the advantages I listed are not important. In the end, it's all about personal preference. If I use other weapons, eventually there will be someone asking "Why use ___?", so apparently I should just pick something I like.

I was thinking of using the amygdalan arm for my second 99 arcane build and gems you know that would be good
Even with the best possible gem, on a 99 Arcane build, Amygdala Arm is surpassed by Arcane Hunter Axe by 29%~54% for most of the attacks, Amygdala Arm would a terrible choice for 99 Arcane build.

Dont use 2 colds on parasite. Use 2 madman, one ebby. It already has S scaling. Madman gems give the best benefit on the whole moveset. 21 + 31.5

I didn't say two cold would be the best setup, I only said it's an "easily accessible" gem set. Farming madman from perfect gem is painful.
Speed Lee only about 300 runs or so. I do really like the math you have done on like,2 cold Moonlight vs nouri in term of raw beams. Awesome shit. I think 2 27s arc radial and one ebby tri would still be better than 2 colds? Haven’t checked though. I do know best setup is full madman , madman one tri or full ebby oos setup

I find chalice dungeon farming to be generally difficult in terms of getting good elemental, arcane, and cold gems. Does anyone have any tips so I may not feel so lost when trying to get the best gems for my arcane build?

Unless you didn't properly level up HP, otherwise it's just a hacker who can one shot you anyway even if you do other builds.

Lost versions are the BEST For arcane builds or depends on the weapon?
The context is important; if you are using edited glyphs, then any version works; if not, then depends on whether you care about doing 14 more Damage, if not then normal is the best in the sense that it's the most easily available one
