Forget About Freeman turned out to be a bit tricky since it's already so metal to begin with. Had to take a break from it and Guard Down now came together within two days or so. Let's see which one gets done first.
Like I said on another comment, it's just something totally different. My version is much closer to the source, while they wrote entirely new songs with some homage to the originals. I'm kinda glad that this is what they did, because if they had done more straight up covers like I did, their version would have just simply been better (because it's Matt freaking Heafy, holy sh*t ) and made mine obsolete.
You might wanna stay tuned then - with how popular this remix has gotten over the last months, I'm strongly considering doing more. No promises, but certainly considering.

This remix has been very popular compared to other things on my channel, so not entirely sure what you mean. It started very slow for the first 2 months but then kinda exploded. Because of that., I'm definitely considering doing more. Not sure yet when and what exactly, but it's certainly interesting to me.

Well they just went in a different direction with it. I stayed fairly close to the source and just sprinkled in new parts here and there while they paid homage to the main theme and then built an entirely new song around it. I'm honestly glad they did something like that, if they had done a more straight up cover / remix like I did, they would have just done a better job at it than me and my version would be entirely obsolete haha
Thisnmade me think of how amazing a metal song for Heket would be, her songs broken vocals being death growls, fuck yeah. This Leshys theme is awesome tho, wish it was in the game
With how popular this one has gotten over the last weeks, I'm definitely considering it. No promises, my bread and butter (and what draws most of my audience) is Half Life, but so many people have been asking for more CotL boss themes, I'd be an idiot to not at least consider it.
