some people don't seem to understand its an interpretation of a musical piece its not like this guy is saying this is exactly how its played there is no other way
kellox steht im wald no it isnt. Bass drum is way to loud for the style, dame of the back beats rim shots he was play in the beginning are unnecessary, also he played the bass drum on 1,3 when the bass player was planing on all 4s. Hi hat technique was meh, (the swooshing jazz sound). Sometimes his posture is crooked. I can go on all day. I’m not trying to down on this drummer but the fact that you said it was perfect triggered me. No musician will be ever be perfect just probably better then us. every pro players have some spots they aren’t fluid at. For example Steve Gadd’s technique is physically incorrect. He is moving his wrist joint(the back of his hands facing outward at a 80% angle) vertically. Naturally your wrist is design to move (palms DOWN) vertically not palms away. I’m not saying I’m better than Steve Gadd(which I’m not) but no one is perfect. NO ONE.
I seriously love this cover so much, it looks like you were just having a great time and not trying to play it exactly like gene krupa and its amazing, great sounding kit too
Been playing drum's for 12 month's. - Thought this tune would be a walk in the park WRONG. See folk play it all so differently, I got very confused. In the end I just got close and began to loosen up and feel the 'Swing'. I'm 60 so learning seems to take me longer. Played bass since I was 17 though. This was a fabulous find - thank you Sir.
SUPERB! I'm teaching my 2year old daycare babies this. We call it the 'Elephant Birthday Party' song, pretending they're late for the party, gotta run! Don't forget the present! Remember your invitation - they won't let you in without it! I narrate them through a jungle warning melted ice cream if you don't run fast enough! Glad to have found this version!!! They bang on pots & buckets & think they're this good! 😀😁😋😺☺️
Very very well played sir! I may try this myself soon. I have no doubt that it will come nowhere near to your rendition in terms of skill, timing and flare. Applause all round.
I love that you did your own thing! It was great. I could feel the burn at about 4 minutes in your left leg. It's a tough song and that constant hihat for 5 and half minutes just turns your leg to jello.
Dang man, you're great and very versatal or however you spell it haha. i like that you are controlled and are'nt allover the place. in my opinion this is the best cover of this song I've heard. I've been playing almost 17 years now. God Bless man, keep choppin.
the classics are so much harder to do rather than the now. u are awesome for letting the new kids of the age recognize true artistic drumming. and i'm more of a guitar player myself!
Yup i agree, but not for this occasion. I feel like a really ringy tone would be better you know? None the less it is pretty good, Its just the tuning.
You look like you’re having a great time and that’s what makes this so good
Who wouldn’t?
It’s an awesome song
You’re exactly right. I play trumpet and I’ve played this song before. I just don’t know how the drummers do it, they have such good talent.
さらっと、安定感があってめっちゃ綺麗なリズムで叩いてる。すごすぎる
why should anybody dislike that? He has his own version and thats okay.
people also have their own opinion and that's okay
+Victor Pena but this is perfekct.

you give someone a gold coin and he'll complain its too heavy.
Reese, one word brother, EXCELLENT

この演奏がかっこよすぎてこんど吹部で叩くけど勝手にアレンジしちゃおう😂
楽しそうに叩いているのが本当に最高
安定感があって好き
This cover just gives me energy and motivation when I need it! Especially love the beginning; I start moving as soon as you start playing!!👍👍👍👍

Nicely done - very tasteful and a great homage to the original.
Dude, I have this turned up so loud my living room windows are vibrating. Wonderful job.
That snare is so tight. Love it.
テンポがあってるだけでこんなに素晴らしい演奏に聞こえるんだね
そこら辺のドラム好き なぞw

A huevo!
Now this is what I call as Jazz Drum Cover. Jazz tends to create something new from original
Nice to see a talented young black man that appreciates Gene Krupa's drumming artistry! Well done sir. Keep up the good work, I really enjoyed that!
Very righteous sound my guy, thank you for taking us there 🔥 🥁

Love your interpretation. Great job!
Very very well played sir! I may try this myself soon. I have no doubt that it will come nowhere near to your rendition in terms of skill, timing and flare. Applause all round.
Good job my man, Gene is legend!

You gave me the best moment of my day... Awesome!!!
This must have been the Led Zep of its day. Great Job!! Makes me wanna tap my toes!
Nice cover dude!
自分は素人だから音楽の知識は無いんだけど、すごく楽しそうって事ときっとすごく上手いんだろうなって事は分かる!
This is absolutely kicking! Swings like a boss. Brilliant. Ty! 😀😀😀
I could picture you playin behind me as horn player! I don’t mind the dislikes. You did an aswome job to make it your own and that is making music!
Thoroughly enjoyed this...and the t-shirt too haha, keep it up dude :)
It looks like you taught yourself how to play the drums in the way you hit the kicker and hold your sticks, good job on the cover!!
Flat foot technique is standard in jazz. French grip on floor tom is not too odd as well. Not sure how you came to that assumption.
Slayer agreed
I would just like to award you with the prestigious “most kind hearted back handed compliment” on TH-cam. Congrats!
Incredibly talented!
Simply great how you play the drums!!!
Great job man Love that XHH crash.
BGMが無くても、BGMが聞こえてくるぐらい最初の一打から凄いと思った
Nice 👍
Love the shirt too😅
I luv this song so much
Outstanding!
This gave me tingles! Bravo!
Great job man! Keep it going bro-

Very good version. I like it very much. Thank you for playing and uploading. Best regards from Germany.
What a god. You are so talented. I could barely keep the beat lol. Mad props.
just wonderful. love the fills and spice you added

I decided to quit jazz drum after watching buddy rich's sing sing sing, but catch my confidence back when watching this video!
the classics are so much harder to do rather than the now. u are awesome for letting the new kids of the age recognize true artistic drumming. and i'm more of a guitar player myself!
Fantastic my man 👍
Bravo Reese 👏👏👏dall'italia🇮🇹
Beautifully played! keep on drumming!
This song just fucking hits
Great job this is one of my favorite songs to pay on drums

Absolutely fantastic! Gene Krupa would have loved this!
Very nicely done. It's obvious that you're enjoying yourself!
So good
Awesome cover you're amazing!
Really awesome job my man, great cover!
Very good
Nice... in the 1958 World's Fair version Roy Burns kept up the beat for 15 minutes including what is arguably the best drum solo ever...
Omg Fantastic drumming! perfect time
I don't know why anyone was later freaked out by Rock 'N' Roll. That floor tom alone here will bump up the wildness.
Beautiful job, now where are you going to put the cow bell?
Nice Job Brother!! Great Demonstration!!
Great drumming Reese!!! Keep drumming brother
Bravo
