Small Thailand Towns Are The Best For Motorbike Tours

- Welcome to Day 3 of the Mae Hong Son Motorbike Tour. Today we venture into the forest to find a waterfall. The road quickly evaporated to sand and rocks, and thne I was not sure if I was walking in the right direction to the waterfall. After the waterfall escapades, I stopped for a less than delicious lunch. A temple with MANY steps to climb proved to be the next challenge, but I was rewarded with a great view. Join me for another wacky day of me getting lost on the Mae Hong Son Motorbike tour.

The trip has gone well throughout the countryside, almost zero traffic and you have all the roads to yourself..how nice!!, the waterfall looks terrific up the peak...the abandoned air strip is another good spot for testing your bike 🏍....the pricey Thai lunch was bit on the high side... the pizza 🍕 looks delicious at a fairer price...the 360° cinematic views are excellence 👌...thanks Serg for showing us around the places...stay safe and be happy...🎉😂
I’m glad you’re enjoying all of my silly little adventures. I’m very happy to share them with all of you. More to come soon.
More Tour is always good. I love to see people travel in Thailand.
Glad you’re enjoying it
I love the creativity on the motorcycle angles, really adds a lot of immersion. That waterfall was so awesome and the flow was great. I would totally buy that computer, such a cool look to it!
Yeah, that computer really got me excited. Ha ha.P
Loving the motorcycle tour videos Serg! I'm planing on heading south on my ADV350 early next year. Your welcome to come along for a ride if want to.😊
You should have a great time! I will probably do a south trip next month of early January.
@@LifewithSerg Maybe see you on the road one day.😀
Hey Serg,I noticed you lost weight man, looking good please keep doing what you been doing 🤞🙏
Honestly, I don’t know if I’ve lost weight or not. When I get back from this three week adventure, I’ll be curious to see what my scale says.
In Thailand and abroad, there are about 42,000 temples that Thai people have faith in and have joined in building, and the building with the highest construction value in Thailand is Wat Dhammakaya in Pathum Thani Province. The construction budget is more than 20 billion US dollars.
42,000?! 😳😱 Wow
Interesting, my favorite temple in Thailand is called Wat Santitham in Chiang Mai. Exquisite wood work, statue, and grounds enjoyed very much. Hoping he goes there in a video! Is Wat Dhammakaya open to foreigners?
Enjoying your vids, and as a biker for more than 30 years, those tour segments are delectable 🤩
My wife and I will be visiting Thailand for the first time this December, can't wait to see Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Pai, Mae Hong Son with our own eyes 😎
I’m glad you’re enjoying these videos! I’ve got a couple more coming that have a lot more riding in them
Welcome to Thailand😂❤ We waiting you
I always love your feel-good attitude wherever you go. It really makes the journey ever-pleasant. For the cheaper mobile phone, you probably need to reset your current position and start anew with your destination. I enjoy following you on the back seat. Thank you.
Nah, this phone just lags a bit. It’s been ok for my needs. Glad to bring you along. 😊
Seems like an excited ride to explore the hidden gem of Thailand via your lens, thanks Serg,be safe throughout the trip.
You bet! Thanks.
Can we go in here (airport)?
Serg: hell yeah! 😂👍🏼
Geez it feels like you’re going so quickly- I feel like a backseat driver going ahh slow down what if a dog runs out onto the road? My dogs would’ve gone nuts in those rivers and waterfalls! Loving this series. Beautiful countryside. Thanks for your effort in putting these together! Love watching them.
Even when I watch this, it looks ridiculously fast. Trust me, the video makes it look much faster than it really is.
Mae Hong Son is a small town but the nature is beautiful and peaceful.
It was awesome. I’ll be back.
Yes!!! Motorcycle tours are the most fun to watch for me. Thank you.
Glad you’re enjoying it! There’s four more episodes coming after this one
Really amazing tour. All the camera work is truly appreciated. Thanks for putting in all the work. Looking forward to the next video.
So happy to know you enjoyed it. New one in a few days.
Hey Serg i am also a retired law enforcement officer from Massachusetts and riding motorcycle for long time....inspired by your vlog and visiting Bangkok soon and like to have a beer with you...Ride safe brother.
I hope you have a wonderful time here. My schedule can be pretty wacky, but you can reach out to me via email, or Instagram. Both are listed in the description of this video.
Thanks very much Serg.....if you kindly send a link to rent motorcycle in Bangkok would be great.....I would love to ride with you ,if you have time.....Ride safe Brother.
Please be careful while driving, Especilly morterbikes and mortercycles because at the intersection there will be cars of local people driving out It could be dangerous (This happens often in my country)
Love you and good wishing to you
From thai people💖🇹🇭💖
Oh yes I am being careful. Thanks.
You better live there during cold season, you will love it. It is my dream to move from Bangkok to the north in winter and move back in March,Chiengrai is cool after January.
I do love the weather here in the winter. It’s so nice.
One of my interests is hiking to waterfalls and those waterfalls you "found" were awesome!
It was a small, but really pretty waterfall. I love the fact that no one was there.
Most of the smoke comes from neighboring countries. from the wind that blows
In Bangkok, smoke comes from burning Cambodia. to do agriculture in almost the entire country And the wind blows into Bangkok more than 90% because the central region doesn't like to burn. and most of them grow fruit orchards
Thailand is not innocent in this.
The roads and terrain there reminds me of eastern Kentucky.
I’ve never been to Kentucky, but I have been quite a few rural parts of the US, so I totally agree with you
Yes thanks Serg your motorbike tours are very good , we always see lots of different things .
Great! I’ve got four more episodes from this tour coming over the next week
If you love traveling with motobike, you have to visit Nan provice. Especially Pua and Bor-klure district , there are the stunning beautiful routes for riding. It a must do for biker.❤
I will definitely add it to my list
This trip looked very interesting. The pizza looked very good. I love pizza. I am half sicilian on my mother's side. Take care and keep safe. I look forward to each of your trips.
The pizza was actually surprisingly good! There are a couple of amazing pizza places in Bangkok, that I order from an almost regular basis. Lol.
I recommend you a beautyful waterfall at Tak province. It is Tee-lor- zu waterfall. If you have time, put in your trip. Enjoy.
I don’t think I will have time on this trip, but thank you for the suggestion
I do in fact enjoy these videos, keep 'em coming ^^
Glad yon like them!
I always enjoy your trips and you getting lost some where :)
Glad you like them!
Yes, I am watching every episode of your motorcycle tour as fast as they come out.
Glad you enjoying it.
You’re always going the right way in Thailand….
Ha ha. Yessss
Nice one Serg and I'm definitely enjoying seeing you out and about out of Bangkok on the Motorcycle Tour - more please 👍🏻🛵
Glad you enjoyed. I’ve got about three or four more episodes in the pipeline.
Great content as usual! I am loving this motorbike tour! But, I think you miss counted the number steps! 🤣
Glad you’re enjoying this tour. I’ve got at least three or four more videos for the series.
@@LifewithSerg can’t wait to see them!
0:40 Thu Nov 16 2023. Good Morning Serg From Gilbert Arizona USA. Your tour today was absolutely beautiful. The waterfalls are amazing. I have truly enjoyed your video tours. The views are amazing. Lunch was a bit expensive and didn't sound good. The top of the temple was definitely magnificent. Definitely worth the hike. The temple is really ornate. Great video, can't wait to see more. Healthy Blessings and safe travels. 20:49
Sunny Arizona. Hope everything is ok with you. I have more videos from this series coming.
Loving and Loving Life 🇹🇭 🙏🏻 🏍️
Thank you!
you are very skilled to drive the bike everywhere
Thanks! 30 years of riding will do that. 😊
I enjoy your countryside riding adventures, Serg, including the last one. That meal for 290 Baht ? Wow, you were robbed! Hope you know that you can report that to TAT to have them get fined and stop that exploitation. That'll help other fair Thais not to be included or generalized in criticisms.
These things happen. The price for the chicken was on the menu, I just thought it would be a lot better than the dried garbage I was served.
Love your trip , one of the nicer waterfalls.
Gotta give you kudos for wearing the riding suit much better than wearing jeans like a lot of us would
It was a nice little waterfall
The suit has protection, and it’s breathable. Plus, it keeps me from getting sunburnt and from overheating to constant exposure to the sun. It actually works quite well.
Have a wonderful time Serg.
I am having a blast!
Sure, I'd like to see you get lost more. It's exciting! However, I want to see Thung Bua Tong ( Mexican sunflower field) and natural hot spring in Mae Hong Son if possible. It'll be awesome 😁
I think you will really enjoy my next video then. 😉
@@LifewithSerg 👍👍👍👍
I'm really enjoying the video's Serg. The motorbike tours are very interesting so keep em coming if you will.
I have four more coming. The next one is tomorrow. Very happy to know you like them.
Ah that's why they say Chiang Mai is polluted. Thanks for the explanation. However, it's a bonus that it's weather can be cooler than Bangkok for sure.
Yes, that is exactly why the air quality index in Chiang Mai gets so bad. It is cooler there, but between the poor air quality, and just Deorro feel, it’s not a place I would love.
Don't miss the great festival " Loy Khathong" 27 november 2023.
Chiang Mai have " Sky lantern" It is very beautyful.
I will not be in Chiang Mai for that festival. I will have to find another place to enjoy.
I can recommend Mok Fa waterfall on your way back to Chiang Mai. It cost 100 bath but I think it was worth it.
Thanks for letting me know, I’ll see if I can check it out
@@LifewithSerg It is very close to the main road between Pai and Chiang Mai, only like 5-10 minutes.
It is a beautiful park and waterfall.
Yep, loved it. Small and secluded.
Love the ride and the ambient, thanks 😂
Glad you enjoyed it
Enjoyed this video, Thai culture is quite interesting.
I think you’ll find the next one even more interesting. Thanks for your support.
Awesome video ❤️
Thank you 🤗
He Serg, great VDO again. You also mentioned the reason for choosing the smaller ADV because of Bangkok traffic, probably because of my earlier comment/question😉. What i was wondering (and hoping) is: if you could make a VDO explaining side-stuff and bike related-stuff that comes with road-tripping. I think a lot of people a will be interested. Stuff like: what do you bring with you, how many kilometers do you drive per day, what preparations did you make, what kind of insurance do you have, etc.. Just basic Thailand related road-trip stuff apart from the sight-seeing and so on. Complements for all your effort. I guess managing your channel consumes quite some time, apart from the fun part. Every time i see a new upload i'm excited!
I will definitely consider making such a video. If you go to the last video of my Ko Samui tour, I broke down everything that I brought. I will also cover everything that a cherry at the end of this trip as well.
Cool!! Still working on the backlog of watching all of your older vdo's. So i'll come by the KohSamui trip soon. Thanks an be safe.@@LifewithSerg
Motorbiketours are super Serg. Very nice initiative.
Yes they are! Having so much fun.
Yes, I have a lot enjoy 😊 on your motorbike journey but perfect time for that in Thailand is during October to February only, during Dry Season not recommended.😅
I’ve done three other motor bike trips in Thailand during the dry season and it was a lot of fun
From behind the bike is some how looks like Ducati 😊
Ha ha. Yes it does look like that!
@@LifewithSerg time for a big bike 😁
How cute. 🥰🥰👧🏻 I want to see more, but please don’t get lost in the forest. There are have no 7-11. 😅😅
You’re so right about the 7-Elevens! There are none in the forest. Lol.
Ho men, you are in for a treat. Brace yourself. To Mae Sariang, bit curvy. To Mae Hon son get's something else. Lot's of nice view point. Long neck tribe. If you can, help them, $
In Mae hon son, you can get a Certificate of conquest for conquering the 4088 curves of the Mae Hon Son Loop. Be carefully with the blind curves, stick to the very left. Have Fun.
I am a bit ahead of the videos that you’re seeing, so let’s just say yes, to all those things you mentioned. 😉
yes love your touring vlogs.... more pls
More to come!
You should play the gong 3 times this is everything I know!😂
Ahhhh. Lol.
Have a great motor bike journey.go a very carefully.the roads some places isn't good roads.
Yes for sure!
Take care 🙏ขอให้มีความสุขในทุกวันค่ะ🎉
I really do appreciate that
Nice video Serg! That computer looked like an old Apple II+ or IIe, haven’t seen one of those in a long time 😀
I figured out what it was. It was an Asian Apple clone.
Enjoying the trip so far and its one I want to do when I move to Thailand, just wondering if there is a reason you have the headlights on "high beam" all the time?
I’ve always run highbeams on my motorcycles on during the day for more visibility. I of course turn them off when it gets dark. Glad you’re enjoying the series. More videos from this tour to come.
Definately enjoy this tour. i'm stuck on my desk for work constantly without vacation for awhile.
Happy to give you a virtual tour! Please take care of yourself.
if you have time to make the road trip I have time to watch you
That’s what I want to hear! Thank you for your support
I love a good tour
Thanks!
เที่ยวให้สนุกนะครับ เดินทางปลอดภัย
Thank you!
You need to watch out for the dog the most. Never ever drive on the night!
I definitely do not ride my bike at night. Only inside the small cities if I have to go for dinner or something.
I enjoy it a lot 😊
Great to hear that!
It’s so easy to get lost (heck, we got lost in Central World mall yesterday…couldn’t find our way out for a while! lol)
Hey, don’t feel bad. I’ve gotten lost in centralwOrld more than several times.
@@LifewithSerg 😂 we enjoy your videos (watch them in our TV at home in US but staying in Thailand this month…absolutely love it and considering moving!)
@candyandjason guys, please have a wonderful time here. This country is not perfect, but it has so much to offer.
Not only touring but show some hotels options , rentals at where you’re staying overnight would be great too.
This isn’t a hotel review trip. I’m only showing whatever place I pick, otherwise the video would be too long and boring.
I wish for your happy & safely journey. I'm enjoy the exploring.
Thank you so much!
I ave soo Much fun nice video ❤
Thank you 🤗 more to come.
คุณเก่งและกล้าหาญมาก🎉
Aww thanks!
Love the trip
Thanks!
Really enjoying these motorcycle vlogs Serg. It’s better to walk up the steps more to see rather than driving up. The waterfall is amazing . A nice little town you’re staying in . The pizza 🍕 looked proper tasty 🤤. Stay safe Serg
I’m really enjoying this trip. I’ve gotten to experience so many things, and meet so many interesting people.
1864 curb from changmai to maehongsorn
Yes so much fun.
Love your video
Very happy to know that
So ! local thailand. good tip
I love the small towns
Hi. Serg...🤩...Have a good trip...🛵🛣️⛰️...Take care of yourself...💪💝
Thank you, I will
@@LifewithSerg Have you had dinner yet...?...Have a happy rest...🌛🥳🌜
I enjoy your videos, but man you got farang priced on that lunch!
Yeah, that lunch was shit, it happens.
For the area you are in, to have pizza at that quality is really amazing.
Yah it was bomb!
Good to meet you tonight In Pai Serg. Keep up the good work, look forward to the rest of this series. Cheers Mike and Aoi (says your much more handsome in real life 😅)
Was great to meet you guys! Enjoy the rest of your trip! Tell Aoi thanks! ☺️
The touring videos are great. I will never get to most of the places you guys visit on the tours… Though my Bangkokian brother in-law has taken us on a road trip to the north each time we’ve visited. Anyway, seeing the sites through the videos is enough for me. ;-) Thanks! And keep it up.
I’m very happy to know that. More videos from this tour coming up.
Serg i guess the bottle of water was 10 baht, snack 10 baht and the woman gave you the ice drink for free . because it cant be that cheap
Yeah, I’m not sure what happened there. But I’ve been to other places where I’ve bought a similar amount of things for very cheap and small towns.
Chicken and garlic about 285 bath. Normally, In Thailand food shop or any others shop should have menu and price list. Client are able desire to buy or not buy. If they do not have it. It is illegal.
I need the price of the chicken, but I was surprised how much they charge me for the rice and a Coke. It’s OK
@@LifewithSerg If 200 bath. I think It expensive. I've been Koh Le pe (Phuket). They also charge me expensive dish but they serve me big dish. But for me small portion and small price enough. In conclusion tourist always charged high price. Not only western but include Thai too.
It looks like the first restaurant charged you the farang price......pizza looked delicious ....Matt
Yep. I think they did. And I would have been totally ok if the food was good. It was not. Oh well. It happens
Hi Serg I think it was an Apple IIe. Ride Safe anyway.
It definitely was not an apple. I figured it out, it was an Asian Apple clone.
@@LifewithSerg Right! you bet it was Asian Apple clone.
Have to hand it to you, kind of gutsy roaming around in the countryside like that. What happens if you have a bike breakdown such as a flat? Are there places around to help you?
This country is so reliant on motorbikes for transportation that every little town has at least two or three motorbike shops. So it would not be a problem.
@Serg, I would assume they wouldn't leave a mallet next to the gong if they didn't want you to strike it! Just a guess, not sure with cultural differences.
That’s what I figured! Lol
love love
Thanks!
Inthira restaurant is famous one in Mae Sariang district.
Famous for overcooked chicken and high prices? Lmao
เยี่ยมยอดเลยครับ
Thanks!
Yes more tours please
I’ve got more episodes from this tour coming up.
So cool thank you Serg
Thank you so much for your support
Hi Serg..May I correct you in addresing in calling Thaland as Kingdom of Thailand instead of Country of Thailand. Thank you
awesome
Thanks!
7:30 I agree, they were not fair AT ALL for that price.
Yep. Oh well.
Don’t ring bells if you don’t understand what they’re for. If in doubt, keep your hands to yourself! Burning season occurs every year at the same time, between mid-January and mid-April. The intensity of the season varies from year to year and can sometimes be prolonged to May.
Yes Dad. I promise not to misbehave again.
You are overtaking on sharp bend. Superb but dangerous.
You’re jumping to conclusions due to camera angles. You’re seeing things on video from a low chestmount camera viewpoint. I have a much different vantage point while I’m riding. Trust me, I’m not overtaking anyone through blind curves. I’ve been writing for 30+ years, I’m not about to end it all on one stupid pass. Please don’t worry. I’m careful.
@@LifewithSerg Good to hear that 😀
Glad you enjoyed the Pizza !!
I love it!
❤❤ เที่ยวเมืองไทยสนุกได้ทุกจังหวัดครับ.👍👍❤️❤️🇹🇭🇹🇭
Yes, so much fun.
Your lunch price is for the” FARANG “ so over prices .
Yeah, that one was ridiculous, oh well.
I wish I could have a chance to get a bike of my dream (Triumph Rocket 3R) and going out like you do. Even though I was born and raised in Thailand (Bangkok definitely to be exact) but still have no chance to do so.
That is a beautiful bike! Even if that’s out of your reach, buy something else, and go do it. At the end of our lives, we typically regret the things that we didn’t do.
You can tell that chicken had been refried. You were probably served leftovers.
Probably. Crappy meal, but it happens.
