I think it is also rude of some tourists to even ask if they can touch the horse. What part of 'do not touch' do they think does not or should not apply to them. If they are visiting a museum with priceless artefacts that say the same thing will they ask if it is okay to touch.
Are they ever going to straighten the new iconic sign? The new sign is in a terrible location not only because people constantly stand in front of it, hiding it from view most of the time, but people also press against the sign which causes it to shift positions. The sign for both guard boxes need to be moved to the other side of the box and placed high enough that tourists do not block the view or press against it, causing the sign to shift. Why can't the administrators figure that out?

Mr O R Monde has been brought over twice with the Blues but we are yet to see him in the box. Why? 😢 Bring back Ormonde, we miss him! Also would like to see Rarden back with the Life Guards! Agreed with others comments re the inconsistency of the troopers enforcing the new rules 🤷
I was thinking the same. I understand it’s meant to clarify the sign above, but I almost think it would stand out more on the other side of the arch, and higher up. It’s right at the height of people posing, so half the time it’s blocked from sight.
For people who are allergic to bee stings use epi pens. It's meant to reduce reaction. They don't jamb it in their heart! They usually jam it into their thigh. In california we teachers have to take extra fraining if we have students who are allergic to bee stings and then carry the pens with us on field trips!
Since the guards are not enforcing the do not touch the horse rule, I guess they are ok looking like a cheap tourist attraction instead of the Kings Royal Guards.

Not sure if you'll see this but the best cure for instant relief from a bee sting is to put wet tobacco on it. My grandma used to chew and when I got stung by a wasp when I was a child, she immediately broke off a piece she was chewing on and covered that sting. It stopped hurting immediately and didnt' even swell. I think it's something about the nicotine in it maybe. Dunno. I just know it worked and I've used that concoction every since. Even broke up cigarettes and spit on it if I didnt' have any water. old Appalachian mountain remedy.
Oh well - looks like I’ll be shouting “get your grubby mitts off the horse” at the screen for a while yet. At least they used to have the “don’t touch the reins” rule sorted but one man wasn’t just mauling the horse but was grabbing the reins too and the guard said nothing. I’d say they must be getting conflicting orders to not shout at tourists who ignore the signs that someone has decided needed to be changed and even had pictorial signs erected if it wasn’t for the fact that the lady guards are more than up for enforcing the rules. Looks like I’ll have to stock up on Kalms for the foreseeable future.
I love your channel. I have no idea why I watch it for an hour every day, but I enjoy your comments and your outrage at the behavior of the tourists. Fascinating and sometimes infuriating.
The troopers have a responsibility to enforce the rules regarding their horses. The are military horses on duty not ponies in a petting zoo. Hopefully they are called out by their superiors. Its confusing and unfair to the tourists. Things are looking sloppy,no chain up, a sign all crooked, and a couple of Troopers sitting there like two lazy lumps, not looking like they are in control at all. So much for on guard.

I would love to know what the guards were told about the new signs. And even better to be a fly in the wall when they found out no touching would be a possibility. Until they all equally enforce it I'll take it as not really rule just more of a suggestion. 🤷♀️. I'd love the know how they generally feel about it. Hope you feel better John. ❤
Hi John. Zanador (spelling). loves attention. He is a very sweet guy. He is interacting with the people so that’s why they touch him. He is a gelding from pictures I have. Great to get his name. I had him as unknown. 😊 Sometimes the horse is happier and not being yanked away with the reins 😊 Yes they shouldn’t be touching him like they are. I have to stop reading comments because I get a little annoyed at so many people criticizing the guards. It will never stop completely. I will just enjoy your video as usual.
I think it's frustrating for people because there are signs there. If petting the horse is going to be allowed maybe the signs should say ask before touching. IDK

Hi John: great to hear you’re feeling better. I had COVID two weeks ago, not pleasant at all. Hot toddy would be a good idea. Here we go again. No enforcement of the sign. 😢
The young man with the beard near the end around the 1hr mark that was touching the horse all over and grabbing at the reins appeared to be doing it on purpose simply to get a reaction from the Guard. Not just once but went back for seconds. He couldn't have been more obvious if he'd tried.

Hey John. What you need to do is the next time someone touches the horse, politely ask them if they could please translate the sign for you, then loudly say, "oh, so we are NOT allowed to touch the horse... thank you."
I am really disappointed in these guards....It is partly their fault for not telling them to DONT TOUCH. One of the guards even shook his head yes when a lady ask if she could touch the horse...... Its not right that they are not holding to the rules themselves.
I am starting to think that the troopers have been told to not to say anything. Even after the police officer told them not to touch some stupid woman went straight up and did just that. John or you don't know what the Life Guards have been told.
@@penelopeverstege4475 I dont understand why they are not enforcing the rules either. 🤬🤬😡😡
@@penelopeverstege4475 it isn't rocket science, there are signs that say "Don't Touch!"
@@penelopeverstege4475Doesn't speaks the new signs volume?
Yes I can read but not everyone speaks English. Signs need to be put on both sides plus a cop to monitor would help too.@@rennaehanson9996
Good morning from 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🌾🌾🌾🍁🍁🍁🍁. Always look forward to your videos!
Love your sense of humour John. Take care and hope you are well soon. .
Lets give guards a break we don,t know what they,ve been told.yes l agree people need to get the message but they could spend all day yelling.horses are stunning
Guards should enforce the rules or not be allowed out with the horse.
It IS part of their job…
Take good care of yourself John!! Truly appreciate all your efforts!
John, I am loving your wonderful dry English humour! It takes one to appreciate it! If I could giggle out loud I would, but have to respect the others in my household!
I think it is also rude of some tourists to even ask if they can touch the horse. What part of 'do not touch' do they think does not or should not apply to them. If they are visiting a museum with priceless artefacts that say the same thing will they ask if it is okay to touch.
Glad your feeling better John
Thanks John for an amazing video as always and everyone remember you matter ❤
I really appreciate your daily comment. You matter too.😊
Oh my goodness…the first horse…head high, ears perked forward…just made me catch my breath. Beautiful! 💕
I dont understand why they cant enforce the no touching sign. It just takes one tourist to start it and the rest will do it until told stop.
Why aren't the troopers telling the tourists NOT to touch the horse, it's annoying! What's the point of having the sign up?!
Or a guard not doing his job?
I don't know who I was more angry with the guards not doing their job or all those ignorant tourists who obviously cannot read. 😠
I don't understand why the guard didn't say anything.
I would definitely wear a mask in such a crowd!
good afternoon john oh dear more idiots already not listening again also lovely horses at horse guards
Hi John I'm loving your humour and chat today . It's amazing that you know all the types of hats . I hope you get well soon. I so enjoy your videos they are priceless ❤
THE KINGS GUARDS ARE A JOKE THEY SHOULD BE FORCEFUL WITH THESE TOURIST WHO TREAT THE KING'S WAR HORSES AS PETTING ZOO ANIMALS ! THE HORSES ARE NOT PETTING ZOO ANIMALS ! SAD
Wow! You are extremely entertaining today! Love it…makes my day. Apparently the touristas are particularly amusing 😅 Thanks John! 😊
Fabulous video thank you John
OMG John! Thankfully I had finished my coffee before watching as your commentary has had me “losing” it this morning! Thank you,I needed the laughs.😂
Thanks
BIG thanks to you as always Charlie! ❤❤
Swap the sword for an electric cattle prod to stop horse harrassers?😅
The first horse that was alert in the box is beautiful, what a fabulous looking horse 🐎
Your “Rusty from Iowa” remark cracked me up. He did look like the Hollywood version of a truck driver. 👍
You can't cure stupid.
I think that the new sign should be on the other side and higher up above people's heads so that you can read it.
Greetings from Canada 🇨🇦
That is what people are saying. I don't like it at all.
@@John-G That actually isn't true, they are an official part of the British Army, I was just researching this.
@@rennaehanson9996that person is trying to start arguments. They have posted on several comments. It's ok to have a different opinion but he is insulting people. TROLL
@@kathyjones285 Agreed! Thank you for responding.
@rennaehanson9996 . John-G is correct , Lifeguards and Blues and Royals are the two regiments of The Household Cavalry .
Bubba Smith played Moses Hightower in Police Academy.
Absolutely infuriating.
I love your channel. I have no idea why I watch it for an hour every day, but I enjoy your comments and your outrage at the behavior of the tourists. Fascinating and sometimes infuriating.
When doing first aid training they advise ice for stings. Better than that is vinegar, but its not used because people may be allergic.
So much for on guard.
just heard shocking news 11 year old Australian girl stabbed in London by man arrested by police. thank God she is ok. my sympathies to my fellow 🇦🇺 Aussies. keep safe. 😮
Why is it that most of the Life Guards do not enforce the “Do Not Touch The Horse” Rule and the Blues and Royals do?
I would love to know what the guards were told about the new signs. And even better to be a fly in the wall when they found out no touching would be a possibility. Until they all equally enforce it I'll take it as not really rule just more of a suggestion. 🤷♀️. I'd love the know how they generally feel about it. Hope you feel better John. ❤
Hi John. Zanador (spelling). loves attention. He is a very sweet guy. He is interacting with the people so that’s why they touch him. He is a gelding from pictures I have. Great to get his name. I had him as unknown. 😊 Sometimes the horse is happier and not being yanked away with the reins 😊
Yes they shouldn’t be touching him like they are. I have to stop reading comments because I get a little annoyed at so many people criticizing the guards. It will never stop completely. I will just enjoy your video as usual.
I think it's frustrating for people because there are signs there. If petting the horse is going to be allowed maybe the signs should say ask before touching. IDK
@LynnL3588 Hi Lynn , I'm here to do the same watch the video and try not to get annoyed at some ( in some cases very rude ) comments about the Guards , it's disheartening . I've been trying to find the name of the Z horse I know it's in a previous video but not found it yet , if I remember it's a long name ! I'm sure someone will post it for us .😊. In the meantime , have a good evening and breathe positivity , there's enough negativity floating around the comment section 🤗
@@kathellison8084 Hi Kathy. I have Zutalore, Zambezi and Zanador. Do you have those? I have a few names missing from the life guards. John has had a hard time reading their hooves. Have a wonderful rest of your day 🌺
@LynnL3588 . I have Zenith , Zara Zandvoort, which is the one I was looking for ! Just names no descriptions apart from ZutAlore and the gorgeous big mare Zambezi from the other day . I'm really going to have to spend some time sorting out my lists with these new names to be added ! Keeps me off the streets and out of trouble I suppose 😂😂😂
@@kathellison8084 oh wow. I haven’t heard of those three names. How did you hear those names? Did I miss John saying them?
John- There is a reason that Bubba Smith had limited lines in Police Academy. Bubba Smith was a famous defensive end in the NFL. Like a few former players, he had small roles in various movies. None of them known for their acting prowess. They were, however, monsters on the football field.
Hello, John! Hot here in Texas, 104°🔥. Glad your weather has cooled. Have a great day.
Loved your comment on, "perhaps, eventually, they'll put up some sort of signage to not touch the horse. Hopefully."
That was great! Lol!😂
The horse loves the touchy feely of the tourists. It's so hard to resist because for many this is their first horse experience and for others, they are familiar with horses. One friendly horse, but there are some that are not.
Be well, John. Glad you're on the mend. Covid making a big comeback here. Sending out good thoughts. Love your running commentary about everything. Informative and funny.
GUARD'S, please enforce the rules
35 or less years ago I was told by an older German couple when my daughter was stung by a bee to put a cut onion on the sting
I always thought it was Vinegar.
Your commentary on naming the tourist gives me such a lift for the day. Especially Rusty and his Lady! Perfect name for him. Just hope his rig isn’t towed all the way back to Iowa. Have a great day. 😊😊😊😊😊😊
After the man who held the reins, there was a lady who asked if she could touch the horse, the Trooper nodded yes. So, if u want to touch make sure it's a lifeguard horse
My youngest many moons ago was stung on his face while in his pushchair, an old lady saw it happen and told me to run in the shop and buy a bottle of vinegar, i did as she said and low and behold the sting vanished almost immediately after i dabed it on.😮
John i think if the gaurds just said the word NO in a commanding voice all language's would understand
All the troupers need to be enforcing the do not touch the horse rule not just some of them.
Hi John: great to hear you’re feeling better. I had COVID two weeks ago, not pleasant at all. Hot toddy would be a good idea.
Here we go again. No enforcement of the sign. 😢
That 1st horse in the left box was absolutely handsome & you were right, very alert😁❤️🇨🇦
What a beautiful horse! Looks pretty big (I’m at 17 mins in).
Oh John, you are in fine form today😂. Your Barry white was flawless 😂. I am laying on the sofa sick as a dog.. you are bloody funny😂
The young man with the beard near the end around the 1hr mark that was touching the horse all over and grabbing at the reins appeared to be doing it on purpose simply to get a reaction from the Guard. Not just once but went back for seconds. He couldn't have been more obvious if he'd tried.
Look at that crowd of people
Hi John Tannys Tomasz here the medication used for restarting the heart is adrenaline. My sister's heart stops so she has to go into the hospital to have it stopped and than restarted. My family is pretty big 5 brothers and 2 sisters. Sadly one brother died 2 years ago and my sister one week ago.

I laughed all through this video, you were in good form even though you didn't feel well. I'm so sick of rude and ignorant tourists annoying the horses and the soldiers and the police. Take care and feel better soon.❤ from Queensland Australia
CCJ on the police vehicle 😂, very funny 🤣.
10:48 who is this beauty what a magnificent alert horse.
Question John: How many Tourons can you squished into the Tilt Yard? Whats the record for Squishing the Tourons. You can't count the police or troopers inside the yard.
Hey John. What you need to do is the next time someone touches the horse, politely ask them if they could please translate the sign for you, then loudly say, "oh, so we are NOT allowed to touch the horse... thank you."
@London City Walks John, I hope you are feeling better! Your comments are hilarious as usual. Sounds like you need better security in your building! 😂
I am really disappointed in these guards....It is partly their fault for not telling them to DONT TOUCH. One of the guards even shook his head yes when a lady ask if she could touch the horse...... Its not right that they are not holding to the rules themselves.
Totally agree
I am starting to think that the troopers have been told to not to say anything.
Even after the police officer told them not to touch some stupid woman went straight up and did just that. I love your videos but this has sent my stress levels right up. I am not surprised you mentioned turning the camera off.
Let’s hope things improve very soon.
