2022....I'm crying and sad because so many memories are connected to GM through this song. GM remains magical and an integral part of my life. His passing affected me deeply , that such a beautiful Earth Angel chose to return home but left us with not only the most beautiful healing songs but also songs for every event in our lives . GM always triggers so many emotions for me but mostly I remember the day he passed and I was determined to pay my absolute respect at his home in Highgate. I was overwhelmed with sadness and disbelief! I needed to place my pain and tears somewhere. I stared for long periods at the large windows and felt he was there watching the many many people who genuinely wanted to say farewell and place their sadness and pain somewhere meaningful too, but more importantly, letting GM know HOW MUCH HE MEANT TO SO MANY , Even though he may not have known the true depth. I can't listen to this tune without crying and I'm not a George Michael but his lyrics oh wow. He had that unique gift of putting himself into the old fashioned Christmas's we all knew of and were told of as innocent children and he translates that to us still when we're adults. I wasn't a George Michael fan. Then he toured and my sister (who is an ABSOLUTE fan) wanted to go and I found myself not only camping out to buy tickets but getting one for myself. We went to see him together and he was simply outstanding. Been a fan since. There is nobody like him I and miss him.

I ran across one of his books and read it It was eye-opening Basically, it broke my in a kind of sunny way. In one, I was in awe of his raw talent and the other in his perfection. He worked so hard for so long for his art, which it truly was. May he rest in peace and know he was loved

I really hope this song gains more and more popularity over the years as it is a perfect Christmas song, all warm and fuzzy, yet poignant and thought provoking, in some ways it sounds as though it's been around since forever but it's only about 6 years old. I love it.

Watching videos of people enjoying being together can be difficult for some, but never forget God loves you so you're never really alone. I remember Christmas when I was young with all the excitement of recieving gifts and how it changed to reflecting on what is really important: the meaning of Christmas and the feeling we have for each other at this time of year. I was at the Freddie Mercury concert in 1992. I did not dislike George Michael but was rather indifferent to him. However, among all the artists who performed that day, George Michael was far and away the best singer. Utterly superb. I have since bought a lot of his material. To me, 1990's 'Listen Without Prejudice' is a masterpiece. He seemed like a lovely man.

This song always gets me because it reminds me so much of my childhood, the wonder about Christmas, it was so special and as a kid I had no clue my mum tried so hard to make do, our granny helped, but now I understand how tough times have been but they never let my brother and me feel it. I often think about all the years back then we've celebrated Christmas together as the small family we've been and for us as kids it was humble and carefree and magical.

I was at the Freddie Mercury concert in 1992. I did not dislike George Michael but was rather indifferent to him. However, among all the artists who performed that day, George Michael was far and away the best singer. Utterly superb. I have since bought a lot of his material. To me, 1990's 'Listen Without Prejudice' is a masterpiece. He seemed like a lovely man.

This song always gets me because it reminds me so much of my childhood, the wonder about Christmas, it was so special and as a kid I had no clue my mum tried so hard to make do, our granny helped, but now I understand how tough times have been but they never let my brother and me feel it. I often think about all the years back then we've celebrated Christmas together as the small family we've been and for us as kids it was humble and carefree and magical.
Decemeber 25, 2019 will be the 3rd anniversary of George Micheal's passing.
