My dad was first a locomotive engineer with L&N, then L&N/SCL, then Seaboard System and finally retired with CSX after 34 years on the job. He marked off sick 3 days in his career.
Super close-up view, Dave...the artists have been busy, painting all the freight cars...the CSX train leaves, and silence returns to Dawson, PA.

Been in Dawson several times. I didn't realize that the track needed so much work there. Seems the lead unit was bobbing and swaying. Oh well, thanks for posting.

Hello B&O! Hope you dont mind me calling you that. Hence the short version for that railroad. Have you thought about doing CSX Mountain Sub between Cumberland Maryland and Grafton West Virginia. Seeing trains climb Newburg, Cheat River the famous Cranberry Grade against Eastbound Drags and 17 Mile Grade? Of course trains traveling across The Glades?

It never ceases to amaze me just how cheap CSX is, concerning heritage units! NS set the standard that all us railfans still enjoy, but CSX sucks. Yea, I know they have a few schemes for police, fire, etc. But it would truly be amazing if they ever copied the NS playbook to honor their predicessors!
