Who else was waiting 6 1/2 days for this video?. I am so happy to this move taking place. After a lot of preparation. I think no one will quip at a 2 or 4 hour extended video of the move. Were all here for you, no matter where we are in the world. Thanks Danial and team. ))
Daniel. The government changed the rules with the DNO. They no longer can charge the end user for substation upgrades. I do a lot of new mains supplies and applications and since the change we have no longer had to foot the bill for sub upgrades.
@ooooops-py2jw the last one I did out in Oxford. SSE upgraded the pole. The customer just paid for a single phase to a 3 phase supply. We also use external contractors in some cases and go down the IDNO route can sometimes be cheaper than the DNO themselves.
Consider installing a traffic light system on the weighbridge, along with a touchscreen for automation. This would allow users to tap the screen to automatically print a ticket. Incorporating an ANPR solution could track vehicle movements, and the collected data could optimize machine operations. Additionally, the weighbridge could be made taller, complemented by a catwalk system if necessary so that they can walk down to either end depending on trucks etc. @thisisashville
@@GOVERNMENTNAME-ry8xs ANPR means you can only retrieve your own ticket when punching in and out. So attempts to beat the system would be caught on camera and the exit boom goes up on successful completion of workflow
Daniel, I wanted to let you know that I've been watching your videos for a while now and it's been inspirational and has gotten me in gear my own aspirations. Thank you Sir!
I was in England during this week with my family driving from Ireland and as we were coming home around the m25 heading for Wales it was nice to see a Ashville Scania on the road Nice.
I had a manager who was also the owner, who treated me the same way, like a brotherhood, always asked how we were, always got us cold drinks on hot days, and went above and beyond to make sure we were okay, to this day he was and still is the best manager I have ever had
You’ve probably already thought of this, but a suggestion for the weigh bridge is a simple red/green traffic light system to let drivers know when to leave and come on the bridge. It is used a lot on weigh bridges in Australia.
I agree with this idea there's a weighbridge for a waste transfer site on the estate where I work. Drivers 'stop short' entering the site to speak to staff then move onto the weighbridge fully and wait for the green light. I'm not sure if upon leaving they use traffic lights but the office is in line with the drivers cabs.
Daniel during my last eye test (Boots) I was told that my eyes have started to have Cataracts and that I will need to ware my Sunglasses more. I feel I need to tell people I meet while out walking my pet Beagle (Paul) why I’m wearing my sunglasses, but do you know what, they are my eyes and I will protect my vision anyway I have been advised by the experts. 1 Go for an eye test 2 Wear your sunglasses (just like a Rock Star does) Take care of your eyes bud. Peace out 🕊️
My first comment ive made, This has got to be one of the best ash vile weekly videos I've watched so far, I watch every Sunday and look forward to it! Can't wait to see the full video of the move to the new yard, really enjoyed the longer episode can they all be this long 😄 and maybe put out earlier am so I can watch before my kids get up and demand the TV 😂, I can't imagine the pressure and stress Daniel is under atm! All be worth it in the end 💪
This is going to be a great 2 year journey of building up the new yard and it's well worth it💯. You've put together a great team that's loyal, dedicated and trustworthy. Onwards and upwards to the Ashville team 💯💯💯
Dan, with the weighbridge, a COMMON theme I see is a traffic light system in place, no need for noisy tannoy system when a red and green light can do the same thing.
I think we've all been looking forward to the yard move. Loving the 55 x minute episode Dan. I predict you'll hit a Million Subscribers by the end of 2024. Sending you good vibes & positive energy from Australia 🦘
Love these vids had a crap 2 years and these have really helped me keep up the fight. The Honest day today including the many downs to running a buisness albeit mine was nowhere near this scale are uplifting in that I see I’m not the only one going through stuff. The blow and downfall was hard to take and for sure had me throwing in the towel in more ways than one until strangely watching TH-cam videos encouraged me to push on and keep going. Appreciate these vids and im in awe at what you have achieved. True inspiration.
What an amazing idea it was to make a separate video on the big move from the old yard to the new yard as some people like to see more in-depth of how much work is put into moving heavy equipment and like the longer videos great idea and can’t wait to see that separate video keep up the amazing work and can’t wait to see the New Year change over the coming years 50:26
It's a monumental achievement what you have all achieved with the move. It's no easy feat to move an operational business. It's hard work with lots of unseen setbacks. Looking forward to the indepth video.
Was watching another channel this week which is only starting out but which has improved greatly over the last few weeks. One contributor said that these newer episodes were " Ashville standard" So your channel is seen as a benchmark. Well done 👏 👏 🎉 👏
Never a dull moment when watching the goings on at Ashville I thought moving house was stressful I'm never gonna complain about doing that again moving yard is Mega Stressful Dan's gonna need a spa day by the end of it all.
Wow after all these years of seeing the old yard being build up and modified , its sad to see it being dismantled , but we will see the birth of a new yard . you can see the stress in Danial face with this move , the stress must be massive . well done all
Just hope it all works out for you all. You have some very loyal, hardworking staff working for Ashville. Very lucky. Well done all. Nice to see first train offload. 👍🏻
The yard move such a huge undertaking. Definitely looking forward to the standalone yard move video. You've got a brilliant team around you making the move happen.
Very challenging but it WILL be worth it. Get an eye test and just keep thinking of that LONG lease! That gives enough time to make that serious money back. Looking forward to the tour when all done 😉💚
Daniel, kudos to your team. I'd have loved to have been there and been the project manager no one asked for! Can't wait to see how the new yard starts to come together.
Amazing truly amazing I have watched Ashvile from the start and my admiration for Daniel has always been top shelf but after watching the yard move a truly fabulous wonderfully inspiring person and the whole ashville team wow just wow
From the very first episode to now you’ve done amazing one day you will look back and think wow look what I’ve achieved we all see the greatness in you keep up the hard work Ashville to the world
21:14 The substation doesn’t convert the kVAs into kWs. It steps down the Voltage from 10kV to 415/240V. kVA is just the mesurement for apparent power,kW the measure for effective power. The difference in measuring just stems from the fact, that the service provider has to account for apparent power, were as the customer could only charged the effective power.
Some MOT testers will fail for small cuts in treads. Have a set of MOT rims sat there with new tires on. Put them on for MOT then put the normal running tires on once it passes.
Can certainly relate to the cashflow crunch when you have a high spends when going though a big project. Well done on the move, will be worth all the stress in the long run.
Daniel, maybe look to acquire a mobile container Reach Stacker. To move your containers around the new yard. Would also enable the yard to become a rail container logistics node.
Cant help but think a good deep clean of everything in the new yard would look amazing, concrete silo, hoppers etc, maybe new lick of paint on the containers 👍
Thanks for the promise of the indepth version... its a homage to all of the teamwork to get this epic 2 days of moving... Great stuff... which out for those telecom cables
I can't wait to see what you do with the offices and the media center. You should create another channel for those builds alone. Studio and DIY setups are huge right now on TH-cam. I get so many ideas for a setup that I want to build from those videos and channels!
Hello Daniel, One and All. Appreciate the extra length episode and liked the music, as always; I look forward to the standalone(s). All professionals, Associates and Ashville teams involved in Yard moves did and will continue I’m sure, marvellous work. I’m emotional seeing the Yard move, being on the journey since the start, and feel your intensity for what you are achieving. Respect to you. You are so inspirational-I can’t say it often enough. Hoping you were able to get some rest and slept well after all that. Have a good week ahead Daniel, All. 🤗❤
My company moved 2 years ago maybe 2 miles and we thought it would be easy but it’s not that’s part of moving we made it and with a company like yours and the team i see nothing but success from Atlanta ga
Love watching Ashville. Why you may ask? Because I've learnt more about construction and concrete just by watching Ashville. You can tell Daniel works super hard on these. Daniel and his team are absolute grafters! 👷🏗

Daniel and the Ashville team I look forward to all the great Ashville and Daniel video's. Next moving is never an easy task your doing the best and still have your excellent work activities completed. Keep up the great work
Absolutely nobody can question your work ethic! But at the end of the video when you were saying you couldn’t keep your eyes open, you could literally see it! you’ve got to be so careful not to burn yourself out, especially where you work you’ve got to be on higher alert all the time (for safety reasons). I appreciate you are behind schedule and there is always something to be done, but I do strongly believe Sunday should be to recover.
Excellent video. While your eye problem may be stress and tiredness I would find a little time for an opticians appointment. I had this problem twenty plus years ago and I was straining my eyes and not realising it. Hands on boss 💪 very good that you are not afraid to muck in.
With the video guys needing to access files, you can set up secure remote desktops which allow them to control the computers on site with their home computers so they can work from home but still be able to access all of the files on the drives in the yard
You can see why nobody watches traditional TV anymore this is far more entertaining & well put together 👍👌
actually ...you are right ! now you raise this point , the TV stations are not in tune with todays audience
And once I’ve finished watching the episode I want more content. If only there was more than one episode a week😢
@@mrav6101 Good news, he does a midweek episode too. He normally focuses on a specific topic for the midweek ones. Enjoy 😊
I haven’t watch TV for a good few years now…

As an ex Site Manager on £20 million contracts..Dan the amount of pressure you must be under is truly inspiring in the way you handle it 👏👏👏respect.

My Sunday is never complete without Ashville Weekly!!

Me too lol. I work Sunday as Hgv driver and I wait until it comes on and then listen to it on my journey. It’s routine now on a Sunday
Yeah. Waiting for this.
Daniel. The government changed the rules with the DNO. They no longer can charge the end user for substation upgrades. I do a lot of new mains supplies and applications and since the change we have no longer had to foot the bill for sub upgrades.
Does that include pole mounted transformers? Thanks

Thank you for sharing your story @thisisashville and good luck on your new journey with new yard
Much appreciated!
No need for Netflix when you have Ashville.
