Back in the day I was a gamer in a multi-national online group. It had leaders, class officers etc. They made a one off class called "Enforcer" for me where anyone that needed brought down a peg or two, or kicked out, the person was sent into a online voice lobby with me and I would abuse them like these dudes do. Retired undefeated!

The thing is with Scottish patter, you can use anything for an insult, but it has to hit right, us Scots just know instinctually if its good patter or not because there is absaloutely no logic to it.
I gave up online gaming around 2007-ish and i'd been doing it since 1998 using my "super fast 56k modem" when I started! lol
I can give as good as I get with regards to insults, but gradually as the internet became more prevalent there were far too many squeakers (little kids) saying random stuff like, 'I'm going to r*pe you mum' etc. They shouldn't be talking like that, plus they shouldn't be playing games rated 15 or 18, and it's a bit icky if you have to respond to such things when you know they're probably about eight years old! Even something really simple like, 'Go f*ck yourself and git gud', you can't (or shouldn't) really be saying it to a random child even if they obviously have shitty parents.
That's how Scottish folks talk to their friends. The 'C word' is a term of endearment here. My pals are all C words and so am I

I grew up neer Glasgow, so i have a diffrent acsent but i speek Scots and i f & C all the time. Its just normal its not being harsh its just exclamation. At school if on a trip and on a bus we sing a great song about "you can'te through your granny of a bus" yep no respect.

As a Gen X Scotsman this video makes me feel so sad. Insults used to be intelligent and actually make sense. The younger generation just shouts random words that make no sense. Like "surfboard" or "centipede". How are those insults? It's as if the younger generation has no brains anymore. The only joke that made sense here and was even remotely funny was the Bear Grylls joke. Sad times.
The whole point of the video was because the insults were so out there and non-sensical. Nice to see Gen X still can't grasp humour though 😂 Went right over your head
