    The overlooked Saucony Shift 3 is worth a shout. I use only for easy/steady runs up to 4min/km and it makes those paces feel comfortable. I've taken it past 800km and it still looks and feels new, which I can't say for any of my other running shoes.

    It would be great if you did a video of best shoes for running on wet roads. You know how you mentioned that the Puma one has good grip for wetter roads? Whenever I look for grippy shoes, all recommendations are for trail shoes. But what would work on the usual pavement but when it is slippery. I run much slower if at all and with bad form whenever it rains because I always feel that I am slipping. Other people breeze by but something about my joints or how my foot lands makes it that I slip a lot even on simple walks

    Honestly, I've tried nearly all of the prior and current version of these supercushioned shoes in search of something that would help me run despite my ankle arthritis - and the Nike Alphafly blows them all out of the water. The airpods in front make a huge difference - and you get the benefits from a super fast shoe as well that is WAYYY faster than any of these cushioned shoes. I originally used Alphaflys due to speed, but having recently switched over to all-Alphafly all the time, I'm shocked when I do a run in my prior cushioned shoes - even Hoka Bondis feel less cushioned than the Alphaflys, especially at faster speeds

    Frankly i dont understand most of the lingo used in these types of videos. Whats does versatility mean vs stability? For an average person who spends most of their time running on streets and treadmills, are there really 12+ shoes this many options that are serious contenders?
    I feel like im struggling to find an mkbhd of running shoes who will say which target market is best served by which product

    • @aliasgharkhoyee9501
      @aliasgharkhoyee9501 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Versatility: can be used for a wider variety of run types, such as slow/easy/long distance, fast intervals (max speed), tempo runs (25% short of your max heart rate).
      Stability: shoes with higher stacks i.e. more than average cushioning are not as stable due to the extra height. In order to improve safety & comfort (like avoid falling when you turn, if run isn't in a straight line), some manufacturers build a wider platform (extra cushion/outsole) near the bottom of the shoe - at both sides, left and right. This keeps you from slipping when wearing higher shoes and feeling unstable especially when in non-ideal conditions, it's similar to the feeling you get when wearing stilts.

    Any thoughts on the ASICS Novablast 3 LE? I wore a pair of Novablast for my first marathon, but the light mesh of the LE is intriguing from a cooling point of view. But at the same time worried it might be a bit less solid?

      If you like how the Novablast feels, it’s probably best to save money and forgo the Superblast. However, if you want more comfort the Superblast is definitely a step up since the midsole is mostly the same FFTurbo foam found in their racing super shoes.

    Small people less than 185lbs should look at ASICS Gel Nimbus 25
    Full size people 190+lbs Brooks Glycerin 20. Brooks is way better for men Asics are really good for women most Men are larger the gel Nimbus lacks tbe support for heavier people and we jjst collapse that soft foam like nothing. The Brooks are more heavy-duty suspension for heavy-duty humans. Kind of like how a Honda Civic needs completely different suspension than a Ford F-150 the same foam will not perform the same for much heavier people you're going to need a different brand and Brooks is better for bigger people because their foam has more support and is not so squishy and easy to bottom out.
