    An interesting thing about Raunds it that it's in a meteorological hot (or sometimes cold) spot. It has the record for the most hottest days of the year spread over the last 100 years and the third most coldest days of the year spread over the last 100 years in England.

      I can attest to that, Raunds is the British tropics. It's also a great town to live in.

    Lived in Raunds in the 1980s. I crossed that crossing many times on my way to school. It was know as the smallest even then.

    Well done Jon :-) you must be the only and I mean ONLY person on TH-cam to visit Raunds about a motoring related show and made not a single reference to the only reason the Internet knew about Raunds until you made this film..... I mean the road...... you know the one..... you don't!? I mean I could be risking my dump account getting a ban so I will speel it phonetically.... tango Indian tango tango Yankee hotel Oscar Lane.....
    In fact as a early fan and one that ironicly watched nearly ALL your fascinating and genuinely entertaining content yet somehow relied solely on TH-cam analytics to view your videos as I hadn't subscribed until now! :-D now rectified! :-D lol but maybe do a series on the rude and interesting street names??

  • @Reddsoldier
    @Reddsoldier ปีที่แล้ว

    I think one not too far away from me is smaller, although it tapers a bit so I think although the narrower end is narrower, the wider end is definitely wider if that makes any sense. It's the zebra crossing by the Church in Billericay High Street, Essex. Similar 1 way narrow lane zebra crossing.

    • @DonForceFeedback
      @DonForceFeedback 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Counting the bricks its around 35 bricks wide, and the standardized width of bricks is 102.5mm, bringing the width to 3.588m at that narrow part. The Raunds one as he said was just under 3.5m. Then again this is just speculation and could do with someone measuring it physically.

      @Locutus 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You do indeed mark some of them with lights. Usually, they are 2 combined overhead overhead flashing lights, alternating on off. Some crossings have alternating light signals on a sign at each end of the crossing. Sometimes these are pedestrian controlled, sometimes they are always on.

    Well done in showing up the brainless stupidity of road planners in the councils across England. Unneeded traffic lights are the worst offenders. How often have you wasted time at a red light when it is perfectly PERFECTLY safe to proceed?
