- The last government left an asylum system in “meltdown”, campaigners claimed as figures showed the backlog had started to creep back up after dropping by almost a third.
Home Office figures show a total of 118,882 people were waiting for an initial decision on an asylum application in the UK at the end of June 2024, down by 32% from 175,457 at the end of June 2023, which was the highest figure since current records began in 2010.

Just found out today the primary school my granddaughter attends has a total of 4 Muslim children but all the school has to start eating halal meat how is that democratic or fair the majority lose out to the minority.

get your facts right talktv, £4.2m per day at @ £100 per person (assume thats all associated costs, staff, doctors visits, spending money, clothes....) is enough for 42,000 people, there are more than that taking from the tax payer, i say this as they will never have paid uk tax.

a few months ago it was 8 million a day on hotels, the fact that the figure has lowered doesn't mean the taxpayer pays less to contribute towards illegal migrants, it just means those migrants have probably been moved from hotels to social housing at the cost of the taxpayer.
