- It's an average summer day on the Strasburg Rail Road, their former Norfolk & Western "M" Class 4-8-0 is the power for the trips to Leaman Place today with the LIRR #39's 3 chime whistle. We also get a glimpse at Amtrak's Keystone Service, an eastbound commuter with the cab car leading doing track speed through Leaman Place. We finish the day seeing SRR's Wine & Cheese train chug up the grade at Cherry Hill as the sun sets in Lancaster Amish country. Eli Wilson 2014
Should probably put PRR K4 #1361's 3-chime passenger whistle on GW 90! It worked for NKP 765 in 2012 and it could work for 90 too!
That whistle is definentely an Ashton whistle based on that sound quality.
Yes, indeed! But I think another whistle like PRR K-4 #1361's 3 Chime would sound awesome on 90 too then they would have both PRR 3 Chimes together! Maybe loan onto 90 for the caretakers of 1361!
Exactly get #39's other sister #1361.
Yeah, we love to see that happen one day!
Erich Diebold And let's not forget about bringing 4483 back to life too.
LIRR 39: I’ll be back!
Fantastic video man fantastic job
Might be an Altoona or Ashton Valve whistle since PRR, LIRR, New Haven, Boston and Albany and Boston and Maine used Ashton Valve.
That whistle exactly sounds like Mt. Rainier Scenic #5.
And it sounds like R&N ex-BM&R #425 too.
As well as 1361
