Ive had the 7801 since they first went on the market - 1/2006 or 07. Lately been using a Wick 5N and Shilkey 31. The tone i am getting out of the 31 sounds similar to yours but i qm not fond of the wide rim. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I enjoy your horn videos
Cool stuff. You might’ve seen my comment below, I use a Houser SF cup. Seems to work well across-the-board with all the instruments I play. Love the warm tone.
@peterwhitehead2858 I played a Schilke for a long time. When I switched to the Houser (after trying lots of pieces out) I found that it was much easier to play horn in general!

I am getting a similar warm tone using my Schilke 31 but it's a bit of a bugger in the high register.

What mouthpiece did you use with it in this play test?
My Houser SF 14-0-2 with a Houghton H1 rim.
