I had problems with rr racing tuned before but Rafi help me out I send him my data logs and he send me a few tune files and I one of those tune work really well, I manage to get my best 1/8 of a mile a 7.98 at 93 mph and still more to improve I was on the rev limiter for to long.

The main advantage of Loi's tune is that it also locked the converter to 7200 rpm so there is no flare at the top of gear changes. He also tunes to my mods and fuel.
I asked RR for help and all they did was send me a link to the help page.

@@SouthernCrossMotors locking the converter up to 7200 rmp is great, you have to Directly contact Rafi threw Facebook, loi trans is great since you only deal with him but he tune still cant take off the check engine light cause of no catalytic converter, if you have aftermarket headers, you would need an o2 Sim or spacers, but I don't know if he fix that Since he doesn't talk to me cause he block me. And rr racing tune suck with 91 octane, e30 is the best result I gotten with rr racing tune.

@@fbeastmode LOL that sucks so both Tuners dont have a complete tune without bugs and issues?

@@rmpwnnpwnn1850 sadly yea, I don't understand why one could do it and the other can't I'm perry sure they're a solution to this, but for the most part ppl custom tune them with what ever software is available,

@@fbeastmode Could i just run stock ISF with headers and be good as long as i have the O2 sim/extenders since i assume ECU would calibrate it itself?

    Hey mate,
Speak to Simon from RR, he helped me a fair bit, Rafi got involved in the end, I sent them my fuel trims (long and short) a few times and they sent me a number of tuned finally one really worked
No more CEL 1 month now

I have solved the CEL (O2 sensor extender issue) I want to try the Loi tune mainly to see how that goes. I have nothing against RR.

    Hi there, love your channel.
I'm about to buy the RR intake/headers/OBD2 ECU tuner (Will not take the OBD2 tuner and save 450$)
I'm wondering since I saw pretty much all your video, you had more result with RR product without a tune so. is it best to just buy the elbow and the aFE filter. Or I can use the full RR intake they provide without the tune and maybe it's best without the 87mm MAF ?
Just trying to figure out my option there.
Big fan by the way, you share alot of good information for us IS-F owners.

Hi. The best basic thing to do is headers (PPE), a true dual exhaust like I had and keep you rear stock mufflers, and a fry drop in air filter.
You can not install the larger intake without a tune as the MAF diameter is different and will lean the car out.
Headers and exhaust will net 50hp+ at the wheels over stock with the factory tune. You will need new cats just behind the header join to stop the CEL.

If your having CEL issues for primary o2 sensor, what does that have to do with our tune, and why would you continue to drive the ISF that way let alone drag race it? Also, what is your name, I’m ver interested to have a look at your correspondence with us, thank you!

I am sorry if I came across so negative. I have nothing against RR, as I have spent a lot with you with this car and my IS350. I am frustrated with things this end and maybe that bubbled over.....

    What is the O2 code?

    • @SouthernCrossMotors
      @SouthernCrossMotors  2 ปีที่แล้ว

P0171. In my case it is a very intermittent faulty oxygen sensor (bank 1, sensor 1)
Ordered a new O2 sensor. Should be here in a week or two...

Lean condition. Unmetered air entering the system. A few thoughts, the MRP MAF is 82.55mm ID and the RR tube is 85mm ID, it could simply need a new scaling of the MAF in the tune. Check for vacuum leaks/ dry cracked hoses etc. it’s unlikely but an exhaust leak could also trigger that code. My guess is it’s the MAF size though, you could put the RR tube back in to see if clears up. I personally bought a screen from MRP and put it snugly in the RR tube

@@supra9301 I am waiting for Loi to email my custom tune. It may be the MAF tube size.....will find out in a day or so. I still ordered a new O2 sensor just incase
