This show is so much more appealing than the big studio's version. It feels 100x more authentic and the charisma Mike has shines through way more. I'm so glad you decided to take the reigns and did it yourself. I missed this show from when I was a kid and I'm really glad to see it's back.
Why would you say that it's not authentic? Especially Mike Rowe? I've watched Rowe for years an it's his authenticity that keeps me coming back for more. He seems to be a seriously down to earth dude and I'd be genuinely honored to sit down and have a beer or a cup of coffee with him. ✌🏼

I really can't thank others enough who volunteer to clean up the messes of others and make the world a better place. Our kids should be shown just how detrimental the effects of pollution and waste are and how incredible it can feel to make a difference in cleaning up one's community.

With all the hodgepodge and negativity of videos, I believe the world needs more content like yours. I love to see people with a passion to clean up what people seem incapable of not polluting. It reminds me of some guys that I watch on TH-cam that started out just pulling vehicles out of the river near them. 'Adventures with Purpose' have now become so much more, and I don't think they get enough credit for the stuff they do. I don't know them but I've seen them work, and what they do is amazing.
I'm watching this with my favorite dog who I have to go put down in about an hour. Oddly, she likes listening to Mike talk and this time is no different. Thanks for everything you do Mike and the crew.

I met Chad many years ago (I think around 2004) when a friend's band, Johnny Russler and the Beach Bum Band, played in Keokuk, IA. Later that Summer one of my best friends, her son and I volunteered when Chad came to the Illinois River. We cleaned up Plum Island because it was becoming an eagle sanctuary instead of million dollars homes. I love seeing what he's been up to and that someone like Mike Rowe has brought Chad's story and his life mission to the public once again. Keep up the great work!❤

It infuriates me 90% of the population litters and doesn't think twice how much impact really happens and how it's comes full circle for EVERYONE! Wish we had more folks like this in our communities.
Up until about 9 months ago I lived along the Ohio River. I loved being close to the water and loved kayaking up and down the river. The amount of trash is disheartening. Always made it a pledge each spring/early summer to clean up at least 2 bags. I know its not enough but if everyone on the river did this.... Whats a shame is a lot of that stuff could have been sent to a scrap yard for a few bucks.
Thank you Living Lands and Waters for everything that you do! I'd love to do something like this, magnet fishing would help as well. Idk why there isn't something like this nationwide..... I mean we have street sweepers, why not water/ shore sweepers! 🤔

I clean the corner where I live every week. Every week people dump more trash. The neighbors ask why I keep doing it if they just dump more. I tell them if we let it go we will soon live in a dumpster. I slowly have been getting neighbors to help.
2:54 I see that bridge (well half of it) everyday where i work in Cedar Rapids, IA. I always assumed the half that was knocked down by the floating houses, etc. during the flood was buried in Mt. Trashmore (it's a real name. huge mound in South east Cedar Rapids), that is right next that bridge. Nice that you salvaged that and reused it. :)
What a role model Chad is! 👍 We should all pitch in however we can - the flooding is only going to increase, and although it's a nice thought to keep straws and plastic bags out of the ocean - every day plastic items are getting flooded on down streams, into rivers and eventually out into the ocean. Please invite Jesus into your heart as Lord and Savior, becoming (Born-Again) through His Holy Spirit and you will be saved if you really mean it. Again, if you really mean this, your life will be changed and it will be obvious to your friends, family and others (Born-Again-Christians) that Jesus has entered into your heart, because you won’t be able to stop talking about Him, sharing with others this new-found truth, peace and joy. They walk you through so many beautiful truths in your precious Bible and will not lead you astray. Also look up (Christ in Prophecy). This ministry is dedicated to keeping us informed about current events that are occurring in real time that point to the return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Again though, If there is no noticeable change, (I.E. A hunger to start reading the Bible, going to a Bible believing and teaching Church, overwhelming desire to share Jesus with others, etc) you probably weren't sincere and didn’t really become (Born-Again). Like there will be moments, where its scripted, but then there moments where they are showing him something, and it goes better than expected. I clean the corner where I live every week. Every week people dump more trash. The neighbors ask why I keep doing it if they just dump more. I tell them if we let it go we will soon live in a dumpster. I slowly have been getting neighbors to help.
2:54 I see that bridge (well half of it) everyday where i work in Cedar Rapids, IA. I always assumed the half that was knocked down by the floating houses, etc. during the flood was buried in Mt. Trashmore (it's a real name. huge mound in South east Cedar Rapids), that is right next that bridge. Nice that you salvaged that and reused it. :)
What a role model Chad is! 👍 We should all pitch in however we can - the flooding is only going to increase, and although it's a nice thought to keep straws and plastic bags out of the ocean - every day plastic items are getting flooded on down streams, into rivers and eventually out into the ocean. Jesus said, concerning the (last days), “You will hear of wars and rumors of wars (Russia against Ukraine, Turkey against Syria and China threatening to invade Taiwan and might be close to going to war with India). See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines, pestilences and earthquakes in various places”. My dear brothers and sisters in Christ (Born-Again), please repent and return to the Lord if you are (caught-up in sin). Remember, sin will take you farther than you want to go, keep you longer than you want to stay and cost more than you are willing to pay. Also, all others who are not (Born-Again), come to the Lord Jesus for the first time. His arms are wide open for you. He loves you. Please folks, read your Bible. The True and Living God of the Bible told us 2,000 + years ago that Israel would be ‘reborn’ in the “last days”. God tells us that He will gather His people (Jews) from all the nations in the world where they had been scattered and bring them back into their original homeland, Israel. This happened on May 14, 1948 and also He predicted that Jerusalem would finally be in the complete control of the Jews. This happened during the 6 day war in 1967. God also tells us that when Israel becomes a nation again, that Jerusalem would become the center of severe controversy (a burdensome stone) to all nations and yes we are surely living in that time today. Also, the Bible predicted the following; strange weather patterns, lawlessness. Jesus said in Matthew 24 v 12
LAWLESSNESS WILL ABOUND and the love of many will grow cold. People will be lovers of one’s self, unforgiving and no natural affection toward others, etc. All these things will happen just before the return of His (God's) precious Son Jesus. Please, once again, read the Bible and before doing so, sincerely ask God to reveal Himself to you as you read. Please start reading in the Gospel of John because John specifically wrote this Gospel so that you may know that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God and that by truly believing in Him and inviting Him into your heart, you will be saved and granted eternal life in Heaven. Please invite Jesus into your heart as Lord and Savior, becoming (Born-Again) through His Holy Spirit and you will be saved if you really mean it. Again, if you really mean this, your life will be changed and it will be obvious to your friends, family and others (Born-Again-Christians) that Jesus has entered into your heart, because you won’t be able to stop talking about Him, sharing with others this new-found truth, peace and joy. Jesus will give you the strength to TURN from your sin (Repent) and follow Him. (I recommend that you go to TH-cam and search for either or all of these Pastors). Chuck Smith, Amir Tsarfati, Mike Winger, Charles Stanley or Pastor Jimmy Evans (END TIMES). Also if you are a Catholic, please search Mike Gendron as he is an authority on Catholic teachings and explains the teachings of the Catholic Church as he compares them to the Bible. All of the aforementioned are great teachers/Preachers of the Bible and you will not be (led astray) by their teachings. Also in TH-cam, search for Ray Comfort or Joe Kirby as God has given Ray and Joe a beautiful way of explaining why we all need Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as well as Tree of Life Ministries as they have the most beautiful testimonies of people finding redemption in Jesus Christ. Also, please look up Jonathan Cahn. He is another (gifted) servant of God and can really explain what is going on in these (last days). Jonathan has written several great books about the end times. (The Harbinger and several others). One more beautiful site on (TH-cam) is (Impact Video Ministries). They walk you through so many beautiful truths in your precious Bible and will not lead you astray. Also look up (Christ in Prophecy). This ministry is dedicated to keeping us informed about current events that are occurring in real time that point to the return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Again though, If there is no noticeable change, (I.E. A hunger to start reading the Bible, going to a Bible believing and teaching Church, overwhelming desire to share Jesus with others, etc) you probably weren't sincere and didn’t really become (Born-Again). Mike Rowe has these moments that seem more than what is currently given to him at that given moment. Like there will be moments, where its scripted, but then there moments where they are showing him something, and it goes better than expected. I guess what im saying is, there are moments where Mike is genuinely enjoying himself regardless if its a show or not.
