Beautiful ! This video make me realize how much I miss the old Elena, the girl who was always trying to save everyone, who always gave a second chance to everyone. Caroline is right, she's gone.
When Elena was with Stefan she was her own self, she cared alot for Stefan but also knew the quality of an innocent person's life, with Damon it's like she obeys him ! All the characters try to show Elena what kind of person Damon is, but she refuses to listen, understand and is too blinded by what they call 'her love for him'. I know Damon went through very rough times, deep down he cares but tbh he's a terrible person. You love your brother you wouldn't get close with his gf in the first place. What led to Delena love was Elena's attraction to Damon because he was always getting up close to her ! Sometimes I read comments by Delena shippers about how their love was always there from the start and Elena realised her attraction later on and then it started developing and sometimes I lose hope of seeing Stelena again. But then I see and remember how pure, passionate, epic (and soo many other words ) Stelena's love was and I get that hope again. And I will keep that hope till the end cuz Stelena is my OTP
OH MY GOD!!!!! THAT WAS FREAKING AMAZING!!!! Thank you thank you thank you! You are a genius. I loved everything - you nailed it. I LOVE that you showed Elena saving Damon, as a helpless human, with the power of her compassion and then as a vampire, just kills recklessly - like Damon. That whole Rose "question her life/beliefs" statement - all the DErs think that's a GOOD thing - but it's not. Elena's beliefs as a human were not only right they were honorable. Elena saying "Damon gets whatever he wants no matter who he hurts" then paralleling Elena's 5x07 speech to Stefan - I really believe that's one of the most powerful moments in the vid. It shows how far Elena has fallen. I loved when Elena is beyond Damon's influence, she gives Katherine a chance and then when next to Damon, allows him to kill her. So basically every second of the vid is perfection. Really, thank you so much for this. Elena has been driving me nuts and the hypocrisy is insane. You truly showed how this beloved character has been corrupted and why Damon is the absolute worst thing for her. Your vids are one of the few things the SE family can always depend on for hope! Keep it up sweetie - you are exceedingly talented. This one is going straight to my favorites!
One of the most important reasons why I will never get Dullena is how much Elena had to change to be with Damon. It's sick, how do people ship them? I will always ship Bamon and Stelena, no matter what happens on the show!

Thank you it's like people think the word "consuming" is a good thing. It's not! A consuming relationship means you lose yourself in the relationship and begin to focus solely on your partner. You focus on their needs, what they want, and you begin to live life for them. You live by the way the live for themselves only, not for yourself as well. So we clearly see that Dullena has destroyed Elena and consumed her.
Damon has influenced Elena's character in the *worst* way imaginable so far now. It's disheartening, really.. But you really made a good video encompassing all that! I love your common sense and how it reflects in your videos, love it. :-)

Wonderful video. It perfectly shows just how much she's changed since becoming a vampire. To the people who want to give up on Elena, though, I encourage you to keep hope alive. I've been mad for so long about what's happened to this girl that I love so much. But my mother and I were discussing what's happened to Elena and she helped me to see past my anger. This girl is just lost. For the first time in her life, she's truly and completely lost herself. We may not like this and we may hate the way she's treated Stefan and her friends (I know I do), but maybe we shouldn't throw in the towel just yet. I mean, if we can find it in our hearts to forgive Stefan after season 3, we shouldn't be so quick to give up on Elena. I believe in redemption and second chances, and I believe Elena will get hers. Just have faith, SErs'. Because I believe the girl we love is still in there. :)

I'm a Delena fan, and I love this video! It's really good editing and beautifully structured. And it's true. Elena has changed a lot since the first few seasons, and Damon has a lot to do with that. But I also think it's an accumulation of everything she's gone through. Personally, I think she's in a better place emotionally. She's not sulking in pity parties as much and she seems stronger. Of course she's making some bad judgment calls though. Love the character development with her. Anyway, great job!

Great video and use of voice overs. Yet i feel that many people blow this out of proportion and look into details that are minuscule/unimportant. Elena as a human was compassionate, loving, kind and yet broken. From what we've seen since the first season, Elena has been lost since the death of her parents. And after everything this poor girl went through in seasons 1-3, of course she would be wrecked. Now from transitioning into a vampire, emotions are heightened and people truly find themselves. I think Caroline is one of the best functional vampires out there. Now with Elena, there was always more to her then a 'gloomy graveyard girl'. She was adventurous and fun and your average party girl before her parents died. I guess with becoming a vampire, all that usual guilt and weakness that feared her left. She felt powerful. Now Elena did become darker during her transition and I honestly am not sure if that was the result of the sirebond or maybe Elena's true self before her life became a never ending funeral. Many people blame Damon for this yet I honestly don't think it was all his doing, The writers wanted to show this new badass and strong character that finally felt comfortable and happy. She felt alive again. In no way am I bashing this video as it really is a work of art. This all depends on people's perceptions of Elena's development. Some love it some don't. I personally like her development yet sometimes she did seems out of character. She was great with Stefan and great with Damon.
Trust me, I don't like disliking Elena like this. She used to be my favorite character on this show, but the writers messed up her character in order to fit her with Damon. She used to be one of the most compassionate people and now she's self-centered and selfish, and completely oblivious to almost everything that doesn't involve her or Damon.
I don't think that Elena is that bad as a vampire. Of course she can't be the same person, she was as a human - vampires are different. She still protects her friends and loves them but she became more tolerant and doesn't jugde as easy as she done before. I think she changed in a good way.

people change but then the core of elena is still herself. past actions aren't forgotten because of present mistakes. damon sucks and will continue to suck but as a vampire (that doesn't hold the same constrictions of society), you change. damon and stefan aren't the same little innocent humans anymore as they once were in 1864, and elena isn't innocent anymore. she's still her, as displayed by the quotes you used in this video: "I value my humanity, which is why I let you live." she's just trying to get as many experiences as she can. i love all the characters in this show, but elena is a free girl. she doesn't need to be with a salvatore to be complete, she's simply a vampire. and vampires, vampires are damaged but the have so much history...so much character. if you look under the layers of stupid as fuck mistakes, damon is a person too.
I see what you're trying to do here and yes Elena has definitely changed. For better and for worse. And in the beginning it was strong. But about halfway thorugh it's turns into pure anti-Damon and all Stelena feels. Which is fine if that's how you feel. But the tone of it becomes less about Elena as a character and more about how terrible Damon is. I mean let's just call this what it really is, your take on Damon's influence on Elena. You could just title it "He's either the best for her...or THE WORST". Don't get me wrong. You are an extremely talented vidder. And after everything this poor girl went through in seasons 1-3, of course she would be wrecked. Now from transitioning into a vampire, emotions are heightened and people truly find themselves. I think Caroline is one of the best functional vampires out there. Now with Elena, there was always more to her then a 'gloomy graveyard girl'. She was adventurous and fun and your average party girl before her parents died. I guess with becoming a vampire, all that usual guilt and weakness that feared her left. She felt powerful. Now Elena did become darker during her transition and I honestly am not sure if that was the result of the sirebond or maybe Elena's true self before her life became a never ending funeral. Many people blame Damon for this yet I honestly don't think it was all his doing, The writers wanted to show this new badass and strong character that finally felt comfortable and happy. She felt alive again. In no way am I bashing this video as it really is a work of art. This all depends on people's perceptions of Elena's development. Some love it some don't. I personally like her development yet sometimes she did seems out of character. She was great with Stefan and great with Damon.

Trust me, I don't like disliking Elena like this. She used to be my favorite character on this show, but the writers messed up her character in order to fit her with Damon. She used to be one of the most compassionate people and now she's self-centered and selfish, and completely oblivious to almost everything that doesn't involve her or Damon.
I don't think that Elena is that bad as a vampire. Of course she can't be the same person, she was as a human - vampires are different. She still protects her friends and loves them but she became more tolerant and doesn't jugde as easy as she done before. I think she changed in a good way.

You made me just realise that Elena became a totally other person through Damon.. and it's not his fault, it just became her. people change.. and this show is very good in showing that. Yes maybe Damon is not the best for her.. but the worst.. but I'm still a Delena shipper..
people change but then the core of elena is still herself. past actions aren't forgotten because of present mistakes. damon sucks and will continue to suck but as a vampire (that doesn't hold the same constrictions of society), you change. damon and stefan aren't the same little innocent humans anymore as they once were in 1864, and elena isn't innocent anymore. she's still her, as displayed by the quotes you used in this video: "I value my humanity, which is why I let you live." she's just trying to get as many experiences as she can. i love all the characters in this show, but elena is a free girl. she doesn't need to be with a salvatore to be complete, she's simply a vampire. and vampires, vampires are damaged but the have so much history...so much character. if you look under the layers of stupid as fuck mistakes, damon is a person too.
I see what you're trying to do here and yes Elena has definitely changed. For better and for worse. And in the beginning it was strong. But about halfway thorugh it's turns into pure anti-Damon and all Stelena feels. Which is fine if that's how you feel. But the tone of it becomes less about Elena as a character and more about how terrible Damon is. I mean let's just call this what it really is, your take on Damon's influence on Elena. You could just title it "He's either the best for her...or THE WORST". Don't get me wrong. You are an extremely talented vidder. I'm a fan and this is by no means intended to be mean spirited or disrespectful. This video imo was less of a study of Elena and A LOOK HOW HORRIBLE DAMON IS FOR HER video. Which is fine but come on, let's just call it what it is.
