I also saw the video, and I can honestly say it is one of the most scary and saddest bodycam videos out there. My prayers go to Johnson and his family. I hope he is resting peacefully knowing that his killer is apprehended and the other officer who was also shot made it through alive. I hope that the dirtbag who killed johnson is prosecuted to the maximum time allowable for his crimes and I hope Satan has just the right place for that animal to rot in hell.
Re the video of the incident: how many times are you going to tell someone that you are going to taser them. The sgt. was not in control of himself. Sad ending, hesitant to put the hands on the perp from the beginning. My firearm instructor: it's better to be tried by 12, than carried by 6. R.I.P.

I saw this coming two minutes into watching the video I would've called for back up I need 6 units there before we pull him out the vehicle a BADGE doesn't mean someone will obey u which is why u gotta think twice. This sgt was more than 6 weeks into the field until this happened,

Go watch full video thats 20 mins long that goes from the very beginning that shows why the surviving officer stopped the car. I do agree that they gave this suspect way too many chances to get out of the car & seemed as if they didnt wanna put hands on him. Ive said this before, cuz ive seen it too many times, they dont see white people as much as a threat like they seem to always do black & brown people...& im not making it a race thing im just stating facts...if the pos that killed this officer was black he woulda been on the ground a whole lot quicker & a good 10 other officers woulda been there during that traffic stop. 3 years later, TPD has encrypted all of their radio frequencies. The public now cannot hear urgent calls being dispatched, descriptions of vehicles or suspects so they could relay info to pd if they see them. Too bad they had to turn secret squirrel.
WTF!! You don't need to tell dispatch that you're going!!! The dispatcher KNOWS everyone is going!! Stop tying up the radio with bullshit transmissions!!!
Think all the cops standing in the ER could have helped with the search ? The officer that had to watch the video right after it happened to her the description out, God that must have sucked
