Thank you for the awesome video. The link you shared leads to the 404 error page. I think you have put an extra "s" after directorist. Would you mind giving it a check? Thank you
@@SuburbiaPress very cool. Ive been trying to figure out what they mean by marketplace integration (i'm using dokan) but have yet to figure out how it works, they don't seem to have any documentation on it either. Anyway, can't wait for your video.
@@LandsharkTank Greetings, It is more likely a compatibility than integration. Meaning, Dokan's registration will work with Directorist, so you don't need to have another registration page for Directorist. The Vendors will be able to use Directorist features and list their Businesses and Services. However, please note you are unable to use Directorist features in the shop, for example, Directorist Live Chat is not functional on the "Product Page", but, it will be working on the Directorist's "Listing" page. Similarly, vendors will be able to list their business with working hours but working hours will not work on products. I hope I am clear. In short, vendors with "vendor" roles can list their business and use the Directorist features and separate registration is not required.
Hi, Thank you for your information! :) But I have an issue, I cannot import URL images on bulk form a CSV. Can you figure it out why? thank you anyway!
Nice video... but I'm a bit confused - well, actually I'm a lot confused :) - about one thing. I presume that this directory software can only be plugged in to a Wordpress website. But how does one create a Wordpress website in the first place? Is it possible to convert an existing website into a Wordpress site?
Hi, Zak. I'm afraid that converting a site into WordPress is a manual effort. You can export HTML from a page on an existing site and then import the HTML into a WordPress page or post. However, that's a one by one page effort. Also, keep in mind that the building blocks of WordPress are different than other hosts. The results will likely look different when you make the switch.
Zak, something like that. I'd build the new WordPress site locally or on another host account so your visitors don't have any disruption. You can use localwp.com to get a local host on your computer if you decide to go that route. If you build on another host, you could just swap your DNS to the new host and then ditch the old one (after a while, just in case you need to revert). If that's more than you want to do yourself, you may need a web developer to help. That's going to cost money instead of your time, and how much it costs depends upon how many pages are on your existing site.
Thank you for the awesome video.

Oh, thank you for letting me know about my error. I'll fix that right now.
looking forward to seeing more videos using directorist. Thanks for the overview.
New Directorist video coming out tomorrow morning.

I haven’t done that yet, but I’ll look into it.

Hi,

Not sure, but I’ll take a look this weekend.

@@SuburbiaPress thanks for replying... So presumably the solution is to remove all the files from an existing domain and install Wordpress?
