Hi Dave. Thanks for doing this video. I have a couple of projects on the horizon that use these PLDs and this intro has been good motivation to get my finger out!

Good luck, hopefully will be less painful than my first PLD experiences with ATF16V8s! Dave

This is awesome -- looking forward to this series. I've been wanting to learn these. Also, I am learning HDL (Verilog mostly but VHDL as well). Particularly attaching real CPU's (6502/6802/6809/Z80/8086 ... etc.) to an FPGA and supplying all the other components through a dev board such as the Terasic DE1, DE2, D10-Nano/Lite ... etc. The voltage level shifting is the PITA) Plus, I'm slowly but surely going through your PC breadboard and Nanocomp series. I've watched a few of them out of order but I want to systematically go through them all and take notes.

Thanks. I have also ordered some level shifters as I have a PI Zero which I am looking at adding an ISA bus interface to for use as a VGA card with HDMI output. Have not done anything with FPGAs yet but I can see making surface mount Breadboard adapters becoming more likely! If you navigate to the playlists it should make it easier for the series. Dave
