Ukraine's, EU and NATO, Inertia of the West and "Putin's Friends" in Europe and the USA |UATV Rewind

Ukraine continues its path to the EU and NATO. However, many believe that Kyiv has two serious problems on this path. The first is "Putin's friends" who are deliberately and purposefully trying to hinder this process. Among them are European politicians Fico and Orban, who block EU support for Ukraine. The second problem is the general inertia of the free world, which has become unaccustomed to living in a world where anti-human totalitarian states exist. Therefore, the response of the EU and NATO is not always strong. This can be especially influenced by the US elections. Are "Putin's friends" really that powerful, and are the EU and NATO really that weak? The answers to these questions - in UATV Rewind.

I've been listening to this in bits and pieces. So pardon me if this has been covered. One problem in the US is that a high percentage of Americans who are aware, interested, and understand what's going on in Ukraine are people who have/had family in countries behind the former Iron Curtain. Great, right? No, not really. Why? We have too much background knowledge so we have a problem grasping what Wonderbread Americans do or don't understand. We're like 'what do you mean, Putin represents family values? He's the opposite of family values´'.

How is Ukraine going to be a part of EU with Poland going to block it with the Volhynia issue? If that doesn't get sorted then nato is not likely either

@@ak5659 Yup sure.. but over the past 2 weeks.... there has been an increase in multiple UATV programs (I watch a lot of them... .. I've been rooting for Ukraine since pre Feb '22) about "the West" our "Biden Administration" etc. not doing enough or that we don't have resolve and courage etc. I get the desperate position they (Ukraine) are in do wish that we would do more but from an optics perspective, finger pointing and the defacto "blaming the West" for the current situation can further alienate Americans who have been on the fence to mildly in support of past aid.

Russia will never allow NATOmembership of U ! U should choose credible Neutrality-status.
And EUmembership is a long way ahead, if ever. U does not fulfill any criteria yet and would only be a heavy financial burden for EU - small Balkan countries already wait for 10 years, Turkey more than 20 years to join.
