God I remember when this was the unfamiliar series and everyone wanted Tekkit back, Now people consider it among the Yogscast classics, how time flies.
I kid you not, this series single-handedly make me love space so much. I'm graduating high-school this year, off to study to be an aerospace engineer. That is how much these guys inspired me.
I want to follow in your footsteps. I’m in bio right now because I thought I was good in it from high school results, but I think it’s time for a change. Space always fascinated me.
I'm similar. It inspires me right now to do my dream, as my dream is actually to make it to the Moon. I'm now in my first year studying Astrophysics in University. I never feel more inspired then when I listen to this. I know how unlikely it is to make it, but that just inspires me more.
I just realized MoonQuest's connection to Diggy Diggy Hole. While Diggy Diggy Hole depicts the dwarven culture being single minded about mining, MoonQuest depicts a dwarf that was ridiculed for thinking differently and forced to abandon his own home in order to seek his dreams. There is also a connection in the lyrics. In Diggy Diggy Hole, they say "Never seen the blue moon glow, dwarves won't fly so high" Here, they say "they told him dwarves can never fly so high" and he also saw "and saw a moon so blue" I feel like it was meant to be obvious but the me from 5 years ago wouldn't have caught on to that.
This series and song holds a special place in my heart, i was hospitalized due to failing organs. I did nothing but watch yogscast moonquest and listened to the song. I went into surgery saying “you never know, until you try, so strap yourself into the rocket now”. I love you yogscast. Keep up the good work
my little cousin sent me this saying he found a cool minecraft song and oh my god the feels. i have so much hope for the next generation the fact he found this with no knowledge of yogscast and is now going through all their old series and is sharing every episode with me mah heart. enough to make a grown man crawl into bed and cry about all the happy memories. thank you yogscast

I'm still shocked how the single most inspiring song I've ever heard was made by a group of comedians, gamers, and TH-camrs rolled into one. Kind of an odd idea, but this is a mainstay of my life whenever things go wrong. It's also interesting coming back to this song after actually watching the series and getting all the references in the animation.

If you are seeing this comment, hello future viewers - this was one of the best Minecraft series to exist of the time and still time and time again I look back just to feel the excitement I felt watching this for the first time I even tried to recreate this series with friends but will never be as good as this
This. This is perfect, I came back to this because of nostalgia, enjoy this moment everyone. And we hope it fills you with the same feeling it did with us so many years ago
For anyone who might be reading this and wondering what Texture/Resource Pack for Minecraft is being referred to here with the pentagonal Moon, it's based on Sphax PureBDcraft.
This song left me in tears because of nostalgia... goddamn song had so much message in it, and it made me reminisce all the scolding I went just to watch the yogscast at the time
I swear, the yogscast has the richest history among all the channels on youtube. Its a bunch of amazing people all coming together to give us new content, and every time I listen to this song, the nostalgia of everything is so overwhelming. Being a watcher for a long time I have seen how the Yogscast has grown and, I swear the entire team deserves some sort of award. I just cannot express how the yogscast has made everyone feel so deeply about what they do. This sends chills up my spine every time I listen to it, and is very motivational and emotional. This is my personal favorite song out of the ones they have made, and it really is the yogscast in one song. Its amazing how such an inspiring and amazing song could be made by a rag-tag team of comedians and gamers. This little paragraph I am writing is not enough to explain the impact they have made on my life and others. Its just amazing. Looks like I had to write this because I just couldn't *puts on sunglasses* BEAR it.
GaynorPlayz too right I've Been subbed for 5 years and I died of nostalgia, but yogscasts never get any recognition for there charity or all there amazing work
2:53 This one scene will always mean a lot to me, because I used to play alot of minecraft pocket edition and always used animals but primarily sheeps for npc roles (way before they added villagers) for my buildings
@@shidowuffer5976 I'm surprised people are still reading this comment! But since you asked, these are my 5 favorite songs now (no Minecraft parodies unfortunately): 1. Fear & Trembling - Gang of Youths (really the whole album, it's based on existentialist philosophy and it's so good) 2. Who Are You, Really? - Mikky Ekko 3. Wealth & Hellness - Human Zoo 4. John Brown's Body - Pete Seeger (I teach history now) 5. Evergreen - Richy Mitch & the Coal Miners
I'm sure someone in all these thousands of comments has pointed it out before, but a detail I always felt was underappreciated in the animation is how the countdown on the screens at 2:50 is actually accurate. If you keep counting after the scene changes, Luis hits the button at one second left, and the rocket takes off at zero.
It's when they are in the rocket, and the lyrics say friends right hub your side as he looks at the both of them with that, unexplainable smile on his face. That's what does it
This song amazes me even today, at least 4 years after it's release. I barely even watch the Yogscast anymore, but this song has inspired me forever. Thank you.
There are three kinds of people: Those that saw this in recommended and wanted a nostalgia trip Those that manually searched for it And those who had this bookmarked And then there's me who had it in a tab I never closed and am remembering why I never closed it.
Never knew a song from my childhood can give me so much motivation now. This song basically tell you need 4 thing to gain success. 1. Leave those with negative oppinion 2. Be stubborn as hell. 3. Find like minded crazy people. 4. You need time. Provided you dont die before reaching you goal.
You know, Simon sure didn't make his dwarf skin on his own. He went online, found one he liked (which happened to be the red-bearded dwarf we all know and love). Whoever made that skin probably had no idea it would become one of the most well known and downloaded Minecraft skins on the internet. Ever.
Enrique Santiago But your kind of an idiot xD. Are you you freaking srs. "YogNauts" Are on there website. Wish means "Website Members in the YogsCastTeam" And, Actually it isn't all sure about that "They" didn't make there skin. BECAUSE THEY DID! They on 100 % Did. After ten years, I have rediscovered this fragment of my old self. I remember how often I watched this video on my moms computer, and how awesome it was. Ten years later, still amazing.
I love it at the beginning with the astronaut status lewis's oxygen meter says 0% This is a reference in moon quest when he is on the moon but didn't remember oxygen so he died and was stuck on the moon for a while. Man I love references like this!
Never let the doubts of others bring you down. With supportive friends by your side and with great ambition, you can reach incredible heights. You'll never know, if you don't try.
Man, 5 years flew by. I was 11 when this came out, and I still remember the lyrics and so many moments from this series. Thanks for the memories. damn... 7 years...
This song has an important message. Always aim high and try to reach your dreams and break past the challenges life gives you. People will try to stop you, but other people (like your friends) will support you right by your side.
You should definitely watch it. One of the 'newer' series's. Have a go at the tekkit series but only if you're prepared for a little bit more of an awkward start but it soon becomes more bareable 😂
Deep in their rooms, young teenagers dreaming of the world that they once knew... they told them TH-cam would never return to it's golden age, they left us sad :(
And yet, with all that is happening, we have never forgotten. And maybe, just maybe, one day, we may look at the sun setting over the valley of youtube, and finally be happy. Just maybe, one day it may be over.
it was so long ago now, i was a kid back then. Now im a working adult, vibing to the song like i did all those years ago. Thank you for an amasing childhood
Even though I don't watch Yogscast as much as I used to I will never forget how happy they made me and how much they changed my life. Just listening to these songs brings back great memories...
decellie same, I always remember watching their series (especially Sjins farm) with my brother for hours in end never wanting to stop, it was some of the best bonding we ever had.
Agreed! I almost cried a little because of that when I was listening to the song. it really makes sense basically this happened to me once.. except I wasn't a dwarf and I wasn't going to the moon. I told my mom and dad that I was gonna be a famous youtube star when I grow up and that im gonna work at Nintendo and they told me that I would never be able to do it. :( but I still havnt given up on my dreams and this song gave me extra motivation so thank you a lot Yogscast! I really loved this video and the moral of it. thanks for the motivation!
10 years! I have graduated highschool and College with 3 degrees and now work my dream job. I never thought I would make it this far but oddly enough this song always lifted me in hard times. Here is to another 10 years my friends.
A young dwarf from another tribe, killed by goblins, searches for another home. He finds another. He reads their ancient hiloglyphs and the cheif walks in. They take him in. Years later, he realizes he wants to see other worlds
there is a sad flaw though, the young boy dipicted in diggy diggy hole is blonde. Although you could say his hair turned or had been dyed red at some point in life I highly doubt it.
This is just reminding me that I need to catch up on MoonQuest. Please keep making these originals Yogscast, you need to make up for all the ones you had to take down!
I randomly got recommended this after watching some of 2023 Jingle Jam highlights and man this hit me like a truck, now more then ever. Im 23 now and very lost in life and this song brought me back to when I was 12 watching moon quest during a time where my dreams were larger than life and I thought nothing and knew nothing of the stress and anxiety that comes with adulthood. The message this song sends out to always aim for your dreams no matter who tries to put you down really struck a chord with me and I got extremely emotional listening to this on the train. I had dreams, I had goals in life but they all got sidelined as I struggled to achieve or accomplish anything due to personal shortcomings and the fear of repeating past failures constantly holds me back from seriously trying again. The person or thing that’s telling me that I can’t fly that high is myself and maybe I can finally start working towards changing that. Thanks yogacast for the decades of entertainment and inspiration and maybe one day I’ll look back at the day I made this comment and laugh at how seriously I took this song lol.
that poor dwarf all he wanted to do is go to the moon and they said he could not :'( then his friends came and helped him out. loved it maid me feel so many feels inside
Coming back to this song has made me realise that we’ll probably never get anything like this again. It's an era we'll likely never relive, because, as much as it pains me to admit, the glory days of the Yogscast are long behind us...
Christoffer Dall Juhl It was very good, it was the golden time when Sips did a lot of videos with Sjin (prepare for the original lego talks), and a lot of funny scenes from the Jaffa Factory series.
this song teaches people that they should never stop following their dreams, people will try to stop you but you have your friends to help you carry on following that dream.
So what's being said here is that there was a guy that has been living underground, lost in the darkness, made it through trial, error and hardship and eventually quite literally pierced the heavens? .... huh.
I'm gonna be honest I cried Because all the good times with moon quest when I was younger, I still say this was one of the best series the yogs did Anyone else agree?
It's been a long trip , hopefully even longer. Yogscast saved my life at one point, gave me a reason to go on . Things have changed but my love for lewis, simon and duncan has not changed. Keep rocking you amazing people!
I am proud to say: I had always deemed 'Moonquest' as just another minecraft series. To quote master dwarf Thorin Oakenshield "Never have I been so wrong in all my life". After this song I watched every episode. Keep up the good work guys, and keep on inspiring... Cheers: Renato, Youghnaut.

If you are seeing this comment, hello future viewers - this was one of the best Minecraft series to exist of the time and still time and time again I look back just to feel the excitement I felt watching this for the first time
I even tried to recreate this series with friends but will never be as good as this
Hello, I’m from the future. I don’t have much to say except thanks!
I still listen to this song on the daily religiously
This. This is perfect, I came back to this because of nostalgia, enjoy this moment everyone. And we hope it fills you with the same feeling it did with us so many years ago

2012 was the year, i was like 5 at the time and my mum got me a mc membership for my birthday (50 nzd) and i stayed up so late playing it
I got it...
My entire Minecraft career
Was because of yogscast
For anyone who might be reading this and wondering what Texture/Resource Pack for Minecraft is being referred to here with the pentagonal Moon, it's based on Sphax PureBDcraft.
I got galacticraft bc of this
This song left me in tears because of nostalgia... goddamn song had so much message in it, and it made me reminisce all the scolding I went just to watch the yogscast at the time
SaberZane how nice and your very loyal

2. Who Are You, Really? - Mikky Ekko

Those that manually searched for it

Ever.
I thought they said in one episode that his and lewis' skins were made by Yognauts? I could be wrong though.
In episode 57 of the jaffa factory they said that Duncan was the original creator
Enrique Santiago
But your kind of an idiot xD. Are you you freaking srs. "YogNauts" Are on there website. After ten years, I have rediscovered this fragment of my old self. I remember how often I watched this video on my moms computer, and how awesome it was. Ten years later, still amazing.
I love it at the beginning with the astronaut status lewis's oxygen meter says 0%
This is a reference in moon quest when he is on the moon but didn't remember oxygen so he died and was stuck on the moon for a while.
Man I love references like this!
Also Simon's brain activity: "Negligable" Makes sense, what with "PRESS SPACE TO SLOW DOWN"

Anyone see that Lewis' status say 0% oxygen, yet his vitals are normal
Also that Simon's Brain activity is negligible?
Literally just noticed that
Its a reference to when lewis forgot his oxygen and the press space to decelerate incident with simon
I would also have referenced that to Lewis somehow always managing to go to creative mode in every series he is in.
those two are probably related
I guess Lewis ran out of oxygen because of all the salty rage he expressed in the series?
Every time I come back to this song it makes me more nostalgic about moonsquest, marsquest, Jaffaquest

Dwarf made it to moon, this is one for the history books!
This song lives on and so will our memories of all the great things The Yogscast brought us..
that poor dwarf all he wanted to do is go to the moon and they said he could not :'( then his friends came and helped him out. loved it maid me feel so many feels inside
Coming back to this song has made me realise that we’ll probably never get anything like this again. It's an era we'll likely never relive, because, as much as it pains me to admit, the glory days of the Yogscast are long behind us...
The glory days of TH-cam as a whole, the internet too, have ended. But that doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.
