    True we have become fragile and brittle.. Also, when you have no one to talk to.. there is still God. The stoics were correct, in every way. Do not know if this guy is a stoic, but I found these two quotes from him that echoes the stoics “It is amazing how often people who cannot control their own emotions always want to control other people’s behaviors.” and “Worrying about things you cannot control is folly. Focus only on those few things you have any control over, and your life becomes much simpler.” -Jeffrey Fry

    What that guy said really doesn't make any sense, Marcus Aurelius taught us not to teach people about stoicism until we have fully adapted to and mastered that type of lifestyle- he is saying he wanted to tell people about it after only just reading Meditations, in which he wouldn't have mastered stoicism by then

  • @xoutsideraspakavinatigo2650
    @xoutsideraspakavinatigo2650 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

    “Stoicism and it’s followers dealt with the feeling of insignificance against the world’s natural laws and strength by being apathetic to it. We must aknowledge that the natural world is often a hard enemy for the Individual to deal with, but that it is still worth trying to defend oneself against it unlike the Stoics who let their fate be dictated by this natural order.”
    - Max Stirner

    • @cyphlone3306
      @cyphlone3306 หลายเดือนก่อน

      They never become dictated to it. They never dread on death. They encourage one to reach their best potential and that means what humans could plausibly and possibly reach, whether to defeat death(immortality) or at least become the best physically, mentally, and spiritually. There are some stoics who have different beliefs like Christian stoics, or other religious stoics. Stoicism is not some time of like a religion in the first place. Its a way to living practically. Though it is possible to think that none of them believed that immortality can be achieved in the future(who knows), this doesnt negate the other good teachings of Stoicism nor does it show to be dictated.
      I dont think that stoics were apathetic to it because focusing on what they can control is better and it reaches to their best potential of humans. The stoics enjoy and cherish life. They are not some emotionless people who seek death. If they do seek death, they contradict their teachings.
      Now, answer this question to reflect on yourself.
      Do you now disregard a teaching of stoicism such as not worrying or not dreading on actions that cant be controlled because you find a mistake on some teachings on which you assume to be so?

      @@meeshiomesum it's okay to fall, it's okay to feel weak, however, it's not okay to stay this way. Rise up. You've leveled mountains before and you'll level some more. The world shakes when a man finds motivation. Remember the ones you love, the ones you care about. Think of yourself from the past and yourself in the future. You'll make it, dammit! I 100% believe that you freaking will. If men before our time survived on sheer fucking will alone, I guarantee that you will too. It's been done. It's the indomitable human spirit.
      Just the fact that you reached out for help alone, speaks miles about you. That means you know where to look, you haven't given up and you never will.
      Next morning, when you're drinking your beverage of choice, say to yourself "It's great being alive, it's great being myself, it's great being human!". If all of our life's challenges were stripped from us, it would be miserable.
      Consider what you're going through right now a challenge thrown by the all-mighty himself. Accept and beat it, no matter how hard it is, then go outside, look at the sky and scream "Is that all you've got?!"
      It may take blood, sweat and tears but God damn it!
      You can do it man, I believe you.
