    This was so helpful. I was so happy to find out I could do this on my own. So thank you for very much for explaining this so well! In CA in 2024 it cost me $75 for this same can. I can bring the can back to get $10 back though.

    Just had a new condenser done on my wife's 2015 tahoe a few weeks ago and the ac went hot while we are out of town. I'm thinking there's another leak somewhere so I'm hoping by doing this while out of town it will get us back home in a few days so I can take it back to the shop. Thanks for this video.

      My apologies. the port on the left (lower) is the high side port. it is bigger than the low side port to the right sitting a little bit higher towards the firewall. the connection with the A/C PRO is made on the low side port (to right, higher & closer to firewall .

    Hello.. if you don’t mind me asking.. What was actually the problem with your truck because my truck is doing the same thing and I change the evaporator and It still keep losing Freon

    • @ojsautothings5802
      @ojsautothings5802  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There was a leak in the condenser which needed to be replaced. if your still loosing freon, then there is a leak somewhere that has to be found. try using the uv dye freon with a black light to locate it. there hase to be a leak in a line/hose or elsewhere in the ac system.. might have to get a reputable shop to locate it if you can't...

      I have a 2017 GMC Yukon and the Auto zone Refrigerat would not connect to the system, I tried the high and the low side just to see if it would connect and it wouldn't. I had to take it to the dealer.$500. Bucks.

    • @ojsautothings5802
      @ojsautothings5802  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      In that case u need to start checking stuff. 1st. is the car running w/ac on full blast?? if so & its still jumping to red, you have way to much pressure in the system ac system. I would purge the system completely with car running & not running, like letting air out of a tire, (eco friendly way of course) then start with a fresh bottle of freon & see what happens.

    This got me temporary save for a few days 👍 but there is a defective condenser static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2018/MC-10145171-9999.pdf & if you get lucky Chevy might replace it if you’re in within time frame. Right above the right hand side of the condenser you will see a little oily spot and that’s where they leak from so it is a company defect and a lot of Chevy Tahoe from 2015 to 2018 thank you for sharing this video and good luck to anyone out there who has the same issue
