During the Morcha, Longowal made a promise in front of Guru Granth Sahib Ji and the Panth that he will not leave Darbar Sahib until they win the Morcha, even if the army attack. Him and Tohra hid in their offices during Blue Star and surrendered whilst thousands of Sikhs were being killed. On top of this a couple of months before the attack Longowal alongside Tohra and Badal made a call to Indira Gandhi to save them from Sant Ji and to use any force necessary. Of course after Blue Star in 1985 Longowal signed an agreement with Rajiv Gandhi despite his promise a couple of years earlier that he will not settle for anything less than the Anandpur Sahib Matta

@@shorayer9832 I respect Swami, but he was a Canadian citizen, and as far as I can think, he didn't come for any political issue. He visited mandirs, due to which he came to Darbar Sahib also and had a good talk with another saint.
@@fresno6161 , He was on his Peace Mission at that time. Everyone has shortcomings....but those who try to do some good are still much better. Regarding being a Canadian citizen, he was born in India (and still had Malayalam accent). At that time, he had good followers globally and also in Congress Party (especially Kerala Congress)....so I think his visit is justified. Had More Sikh/ Hindu/Atheist/Muslim leaders etc also tried...there can be pressure on politicians to resolve such issues.... Regarding his prediction, it is exactly spot on. The country had to pay a big price for the mess made by Akalis-Congress both.....
