I think I like this more than the Dreamcast opening that you can direct yourself. Not too long, good music, nice booming announcer's echoing voice announcing the fighters, and that trailing visual effect thing to top it all off.

True. I like both versions to be honest.

This is the true version of the arcade intro as it includes the uncensored appearance of Ivy as shown from 0:34 to 0:36. Not the purple body suit censorship from the other regional versions (which is shown in most videos of the arcade version unfortunately).

I’ll never forget being in an arcade on holiday and I saw this intro and I damn near screamed ‘THIS IS THE SEQUEL TO SOUL EDGE!!!’
Suffice to say this arcade machine took most if not all my pocket money at the time!

Neat, although I still prefer the Dreamcast opening.

I must change 2 Mario Kart Arcade GPDX machines to Soul Calibur arcade and Rapid river arcade at Smitty's gamelab because i got ultra mad at Rosalina twice when she lost.

This game reminds me of Tekken 3.

Antonio Pompò True but they also gave us Pac-Man, Xevious, Dig Dug, Galaga, Time Crisis, Klonoa and Splatterhouse.

Actual reason: Both games actually run on the same system.

calvin3464 funny how they were made kind of in the same time frame and with the same developers.
