I just started skipping this year and these vids are very helpful. Keep up the good work. As for the center gaurd, it's my go to whenever I don't have hammer, unless I'm up alot in final ends.
What would you advice if you play against a team that always plays draws. So if I place a center guard they will place it behind it. They are not playings hits and we are not that good that we can hit everything very well.
If they really aren't going to hit at all (or even if just the lead won't hit), you can start by throwing your first rock into the top four, then guarding it later! This doesn't work if they will hit, of course. But if you want to play aggressively, the other lead won't hit, and you're struggling to chase the other team after putting up a center guard to start, this is a good alternative.
Howard is still curling at Potomac! He's amazing.
