      @@JennyWinters@JennyWinters The good news is that there are many options on this great platform to cater to your needs! What's also awesome is that you can give being a creator a shot as well and make content you believe people would watch. I appreciate you giving this channel a try. I know my content and style are only for some. This channel is for those who enjoy a good story, lessons from the stories we've all watched, and a well fleshed out story. I'm happy for the almost 80k people who subscribed to this channel in little over a year who would likely disagree with you. With their support, they have put this channel in the top 1.5% of YT channels worldwide, so I'm very appreciative of them. And trust me, I know I'm not an expert at this whole producing thing, so I appreciate constructive feedback. But I like to think the OD community sees value in my "preaching." I make content for them. I'm not trying to make content to everyone's tastes. I hope you'll stay around. But if not, thanks for watching!

You sound like an idiot saying your dead to me.... Lololol... I bet you've always wanted to say that to someone but never had a boyfriend you could dump. Keep your negative comments to yourself. I love the narration and obviously so do a lot of other people.

    Why is there this notion that to "live your life to the best you can" means you have to physically do stuff? That's simply not true. A lot of people don't live on the 'outside' too much. Some of us live inside our minds more than outside, physically. We read, think, are interested in knowledge, mind science, writings, theories, enigmas, history etc. We don't want to jump around everywhere or even travel. It isn't interesting to us, actually these activities are a nightmare. Let me tell you that if you have a busy inside life, your life is just as much "lived to it's best" as people who can't sit still or don't often use their brains. We are all different. Thank you.

What he did was fundamentally stupid and careless, but about half of what I always hear about him was that he was this daring genius who allegedly had input from prestigious institutions to built this piece of garbage. I was born with the adrenaline gene. The number of risks I took when I was young was insane. I eventually gravitated towards climbing and mountaineering. Including free solos. It wasn't for notoriety, as it pre-exists the social media era by many years. Often the only person that knew was me. I was just driven. that narrow path is a deceptively incredibly difficult journey. you can only have one true master/top priority in life and there are so many tests.
      myself, i've tried and failed. i have an agnostic natural spirit (admitting that I know nothing about the realm of the immaterial and believing little can objectively be known about such a complex thing), but I also admire Christ's journey on Earth deeply and choose to believe him.
      but i also know i'm not strong enough to walk against any tides. all i am strong enuogh to do is to not walk with them and perpetuate them (the uncompassionate popular tides of the material and egotistical realm which is purportedly lorded over by Satan).
      Now I essentially just seek a hiding place of safety and relative comfort. the world is too overwhelming, for me to face. idk what that will mean for me.
      but, incidentally, i've developed an immense respect for ANY individual who is on an atypical path out of step with the world (which, if you're a true Christian, you are inevitably on, just as Christ was).

    The rope swing death doesn't seem like an accident. More like pure stupidity. Why not tie a weight on it first to see the length? Even if you sucked at math you could easily check. Nobody wants to call drinking and driving an accident, why is that? Many drunks make it home safe.

    • @jenx5870
      @jenx5870 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Do what, now? I sincerely hope your last statement is facetious, because it does NOT come across that way in writing. Many drunks don't make it home safely, and they take innocent people to the grave. It's not an accident. Driving drunk is a conscious decision when you know that you will be getting intoxicated before you get into a vehicle, and there are other options for getting home (free taxi, Uber, sober driver, drinking at home instead, etc.). Personally, I think that those who kill others while driving under the influence should be charged with murder, since it's a premeditated act, given the evidence I just laid out. You can't claim unsound mind when you were sober before you began drinking, and could make a plan ahead of time. There is nothing "accidental" about driving drunk. It's disgusting, and there is no excuse for it. I have been an RN for 28 yrs, and I have seen firsthand the tragic aftermath of drunk driving. It's not something to joke about. My grandfather on my father's side was a falling down drunk alcoholic, and even he knew better than to get behind a wheel and drive when he was drinking. He died in his forties because of his alcoholism, but he never drove drunk. If he found a way to drink every day, and get his alcohol without driving while intoxicated, then so can anyone else.

But then my family starts in “girls shouldn’t do those things” “behave yourself” you know what I mean.
    Later on you work, pay bills, raise kids, and it can get monotonous. Adventure can really make you feel happy and alive. But it’s like someone always loses their life-diving, caving, hiking, parachuting, etc

    You have nothing to prove to others, only to yourself. R.I.P. to those that went one step too far.

      Trying to prove things to myself was exactly my problem. My risks came in an era that predates the social media era and often the only person who knew I was out free soloing was me. I think it's a mistake of the influencer era to assume everyone who takes risk does so for clout. Some people are just adrenaline junkies.

    Such a fine line between bravery and stupidity, so easy to miss it often times. I understand the motivation for the thrill, to face your fears, to feel alive, to experience something different, unique, I understand the adventure spirit, but again, what's wrong with maintaining safety, procedure, caution, redundancy, and all that?

    It’s NOT courageous;
    firemen rushing into a burning building is courageous.
    These selfish stunts risk lives for fame and it’s called pure stupidity.

    Thank you for this, very well made! Wow why do so many think what they are doing is brave, it isnt bravery, its reckless disregard for their selves and others!

    To be "influenced" by people with dangerously stupid ideas, and all around the idea of SEEKING ATTENTION, says a whole lot about the people who are being "influenced".. anyone living a halfway meaningful life, doesnt have the time to waste or to care about other people who are simply craving attention by any means.. not all attention is good! People seem to not realize that these days.

    Don't listen to this guy. Do whatever you want. Just prepare, be aware of the risks, and don't ask for sympathy if you get hurt or die. Never let other people determine what your acceptable level of risk might be. Don't do more or less than you want and are prepared to do.

      But they often cause others to put themselves in harms way to try and rescue them, not to mention the amount of money wasted sending out rescuers.

    I'm sorry but the free diver Audrey was a murdered by her "idol" or so called husband pippin. I watched the full documentary on her several times for the past several years and it's sickening, to say the least.
