I've owned horses for 45 years and watching Lily get ready for her riding lessons by herself makes me so proud of her!! If any little girl has worked hard to learn how to care for a horse Lily Rhodes has sure earned her riding boots!! Congratulations Lily!!
Great video! I loved how Peaches used your fingers, Justin, to rub her head up and down for scratches. She knows what feels good! Lily, you’re fantastic! A wonderful daughter and granddaughter. Your grandma loved to ride too!
I love these horse videos! Lily has so much energy and love for her horses. Just what a horse needs….someone that will love them and care for them. It’s so much work, but she has the energy for it. I hope you keep Peaches. He’s really a patient horse!
You’ve found a good instructor from the looks of things. That pony is a saint and worth whatever yall paid for him. At the end when Justin was asking how could Lily tell he likes his brush, I had to smile when Peaches gave that big yawn right when Justin said “he does seem more relaxed” that yawn is a good sign.
Just found your horse channel Lily and I’m LOVING watching you with your horses!! Great job I always knew you were going to be a terrific horsewoman!❤️🥰🍁🇨🇦🙏🏻
You did good Lily, they need to cool down before they drink. Excellent session, you're listening well and Peaches is responding well to you. You are a true equestrian:)
Great job Lily! He justs needs lots of sweaty saddle pads an that will settle him down alot. You two look great together in the show ring. Im 70 yrs old an i showed horses an barrel raced an roped all my life, i have great memories, love watching you make your own.
Lily, i have a question, why is it that you wrap the front legs above the hoof and not, the back legs? I've seen that done before, but never knew why. Peaches looks alot calmer then when you first got her ❤
Its for support. The front legs bear much of the rider's added weight, so the tendons and ligaments get added strain, especially when jumping. The wrapping is just a way to protect the horse. In reality, thought, a 1,200lb horse bearing the weight of a 60lb girl spread over 4 legs is borderline unnoticeable. But its a good habit, and becomes increasingly more important the bigger the rider grows.
I’m so proud of you Lily! I’m a Grandma with tears in my eyes as I see you doing what you love…💋🧚🏻♀️❤️🇺🇸

When peaches yawned, that's a sign that he's relaxed and enjoying his thankyou brush.
Lily you are growing into such a beautiful and talented young lady. I think there is no challenge that is too much for you. Keep up the hard work.

Everyday you spend with your horse, learning, is a good day. Well done, both of you.
Lily seems to be a good student . Lily has a gentle soul for animal care.❤❤🙏🙏

Great video Justin! Way to go Lily!!!
Good job Lilly! Horses who work like you worked him today are usually much calmer than “lazy” horses.

@movinon1242 thank you.
I ride a horse at my barn named trigger with the same halter saddle pad same coat and height
Why do their eyes look so stressed, fearful...i see no relaxation in the eyes...
