Legendary Cinematics same thing jus happened to me. Yesterday it worked just fine but suddenly today, only the right worked on Bluetooth. But if I connect the aux cord, both sides work.

Hi Annette, your headphones come with a 1 year warranty if you bought them new, so just take them to your nearest Apple store with your receipt and they will help you. Apple owns the Beats brand.

Hey man this video guide worked like a charm. I just preformed the exact same procedure on my headphones today. Oddly enough my headphone jack circuit board was not labeled at all so I had to keep referencing your labeled board so I knew which cables to connect. Works perfectly like new now!

I never use the 3.5mm jack and it works perfectly. But when I connect via Bluetooth, the right side speaker is silent. Are you saying it's a poor wire connection in the stereo jack? Thanks.

i have the exact same headphones but the left one isnt working via bluetooth. do i still follow the same steps - removing the left ear cup and the jack and circuit board?
Before you do any work on them make sure that they are no longer under manufacturer warranty. You have manufacturer warranty for 1 year from date of purchase. If you have had them less than a year get your receipt and take it into an Apple Store for warranty repair service (Apple owns Beats Audio). If they are no longer under warranty then you can try the fix, no guarantees that it will work, but its better than them being a paperweight on your desk. Yes, follow the same procedure as the circuitboard is on the left side.

Guys i don't if yall wanna try this method out or but when i was cleaning up the broom stick accidentally hit the side that wasn't working while listening to music. Then when i took off my headphones to check them out to make sure their not broke and they weren't ( thank God). But as i putted them back on and turned the music back up all if a sudden i could hear tbe same volume of both ears again. I don't recommend this method but if you wanna try go ahead.😁

the headset I bought my son is doing the same thing, The right ear is low, weak sound. Sadly they are a Mickey mouse j90th Anniversary collectors set, so I am so disappointed. I certainly do not want to do my own repair on it. Just return them I guess.
I have an easier fix!! If your having a problem with the wire then flip the cord around (the plug u usually plug into your phone plug into the headphones and the headphone wire to your phone.) It worked for me lol
Go to settings accessibility audio/visual and balance it to both ears don’t go taking apart ur shit without trying this if it don’t work go ham😂

For the ones I was trying to fix, the headphone jack had gone bad. It's soldered to a small board and I didn't have a place to buy that replacement board.

If you bought them less than a year ago, take them to an Apple Store with your original receipt. Beats branded products have a 1 year manufacturer warranty so you can take them straight to an Apple Store for warranty service. If its been more than a year check on TH-cam for your specific problem to see if you can fix it. Good luck!

this is rediculos i bought solo 2s off of the website and sure enough after 1 month of having them they dont work anymore and this is not the problem becuase i tried thus and this did not work if he could make another video on solo 2s not working with bluetooth audio i would sure enjoy that.

Get the receipt from whoever bought them for you. If you have any problems you're covered for the 1st year under the 1 year warranty from Beats. Since Apple owns Beats if you have a problem take them in for warranty service to your nearest Apple store with the purchase receipt.
This is my second pair this has happened to. The first one I sent into repair and they got my a whole new pair for free because they couldn’t be bothered with it (guess because of how often it happens). Now I don’t have any more warranty on them and it’s the same problem again

I see that a lot of people are dealing with the same problem. $300-$400 headphones should not be acting up this way... considering people have spent hundreds of dollars on these...

Ridiculous fr. It happened to me within TWO months of purchase
I received a free pair of these headphones and had the same issue. Connecting with BT only gave me one side. I realized that both sides did in fact work when I started recording some music with the AUX input so decided to do some investigating.
I currently have both sides working with a relatively easy fix that doesn't involve soldering and deconstructing the headphones. So here's what I did;
Found a post online where someone had used a small piece of tinfoil and pushed it into the aux jack on the headset. All this did for me was turn my headphones off completely. So in the spirit of improvising I used my auxiliary cord to kind of do the same thing. While they were powered on I inserted the cable into the headphones. Once both sides were working I slowly removed them. I was able to hear the sound cut in and out, going from left to right, and those odd variances where you hear music and no voice. After a few seconds of manipulation I removed the cord completely. I restarted the headphones and voila I now have a working headset.
I really hope this works for at least some of you. It may take a few tries but I am not sure. It worked for me on the first go at it. Good luck!

Actually all you need to do is to put your aux cabel slowly into your beats solo 3 headphones and play some music, if both work you can take the cable away and you should be free to go :)

YO if you have a Mac and only one side of your earphones is working with wireless beats here's what you do.. go to system preferences, go to Sound, click Output, then about midway down that page there's something that says "Settings for the Selected Device" and it says "balance left---right". Put the dial in the middle of the left-right ray line. Somehow mine had shifted from the middle of the line to the right side of the ray line, so no sound was coming from my left ear phone. Hope this helps someone who is panicking, like I was aprox. 3 minutes ago. :))

I got these headphones a year ago and after a few months the right side stopped working completely, even with the wire.
I went to an apple store to get it replace and they've been very nice about it and gave me a new pair, but guess what: as soon as I tried using the bluetooth the right side stopped working, and now I can't return them, so tomorrow I'll try to do what you did.

so here I am sitting, with my Beats Solo 3 headphones with the aux cord taped half-in, half-out in the headphone jack... trust me it works.
try to put aluminium foil and work with it till its good . Mine works brilliantly with this method
I had a problem with only left side playing when connected to Bluetooth while both sides worked with cable. I fixed it by taking the end of the cable that goes into the beats and pushed hard into it and twisted it in the aux port a little bit, then removed cable from the beats, restarted my iPhone and then reconnected through Bluetooth, it then started working again on both sides through Bluetooth. I’ve had this problem on 3 separate occasions and this fix fixed it every time .

Tried the 'aluminum foil into the 3.5mm phone jack' method on my daughters Solo3, which worked for awhile but was not a final solution. She said it constantly had to be slightly adjusted. Finally bit the bullet and thought I might as well try this one.. bought a soldering a kit.. opened up the circa 2018 model and it didn't have any of the labels on the jack port like the one in this video, so I made a little sketch assuming that the locations are probably the same.. 3 hours later, process complete, nothing. Decided to re-solder the wires as I had a lot of trouble with it, and that did the trick. Sound plays from both sides. My daughter says the volume in the left side is a little softer than the right, but not material enough to bother her. So THANK YOU for this headphone saving video.

hopefully beats will cover for mine I bought mine look brand new including with the box no scratches even smelled new at the pawn shop for 145 special edition black even had everything inside except the power brick I called beats today they said they goin send out a box for me to put them in the box the beats only itself to do extensive testing like put it in water like wtf? they better cover that if the beats don't work after that lol and I had this month left of warranty left that next month was the expiration month , they said they'll fix or send out a new pair hopefully they'll cover my headphones I only had these for a month prolly why the previous buyer sold these at the pawn shop. lol but thank god I called today loll...
You did the right thing, it's always good to check if they are still under warranty first before doing anything else.
Lmfao this is funny. I literally have the same headphone and my brother got it for me for Christmas too and my left side is not working
Made the mistake of buying a set of these at Sam's Club. Needed to use them in a pro/wired connection, so, of course, there is a consumer mini plug on the end of the cable. Then, after using an adapter, found that the sound "quality" is atrocious! (My KOSS phones sound SOOOO much better. )
So, back to the store the Beats go, for a refund.
Try this before you take them apart :
1. Turn headphones on and play something using Bluetooth
2. Insert the aux into the jack to just before the point where it disconnects Bluetooth

Works like a charm. I used my mechanical pencil and touched each of the metal sites in the aux. it triggered the aux when I touched all of them and when I turned it back on, it was working. Haven't used these headphones for 2 years now I can use them again.

I had this problem today but with my Edifier Headphone. I looked at a comment somewhere and found that using the aux cable. Connect (one side) to the phone and play something then slide the the aux (other side) in and out slowly (of the headphones) a few time getting sound and no sound while leaving the bluetooth mode switched on (let it linger half in for a bit). Then take the aux cable out of the phone and headphone, click the bluetooth swich to off then on. Both my left (that stopped with Bluetooth) and right headphone worked again making the connected to bluetooth sound. I don't know what it is. But it worked! Now everything is working fine, no opening needed. I think it a power thing (did try charging it thinking it needed more power flow before the above method). I left my headphone on my bed in the cold and only used it with aux cable for too long I think.
Edit: forgot to mention Aux cable worked fine (both sides headphone good), it was the Bluetooth that only the left side didn't work, only the right side with the Bluetooth and aux had some sound. Now fixed using above method. Even when turning it off and on again. I'm going to store my headphone in its pouch from now on.

Since you’ve only had them for two months take them into your local Apple store with your receipt for warranty service as these come with 1 year manufacturer warranty and Apple owns Beats so you should be covered.
Hey I have the same problem but on the opposite side of the headphones.I got them last Christmas and my mom threw away the receipt and packaging.Will the 1 year warranty still work even though I don't have any proof of purchase?
Perhaps, visit your local Apple store and ask them what they take as proof of purchase. You may be able to submit something like a credit card statement.
I literally despise these headphones. I've gone through at least 4 pairs in the past 2 years or so, and ever single time, the right ear stops working. Its insane how quickly these break for being 300 dollar headphones.

Damn, on my last repair this was my exact same problem, but I only repaired the aux on the right side of the board.

Though headphone screwed up but Mac software screwed balance so only one side was working moved scroll so now balanced again
Instead of by-passing BT to Speaker directly I recommend you to check wires first with a multimeter.
In my case, left speaker had sound but really low. I noticed Left (LG) and Right (RG) grounds were not properly soldered. Took a solderer and did it myself. Take care, there's some glue in the joints (make sure to melt the glue).
Have now both aux + BT working again.
I can’t even follow this but I will say that these headphones suck. I got them on Christmas and I used them on Christmas and they failed on the 28th so about 4 days and the right side stopped working. I have to angle the headphones in some weird way for them to work properly.

Hello! Thank you for the video! I would like to ask you if you can write the meaning of each pin. For example, BTR+, BTR-, DET, L_8, R_6... I have a problem with my beats and I think it's due to my terrible skills in welding. The problem came up after I soldered the pins on the Jack PCB. If I know what they are needed for I may be able to fix my beats 😁

The bluetooth board is on the right ear cup, so you can start looking there to see if there is any loose or broken wires.

If it's clear that your issue is not caused by panning, then this tutorial will bypass the aux input meaning your headphones will only work via bluetooth. This is not uncommon (e.g. airpods have no wired option).
Your wires may not be labeled so refer to Zadius's diagram.
My soldering looked terrible but it works which is amazing. Be brave and give it a go!

I had the same problem and I used a different wire but when I removed the wire and used it through Bluetooth it started to work normally again
