Thats why bose blows them. Beats sound great, but i have had a couple pair now, and this is way too common for some expensive paper weights. Tell me why my 80 dollar jbl400 wireless headphones sound better, still going and cheaper is out performing a product like this?
Did You buy those JBL parts individually than assemble the parts together or buy them on ebay? Cause JBL 400s cost $200.00 last time I checked.
I'm a pawn broker I get everything for cheap. You should get out more on black Friday they were a 100 as well. Not everything is cheap on ebay.

Could you tell me how you fixed back the rubber wedges through those numerous gaps. I find it extremely difficult to put that back.

correction: you allways want to use a SHARP knife because its easier to cut yourself if the knife slips because its to dull rather than cutting strait through.
The one thing that I always do is put a warranty or protection plan on it and I always renew it because my headphones have been put in the shop twice now. I’ve had two replacement because the speaker wasn’t replaceable. Remind you brand new and the do the same thing as the old headphones right speaker was broken so it’s a lot easier to pay and extra 25 dollars for something that lasts five years
Thanks, I pulled them apart as fast as you talked. The rubber things were a piece of cake with a spudger.... Now I just need to find some wire.

what type of wire did you use
I remembered I had a spool of Ethernet cable, so I dissected the thin gauge wire out of it. Any 24 or 26 gauge wire will work. There's official replacement wire on eBay too.

The right side of my Beats solo 2 quit working so I watched this video and followed step by step what you said. Turns out my wire had broken so my Dad and I soldered the wire back together but the right side still isn't working. I honestly feel like Beats are a waste of money cause I paid $250 for mine and then this happens. I will never buy another pair of Beats.

Bought my solos at Best Buy 3 Years ago, 3 months later the right side stopped working and I stopped using them but I’m finally going to try and fix them myself after I called geek squad asking if they can fix them and if so how much it would cost and all they told me was. “you’re better off buying new ones cause that’s about the same amount we’d charge you to fix them” I hung up.

Doing all of this for a broken wire in which I payed 300 dollars for.
couldn't fix mine. This should be a class action lawsuit reading the comments below. Criminal behavior selling a junk product like this for $300.

Same with mine, you will probably need to buy a new one, the speaker is out of charge. Unless you can find a new speaker for your beats it won't work. The wire isn't broken. And the wire with connects to your headphones to your device I changed it and it still is the same so it's not the wire. So I would recommend getting new headphones or try to find a speaker to buy, but it might be a bit of work to fix it. You could give it to Apple to fix it up a bit
MrFreshKicks I had the same problem.. trust me its the wire that is causing that u have to replace the broken wire with a new one just like the guy in this video did i have done that and now my beats work fine

I have the same problem and what I do is kind of put my fingers inbentween the outer part of it and the part where you put ur ear up to (its obvious when you see it) and just run my fingers around it and then boom it works until it just cuts out, which then I just do it again. its risk-free as long as you dont pull off the ear part.
I just got a brand new pair of solo 3 beats and this just happened these headphones for 300 dollars should be damn there indestructible and one of the most important wires break so sad

You have to take it apart a different way.
spent an hour on this and it didn't work rip. not saying the video is wrong but either i did something wrong in the process or my beats aren't fixable
mine is like the left speaker goes off/on where you have to press it to keep the sound going...checked the wires and its all good...but the thing i noticed is it only happen when the left cushion is on...any suggestion?
my left speaker wasn't working, so i tried this both sides, i couldn't find a broken wire though... probably just a problem with the speaker. also, anyone thinking about trying this but not wanting to mess up the headphones, i know hardly anything about dismantling things and i didn't make anything any worse. it's worth a try.
Mine glitches out it will works for like a split second then turn off the right speaker, is this the same problem?

I got as far as taking out the screws and seeing what’s inside and I saw that my wire was just dented and not broken ( that is why whenever i slapped it the sound would come back out) but now I don’t really know what to do😵😬😬

The right side went out on me the Second day I had them! I’ve tried using different aux. wires and have concluded it it is the speaker.

Thanks this was very helpful. Headphones working again in my case. Wire was not broken, but badly crimped in one spot. After straightening it out and re-assembling the headphones they are back in action. I don't think I will be buying beats again though. Will try my luck with another brand that isn't so prone to issues. Thanks again Tampatec.

Thanks for this! The side without the aux input wouldn't work. Hasn't done for about 5 years now so my beats solo's just sat in their case in the attic. Opened them up with your video, but all wires were fine, all connections were sound.....strange.

Edit: I literally plugged them out and put them in repeatedly and eventually it worked.
This video saved me I coudn't find the fourth screw underneath! but when I saw your video I knew it would be there, When I opened it up yup the cords were not connected! I soldered them back together and my headphones work amazing again!

I have the beats solo 3. The 3rd cover on mine didn't have a screw in the middle like yours.. I had to break the pink cover off lol.. so I opened it & it has 3 wires coming out of it Red, blue & black. Have no idea what to do next. But hey at least I tried fixing it. It was just the left side, after following this to getting the 3rd cover off neither side is working. As soon as I took the ear pad off I knew something was off as there was a black sticky substance stuck to the inside. All the cords were bound with the black substance. I got these beats from amazon and I didn’t know they were refurbished! 😡 shittily refurbished too

Yes. wires should not touch because you won't get audio and possibly damage the headphones.
I use my headphones for a like 1 year n stop using them for about 2 years and now when I ready to use it back......the light ain't coming on nor the headphones ain't playing and I don't think the wire is the problem nor the batteries.........any suggestions guys that I can use to fix my headphones... My Solo3 have one side speaker not working, just outside the 12 month apple warranty too. Mine did not have that center screw at 1:58. Also dissembled and saw no visible wire issues.

Beats headphone are designed to fail fast. Both my daughter's and niece's Beats Solo 3 headphones had the criminally thin wires snap just after a year. They're rubbish.
