@@BrettKollmann It's amazing to watch his swim move now. It's so sweet to watch him get that pad level low. And there is almost nothing more inspiring than seeing him take on double teams with that corkscrew leg drop and leave a huge lane or scrape over for Leonard. People talk about him like he's always been good, but this has been an amazing improvement. Shout out to Coach Zgonina and Kocurek!
Me too. I hope this guy comes into his own and is as good as this video makes him out to be. 49ers just signed Elvis Dumervil today. Slightly out of his prime. Probably wont play as good as he did in Denver or Baltimore. But a good addition nonetheless. Im really hoping the defense it better this upcoming season. They were so awful last year.
I don't know if this is your reason for making these but they truly help me change my playing style and just finds more things to incorporate into my game Thank u for making these
Buckner will only get better in Indy with Robert Mathis teaching him. Mathis has been making even average guys look good since he became a coach so he’ll make Buckner look great.
Wow this was the most in depth and intriguing analysis of an NFL player I have ever seen (this is the only video of yours I've watched, I'm about to subscribe.) You really seem to know what you're taking about and that builds your ethos ( credibility and trust ) I'm a 49ers fan and this video was so informing I can't put it in words! Amazing video!
Buckner is killing our (viking fan)interior oline right now and its not even halftime!!! Thought of this video you put out even from last year and he is def showing improvement.
great video. Love this one even more than usual. generally brett uses a lot of superlative anecdotes; its kinda his schtick. And im ok with it but i rly like it when he explicitly demonstrates technical aspects of foot like hand placement etc and this one was FULL OF THEM. love the vid, rly helpful for understanding football and learning how to scout.
as a young defensive lineman heading into my freshman year of college football watching your videos really help me technique wise thanks for the great videos
DeFo balled out against the Seahawks last Sunday. Breakout game. His technique and knowledge of the game is catching up to his physical talent. Very low pad level too. Had a beautiful sack on Russell Wilson which is very hard, and also tackled him running to the edge. Incredible for a big guy.
Wow! I'm very impressed! As a 3rd Generation 9er Faithful, I appreciate the breakdown on this young stud. I absolutely cannot wait until this upcoming season to see him in action!
9:29 it makes more sense to hit directly above the elbow, the hands will go with them and you have the leverage you need to turn the O-lineman’s shoulders and ultimately his hips to make it easier to get your back hip past his front hip
3:24 you don't keep bull rushing when you're in the position because the OG will cover due to the initial Bullrush not being effective. Notice how the OG sits than recovers than lunches. That would be a good time to counter to a swim move instead.
He does the club-rip to the outside most of the time due to balancing the rush. And some to the plays where he missed the tackles were due to the pass rushing scheme breaking down and not putting enough pressure on the QB to step into the pocket during the inside and outside stunt.
I feel like this was a scheme issue as well because the scheme was very confusing in SF last year. Werent asked to pass rush much but read and react in a 2 gap scheme
Quality video like always man keep it up! Suggestion from a giants fan, a video on rookie DT we just drafted to replace jonathan hankins - Dalvin tomlinson
Ready to watch this now that my colts SNAGGED this BEAST. GAME CHANGING player on our defense imo. Just gotta get a good qb now and a cpl decent recievers and we back to the super bowl, BET! Ballards building us a dynasty. #fortheshoe
On the first play that you talk about his bull rush where he wins initially and then stops playing, is it possible that he is stopping his rush just to keep the guard occupied as the end loops around to fill that gap the guard vacated? If he continued his bull he would push the guard into that space the end loops into.
Hey Brett big fan of all your content it is quality the in depth analysis you go to is unlike anything else on TH-cam. Could you please consider doing a video just like this but for the Chicago Bears three stand out rookies; Jordan Howard, Leonard Floyd and Cody Whitenair you could do like a combined video for the three? Just an idea keep up the great videos!
Quality as always, I would be interested to see you make a video about coaches. Who's a good fit or not, overrated and underrated. Assistants, coordinators and HC's. I know that's not really your main thing, but just an idea.
Would you say Buckner improved in all the areas you covered in this video in his latest 12 sack season or is there even more potential for greatness than what we saw last year?
Really enjoy these videos, I'd like to see some sort of analysis on Kevin White, Breshad Perriman and Nelson Algholor, three receivers in the same first round draft class and why they all turned out to be complete busts
Since you're still doing rookies, you should do a comparison with Yannick Ngakoue and leonard floyd! Both got a good amount of sacks and warrant a decent amount of hype.
Hey Brett, these videos are outstanding. Can you do Jordan Hicks, the mlb for the eagles? He is so underrated, but was the pff rated best coverage lb in the nfl and i think what he brings to the philly D is almost priceless
A first round pick is a crapshoot, you have an All-pro DT who dominates. As a Niner fan this sucks but we had to do something because we cant pay everybody.
The videos are very good so please dont get me wrong, but some sence are also just offensive gameplan. For example 6:30, it is not a big acchievement to end up in a Gap, where the runner is not going. You can see the Offensive Line man leading him in this gap so the actual running lane is free.
Please do an analysis of Leonard Floyd. Another young pass rusher with a lot of potential. I'm curious to see what you think he can do in his second year with the Bears.
You should talk about Mike Daniels or maybe Aaron Donald. Both of them play DT, which is truly an unselfish position. You often talk about pass-rushers and how it is not all about the sacks. Players at the DT position doesn't really get that many stats, but as we all know games are won in the trenches.
If turay can be the edge rusher he was before he broke his ankle last year and Houston on the other side and Buckner playing the 3 tech o man I feel sorry for offensive lines lol who you double teaming? Not to mention we got Darius Leonard running sideline to sideline and gonna be even more of a beast when Buckner keeps them interior lineman from getting to the 2nd level!!!! We just need more consistency from our corners and our defense is set!!
Back here because my Colts got him now.
Mathis teaching him more here
Lets gooooo. Just need Andrew to come back 😂
Mathis gonna easily turn him into a beast for sure, Mathis knows what to do with his hands and moves to get inside!
I hope he kicks ass for you guys except against us. He is a monster.
let’s go 🔵⚪️
This is aging really well. Buckner is on his first Pro Bowl after 12 sacks, 55 pressures and 67 tackles season.
So happy he finally put it together
About to get 21 million a year 🔥🔥🔥👀👀

This is the analysis ESPN should be striving for, not bullshit hot takes.
Couldn't agree more ...leave the hot takes to the podcasters and shows like first take
God I just cannot get enough of these videos.
Colts fans are gonna love this guy. As a 49ers fan it sucks to see him go but he deserves that contract, can't wait to see him keep wrecking it

awesome breakdown. I can't wait to see Buckners progress this year. I agree that we'll see a huge improvement from this kid.
I wish I wasn't a broke college student so I could contribute to this page

i love how more of your video focus on defensive players. Show them that love!
This guy gets to use Quenton Nelson to practice against now.... Both these dudes are about to be legendary players. Iron sharpens iron.

If Buckner used a one arm stab bull rush, no guard could stop it
Hunter Burbank Especially with those long arms
Hunter Burbank someone show deforest Buckner this
Hunter Burbank I feel like that’s more of an outside rush move but regardless it would be fascinating to see
You were right about that new DL Coach having an impact: 12.5 sacks and a Pro Bowl selection. I can't wait to see how he does this upcoming season.

You should revisit Buckner and talk about his development this season
Please do Le'veon Bell!! He's at a level that no other RB in history has been at and he's truly the best RB in the league right now
Bro can you do an updated version about DeForest Buckner's 2018 season and his progress?
He's built to be a 4-3 DE... Once he plays in a 4-3 you'll see who he can really be
Their defense maybe but not the whole team.
In Elway We Trust Exactly
In Elway We Trust nah. hes the ideal 34 de.
Well we are in a 43 now and he will.play big end
Mouafa Atassi He'll probably move to DT in a 4-3. He's an ideal 3-4 DE though.
Sticking with the pass rushing theme, I'd love to see a break down of Leonard Floyd!
Love your videos you should post more often

Kyle I am a Colts fan but I think this was a very good move for both the Colts and the Niners. Two very smart front offices. Win/win.
You also fail to mention the false start on Martin in the very beginning. The officials missed it as well but on film it is blatantly noticeable.
these videos are amazing
