Gas is for lazy people or if you're cooking for a big amount of people
Gas bbqs, should heat up the lava rocks before you grill about 20 mins depending on the size of your grill

stop using a metal spatula on a non stick pan.
25mins to cook the coal? Just use a bag of pre-kerosined charcoal. Instant light, heat in 5mins.

You can add smoking things to gas BBQs to increase the flavour
Weber barbecues are stupidity overpriced in the UK (they are literally available starting at less than $100usd at Walmart in the US). That said, there is no question that a real charcoal bbq makes food taste better, a gas grill is going through the motions in the easiest way possible and you’re rewarded with appropriately average food - tho pellet style do hold their own. Other thing that is absolutely clear, the gadget show doesn’t have anyone that knows how to cook on a bbq as those pre-made burgers etc looked depressing.
Wrong,I have been using both for thirty years. The only way you can get a good Smokey flavor with a charcoal grill (without wood chips) is to use lump charcoal and not briquettes otherwise the taste is the same .
