Garden looks great, I've just bought a 5 ft ensete Maurelii but these winds have hammered it already 😢 very sad, love the ferns on the ground where did you get them, everywhere I look they look in very bad condition and not cheap either, wouldn't mind if they looked like yours.
Looks great Mark safe travels and back from Singapore! What about a few tropical hibiscus for your border? To bad it’s not so easy to ship you plants from the States I have stuff I would share just to help your collections along.
I'm wondering what you are going to do with the Tetrapanax? Are you going to keep cutting them back in the courtyard? They will completely take over that area in a few years.
Fair point that. I've seen the ones at dorothy clive gardens. I think i may start lifting them, potting them and selling them. But we'll enjoy them for now. Mark
Some jungle garden plants have been too successful! For example, gunnera tinctoria is classed as an invasive species in Scotland, where they're trying to eradicate it!
Can you help me Mark. I love your videos and they have been so helpful. I have a wildlife pond which has a problem at the moment and I can’t find anything online for a fix… So I thought of you. It has a sort of iridescent film which goes a greeny yellow in warmer weather and becomes harder to see through. Seems to sink (?) if water is agitated and then drifts back over. I have images. There is no pump etc. Any idea what it is or how to cure?
Sounds like blanket weed. Which I believe is light and warmth driven. Put shade around the pond and add some surface plants. Add some Oxygenators. Hope the pond will eventually find it's own balance. I had something similar and i used a cane to take it out by spinning like candy floss but be careful near your liner with sharp objects. Mark
