Ex and I went to Norway in '07 and our tour made a stop in Alesund. Original plan for the trip was to take my mom along as she was of Norwegian descent. She thought about it and declined as she "didn't feel well". A month later and well before all our plans were final, she passed away. I took a "holy card" from her funeral service with me to Norway and when we stopped in Alesund we walked around the Alesund church graveyard and dug a little hole next to the tombstone of a Larson family (there were Larsons in her family tree although she was never one) and "planted" mom (the memorial card anyway) in the ground of the motherland.
Great video. We will be arriving by cruise ship. Do you know if there would be a train outside the cruise terminal for us to take to go up to the Aksla Viewpoint?
