  • Remove the 3 star head screws (I pointed at the wrong screw in the beginning, it's further left), pull the entire motor out, then remove the 2 philips head screws that hold the cartridge that the 2 wire harnesses are plugged into. Detach the wire harness from the blower motor and you can replace your old blower with your new motor. Attach the cartridge with the 2 wire harnesses attached to it (philips head screws) first, then plug the third wire harness back into your motor. Trust me, its easier this way. Put the motor back into its bracket and screw in your star screws. Before you put the panels back on, start your car and test the air conditioner.

    Your video saved me! Thank you. This damn thing is a SOB to get too! Your recommendation to lay on the seat really helped! My star bits also had notches in it for a flat head so that’s what I used! If you’re over weight like myself beware, it’s not easy getting up from down there lol. Also, get a powered screwdriver it’ll save your gd life & your carpals! lol

    The resistor is the part that is held in by the two Philip head screws with the wires connected to it

    For me it was kind of hard to tell which direction was which it would be more beneficial if you could keep the camera straight from a perspective that you’re looking at it if that makes any sense and I’m having some trouble getting that particular cover off of my vehicle

      There's no room for that. I did a really good job capturing everything necessary to be able to change it. Maybe you're overthinking it.

    Thanks for the video! Did you have to swap out the resistor as well or no need?

      The resistor is the cartridge thing he spoke about not removing the wires from

    what were you doing ? my car dosent blow any air at all do you think this is the issue no air at all hot at any speeds

    • @cooterpolluter
      @cooterpolluter  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I can't know that without being able to actually check your car out. Its a possibility. Its the least expensive thing you can change. Try it, and if it doesn't work, take it back off and get a refund.

      My car was doing the same thing randy elguea, it wasn’t blowing any hot or cold air thru the vents and then one day it started working again. What do you think is the problem?

    • @TrevorPotjer
      @TrevorPotjer ปีที่แล้ว

      @@robertotooraw7848 more than likely the resistor, which essentially is a switch. Controls fan speeds, etc. When my actual blower motor went out, it still worked but it made a horrible grinding noise. Taking it off revealed copper dust down by the motor.😅

    Why did you replace it, my ac motor is going out do I have to replace the whole motor ?

    • @cooterpolluter
      @cooterpolluter  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I can't diagnose your AC but ita cheap to replace it. If it works, great. If not, return the blower motor. No biggie.

    Where would I get the part I need to replace? Or what am I replacing exactly so I can look it up and order it.

    • @cooterpolluter
      @cooterpolluter  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I ordered mine on rock auto dot com. It was fairly inexpensive. Enter your vehicles year/make/model and then search A/C blower motor.
