    Ej207 is a few weeks from going in to my 05 wrx! Nice video man!
    Edit: its in and it is great!

    Thanks for the shout out! Just a heads up that we sell the kit with the wiring for the sensors and solenoids because we don't want to hijack TGV wiring due to the EPA enforcement. This method of repurposing shown here definitely works but we recommend running fresh wire for both so you don't have to worry about it. This is probably more of an issue with the JDM 205s with TGVs than the JDM 207s that do not.

      More shout outs to come, hope you don’t mind. Yes Ive used your avcs kit a few times.Your wiring solutions are the best in the biz. Most the 205’s I do, i will just put the usdm 205 intake manifold on in entirety and supplement your bulk head harness and remove the avcs wires/plugs from the jdm intake mani. Most the 205’s I get end up being drive by wire 16bit so the harness otherwise is a no go in the drive by cable cars.
      Keep up the great work and support for the subaru community!

    Great video! I am about to swap a v7 into a 2003 USDM WRX. Do you know of any good written out guides? Love the video, but I prefer something written when I am working. Also, when ordering parts like the valve cover gaskets and timing belt can you just order stuff for a USDM WRX? Thanks in advance!

      I meant to ask - did you replace the fuel pump? I read an upgraded fuel pump is needed with this swap. Thanks

      @TheSubieSanctuary  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@calebcartmell7855 an upgraded fuel pump is 100% not needed. But doesn’t hurt i guess.
      As for a written how to, i feel there is certainly some on the naisoc forum.
      All the gaskets are the same as usdm ej205 with the exception of:
      Valve cover gaskets (jdm v7-v9 205/207) can be ordered on ebay
      Intake cam gear seals (06-14 ej255)

    The wires that go from engine to ecu, where on the ecu plugs do they go and which pins get rearranged

    What about ground points and is the passenger side connection to ecu part of bulkhead wiring, or intake manifold? 🙏

      The pass side engine harness stays the same. But the pass side with respect to car side to ecu, does get additional wires which would come in a bulk head kit and or you add in yourself.

      You could use any drive by cable, manual transmission, 16bit avcs ecu.

    Do you NEED to swap intakes from usdm 207? If it's a jdm engine running on a jdm ecu..?
    Have a 205 working avcs swapped. Could a jdm 207 plug and play 100%? Referencing my first question.

    • @TheSubieSanctuary

      Running jdm ecu for avcs. You can leave on jdm 205 intake mani as long as it is drive by cable.
      But a 207 intake manifold will also plug and play on the jdm 205 and work without issue as long as it is also drive by cable (most early ones are)

      They can range in codes. I have a loose one at my shop. Cant recall code on it. But there are a couple jdm v7 type 205/207 ecu’s available. All work the same in the end as long as 16bit, dbc, avcs and manual!

  • @PolishAlexx

    I noticed you do a lot of v7 and not V8/9, what's the reason?

    • @TheSubieSanctuary
      @TheSubieSanctuary  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      The V7 is the most stout of the bunch. The v8/v9 cost alot of more and then gets into the need for twinscroll downpipe. The customers do what they want i guess but it’s probably the cost difference and the required hard to find twin scroll DP. IMO the v7 due to standard fit turbo leaves more possibilities for turbo upgrade where as the twin scroll after market turbos are pricey new and rare to find used

      Yes this will work with an auto wrx. But you will need a jdm ej205 16 bit ecu from an auto wrx. Even though its a “wrx” ecu it will still run the ej207 just the same. However like most swap you will need a tune. Cobb does not support jdm, you will need an opensource tune.
