  • Practising harmonics on your flute will help you move easily between octaves and add resonance to your sound. The flute is built on harmonics - many of the fingerings in the middle register are the same as the lower register and so controlling the air stream is key to producing a beautiful sound. Every note is built on harmonics and the more of these you can have in your tone, the more beautiful your sound will be.
There are numerous exercises to practice but HOW do you actually find these notes? This video gives you 3 clear steps to help you find these notes so that you can incorporate them into your practice.

Thanks, teacher. Are there certain/ specific notes that branch off or out of the initial or tonic note? And, how far up on the flute, as far as the tonic/ initial/fundamental note + it's harmonic production can we go? 🤔🤔🤔 I'm a newbie to the flute.😊😊. 👍😎
