To avoid this message the dates should be precise for eg. 13-03-2020 n it shouldn't be just year 2020. Only a year can't be grouped, it should consist of date n month. Hope tis helps.

How do you make a pivot table based off of the date format of MM/DD/YYYY to show in a new sheet how many times a month that month was used. So if there is 4 march dates it will show 4 for march and so on and so on

Can we put individually content in one row in pivot table like mention by customer name,team leader name ,any, unit in same unit ?

In 2007 version it don't asked for grouping date and month and years anything. It just provide a blank group with the dates as before like 12-08-2008

Click on PIVOT table- go to analyze tab- click on change source data & select new range
Once done, right click on pivot & refresh
