- I think this is possible with every other kevesi damage class and maybe incursor/martial artist since more than 1 evasion art access on all of them but would be harder to execute than just FMJ. Especially since you have range to attack before enemies can attack you. Regardless this was a very fun challenge, Hope to have a more traditional guide for the game mode out tomorrow!

I just noticed. Gray being the character to reference Xenoblade X the most has actually the class that allows you use infinite evasion like ghostwalker. Monolithsoft is playing 5D chess with us.
At this point no need a Xenoblade x remake. The core of the game play is here.

My headcannon for this challenge is that when the party was discussing strats for the gauntlet Eunie said "I'll just shot the sparkers in the face 'till the stop moving" and everyone else (mostly Taion) said that was a horrible strategy and would never work. Eunie then did this to spite everyone.

I can't wait to see people trying similar things with every class. I know most of them will not be as self-sufficient as FMJ is here, but it'll still be fun for a while seeing other people just trying to solo as much as they can. People do it all the time with other games, after all.

I used a similar Full Metal Jaguar set when I beat Pro Gauntlet, but I was not crazy enough to try it without heroes. The evasion tank set was something I spent most of my story playthrough building since FMJ is the only attacker able to also fill a tank role, which makes it one of my favorite classes right next to Strategos

Well dang. I’m gonna wait for the main guide video, just want to do a regular run and get to stage 50 with Noah and swordfighter so I can get the costumes but I respect how throughly you broke this.
I just cleared Intermediate Hard last night and was terrified of even touching Pro so course you had to release this video lmao.
Looking forward to the guide if you decide to do it btw. Mainly because I'm curious about certian classes performance in the gaunlet and how to build party members for the mode considering how different it is compared to normal gameplay.
I'm probably going to jump back into XC3 when I finish Octopath Traveler 2.(still playing Fire Emblem Divine One) Appreciate the content.

Those moments after you use a art where you can’t move can be cancelled with the quick move
quick move also cancels evasion though so I'd usually just be mashing the button for the next evasion art to not lose i frames
I’ve found I have much better survivability by avoiding using quick move unless I am absolutely certain that my character will be out of attack range.
I knew if anybody could do it that would be Enel.

1:08 FMJ is not the only evade x3 Fusion class. EVERY Keves class can because they can all equip Jackle Claw, Aerial Slash and *Wide Slash*. It's one of the reasons why Lone Exile is the best defender (90% guaranteed evasion uptime with Frenzied Combo and Gemini Strike/Shining Refrain/Violent Streak)
the bonus isnt as good on arts that only hit one or two times though, which is why fmj and exile are of the two better beneficiaries of it. like are you really gonna try to do 3x evasion guardian commander? nah.

Enel quick tip, you can cancel the recovery time to target a new enemy after a kill by using the right stick (dash) and then straight go into another art. (yes, it cancels evasion but if you insta cancel into an evasion art/fusion arts it reapplies the evasion)
I wanted to limit all frame downtime if I could. Maybe if I was really good I could use my left hand to cancel an art at the moment I dash or dash when I know eenmies aren't attacking to quickly do it but I just wanted to play super safe.
@@EnelXC I got a few runs done like this one except on an FMJ Mio with the standard FMJ evasion tank (no defender comps) and the recovery downtime when a target is killed had me killed a few time so for me I think it safer to control it with dash. But nevertheless FMJ is broken :D

This is pretty insane dude. Do you recommend having all level X gems for this mode? I've been going in with only one level x gem and some 4 level lower ones and i'm wondering if that is the issue. Congrats on the solo clear and I hope somehow Monolith took note of this hahaha would be incredible.
I would yes. It can be a pretty significant difference.
Make sure you get the important ones, especially analyze weakness and empowered combo for damage. Some not as useful ones can take a while to grind for so don’t think you need every gem at x

For the brief moments when you’re not invincible, use your roll to cancel the animation

I tried this method VERY un-optimized, so instead of going solo I chose mainly attacker heroes to help with damage and take aggro when I couldn't get recharge. I was able to get to about round 46 before my clock ran out and the shop screwed me over by not giving a refill. that clock is BRUTAL 😭

This is such a great guide! However I’m trying it currently on normal mode but for some reason I can’t always get the cancels even though I’m pretty sure I’m timing it right. Is there anything specific about cancelling FMJ arts or am I just bad lol
when swapping targets it doesn't cancel, have to just mash for the s lol

Is there a consistent way to get this strat to work? Granted, I don't have that accessory so my crit rate is only around 30% but it still feels like a stretch of bad luck like not getting Small-Unit Tactics before round 10 or facing enemy rush at higher rounds is just a game over.

I usually run mighty beat rather than flamelord for doing an aoe smash with massive damage combined with launch charge
This was the setup I used too. Im still so upset. I died at 52 cuz I clicked event in the whimsy thing and I got an enemy rush. I couldn't setup infinite dodge in time and lost. Gonna just beat it today. I learned my lesson, whimsy and events r terrible lool

I can't tell if this is a thing but I found when I kill an enemy and then dodge roll I feel like I can activate my next arte faster.
It might just be me. However I do see the value of positioning if you need to better position your AOE artes.

How long does 140 stages take? It felt like doing just 30 on Normal was an exhausting task!!
I don't know how hard gauntlet is supposed to be, but on my first attempt I went in with Noah as a signifer and my first hero was Miyabi so I proceeded to steamroll every stage.

If I did this Eunie build but only selected Attacker and Healer heroes, would it still work? I'm not confident in my ability to do it solo.
I think you wouldn't get as much art recharge with the emblem, since that relies on you not having a full party. But Enel did say that all that recharge is overkill, and there may be good usable emblems that rely on the number of attackers and healers. I'm quite sure that if you get the crits and cancel properly you can do it either way :)
@@ImaginaryM I just tried it! Got to 70 before dying to D & J! I had 5 healers and was trying to get Melia. The reason I died was because I stopped paying attention for a second and didn't use an evasion art in time.
It totally works, I just wasn't focused enough!
@@tomdaturtle5792 I tried a non optimal build and died at 70 as well lol and I also suck at canceling because I don't know the class well enough yet, so I guess there's room for improvement ;) good luck on your future runs!
Very fun build but every time I try this my run ends with an enemy like a Quarmu dashing outside of my art range and one shotting me lmao
Even with this exact setup I'm having trouble cancelling into the different art's, sometimes it works and most of the time it doesn't.
Would someone be able to help me with the new crafting system? I keep getting garbage accessories. None of em suit my playstyle or are going to make my party EXTREMELY lopsided

NO MORE HEROES
New gauntlet mode is what land of challenge should have always been. Boss rushes are never that fun imo and aren't worth paying extra money for but this roguelike mode is. Still waiting for custom mode though. Don't care about the story dlc right now either. If its a prologue i will care even less.

Isn't a +37% atk boost accessory unoptimal here? since you get over 300% atk boost from emblems that 37% should become insignificant at later waves
They're independent. The emblem effects are separate from accessory effects
