Very interesting seeing this. I do a lot of mapping on OpenStreetMap in the are and there is an overlay for ultimately Land registry title borders. I have previously seen these on the east side of Peacehaven and each of these plots and road layouts are still have their own legal titles and therefor can still be seen. I might map some of these "roads" or tracks that never made it to OSM since the OS maps are now out of copyright. I initially thought it was a post war "green belt" thing that stopped the development, but thanks to this video I now know a lot more of the history of this area. Also there is a similar thing between the B2036, M23 and Antlands Road with old road layouts and plots on seemingling undeveloped fields & woodland, this is just inside West Sussex, however is on the North side of the old Sussex/Surrey border. maybe that is something that a video could be made on too?
Really interesting to learn about the history of the area. I have family in Lewes so know the area fairly well but not too much about the history. Looking forward to the next one.
Thanks for the support. I Iike to document stuff I've been told about in the past and dig into what I've been told to find out how much is definitely true and what may be a vivid imagination!
Please continue to make more - I’m watching all your stuff - you should also summit it to the bbc - they must have segments in local news etc that they might feature on anniversaries etc
why is there music all over the place on these otherwise really good videos, its not necessary, maybe the intro, but then stop for the dialouge, i want to hear YOU not music.
Very interesting. Thanks for sharing. 👌👌
Loved it ! Didn't know much of that, very informative, thank you, look forward to more like this, all the best, Dumpman.
Fascinating, thanks. Never knew that and I used to be headmaster in the area.

Excellent video Steve! Very informative.
I used to be a milkman in this area, some of the unmade roads sure made my float rock and roll.
This type of history is fantastic- thank you so much for making it! Love it
