- Climate change and the bushfires emergency in Australia took centre stage at this year's Golden Globe Awards ceremony. Cate Blanchett, Ellen DeGeneres, Patricia Arquette, and Pierce Brosnan were among those who used their speeches to speak out about the catastrophic wildfires.
The fires have so far claimed the lives of at least 24 people and hundreds of millions of animals.

His family were in another part of the country safe. So I don’t know why the two ladies were carrying on about him protecting his family was lies.

I may not live in Australia, but it's fucked up about what's happening not only to Australia, but our whole planet Earth. Those bushfires look really devastating and scary. And it's really sad and shocking that it's killing all the people and animals that live there. My heart and prayers go out to all the people and animals that we lost in Australia. Australia was once a beautiful country and now because of the fires, it's now scary and devastating and a living hell. And to the people who are struggling: Don't give up on life, there are people who care about you. And also, you can do things to help others.
I'm so glad they care about the Australian brush fires. They can relate out there in California. But no one wants to make a public apology for the complacency of their community in sexual assaults, pedophilia, and the violence they encourages over the past three years?

Every year, without fail. Most of our forests require fire to replenish (seeds wont open without fire). Its a natural thing here. Of course now we have arsonists who cause the problem, making it far worse and difficult to fight but fire is not unusual here. Its a dry landscape, often with areas of drought. But lets not think about anything, just blame the boss, Morrison. An easy and ignorant way to respond.

The climate in my city has drastically changed in the last decade. That's not an illusion or an opinion, it's a very obvious fact. Even if the climate wasn't being affected we are polluting too much anyways.
