I have the feeling my obsolete collection will be growing soon so I decided to show my current top 10 so there will be something to contrast with in the future.
Very cool top 10 list. The Manual Labor Bank was signed by Dycott, one of the guys who founded the bank. The $10 note from that bank is the Elvis note, super cool. Those green and red overprints are beautiful. The whaling scene is super cool. Love the DIX note, one of my favorites too.
Wow! I love all of them!! My dream is to have at least 2 of the notes you have….but it may just stay only a dream unless I am blessed to find one. Thank you for sharing your collection with us! Blessings always! ❤️✝️
After the Revolution,Fort Moultrie was severely neglected, and a new one was built in 1798,that also was neglected and was destroyed by a hurricane in 1804,a 3rd one was constructed in 1809.By 1860,and the onset of the Civil War, Federal garrison abandoned Moultrie for Fort Sumter, which was destroyed by the Confederates.Along with Fort Johnson and Castle Pickney, they were meant to protect Charlestown, they ended up becoming opponents
6 1/4 cents - remember shave and a haircut - 2 bits. Well that was a quarter. So that would make this note 1/2 bit, or 2 of them to a bit! Your elders do remember things, sometimes 😅
Correct. In the U.S. they are supposed to be called cents. A penny is the nickname for a pence. But if you get a box of cent rolls, it says penny! Thanks for watching!
Thanks for sharing. Nice notes
Excellent! Looking forward to this!
9:30 Hold on! My great great grand uncle fought to keep Maryland part of the Union!
Pretty awesome notes!

They were very artistic back in the day. Sure, are some beautiful pictures there. Anything with trains on it has my attention.
I'm looking forward to seeing what you obtain over the next year. Great collection already
