As any left hander will tell you. We are forced to learn to use our right hands from an early age for most tasks. That extra edge of 'difficulty' in every day life is actually quite beneficial!
Side note: I don't know of ANY left handed person that uses the mouse with their left. We all tried, but the mouse cords were always tucked away so well, you gave up trying to move it over.

I never said I was?? And what do you mean "not truly ambidextrous"? If you can write both hands your simply ambidextrous. The definition of ambidextrous is (of a person) able to use the right and left hands equally well.

Guys, can I just correct you? Sorry. Basically, ambidextrous means being able to do everything equally as well with both sides of your body. Cross dominance is the term given to people who use their right hand for some things and their left hand for other things. For example, you can be right handed but left footed and right eyed and left eared, etc. Some people play sports left handed but do other things right handed. Cross dominance is the rarest. Ambidexterity is second rarest. Left dominance is third rarest. And obviously right dominance is the most common.

YES! for so many of them I was like, but I use both...
I had that problem as well, certain things I do only with my right, some with only my left and some I can do with both. But because there is no "both hands" options, the results are not accurate.
True. The book one is a pretty troubling one in particular I use different hands to flip pages in different books. Books in english go left to right, but books in Hebrew go right to left.

My mom told me that when I was little she thought I was going to be left handed because I'd always used my left hand for things but then when I went into school they taught us to write with our right hands and I learned things that way so it's almost like I was taught to be right handed. I'm not ambidextrous though, I suck at doing things with my left hand, so I consider myself to be right handed. My mom is ambidextrous though, because once she broke her wrist on her dominant hand and she had to use the other hand for a couple of months so now she uses both.

I am left handed, when I was a child my grandmother always tried to turn me right-handed, as in "If you can grab your handkerchief with your right hand you can also grab your spoon with your right hand!"
I think the only thing I do with my right hand is using my mouse, and on a telescope or with bow and arrow my dominant eye is the right eye.

I went deaf in my right ear suddenly 8 years ago, and since then I have had to use my left ear for listening on the phone, and now it seems so foreign to me that people use their right ear. I used to hate using my left ear on the phone, but now it is so normal for me.

I write with my right hand, though I can write nearly as well with my left. I was never gorced to write right handed, but I have two left handed siblings and I have no hand preference the majority of the time. I have drawn in college art courses with both my left and right hands as well. Honestly, I often just use the hand that is closest to the object I want to manipulate, regardless of if it’s left or right. I can shoot pool from either side. When I golf I have to think about which side to shoot from. I switch between hands when using my iphone and ipad. For me, hand choice is all about which hand is most convenient to use at that moment,
Oh, and I found I have the gene associated with left handedness after taking dna tests.

I write with my right hand and do most things with my right hand, but I also grasp many things with my left. When I did this test, I noticed that I do some left handed things naturally, which was odd for me. I then found out that I was left handed as a child, and my grandma forced me to be right handed.

I use both. Depending on which hand is closer to whatever I need it to grab or work with or whatever.
I am 90% left handed after taking the test and the only things I do right handed are use scissors (which I'm actually very bad at, and only use my right because of their design) and bat (because I used to play field hockey for 5 years and there were no left handed sticks) so it's just stuff I had to learn :)

I took the test. I grew up RIGHT. Learned RIGHT. And I'm officially RIGHT HANDED.
The only two things that I do that the test considered to be LEFT dominant are, crossing my arms and holding a bat or golf club.

+Hayden James Ya, it can be a pain. It's not so much a problem for shooting trap, was actually a relief when I figured it out cause my aim immediately got better (my father had been teaching me like a right for years and I struggled). But with photography/film and archery it's harder. Cameras are designed for the right eye especially movie cameras. And while there are lefty bows, which are necessary for me to see, they're harder from me to manipulate cause I'm basically using them backwards from how my arms want to work.

I am left handed already... no doubt ‘bout that!! My grandma was left handed in like the 1950’s her teacher used to slap her so she would write with her right hand. She was the only left handed person in her class. I do a lot with my right hand. I throw left handed. Catch left handed. Bat right handed. Drink right handed. Eat left handed. Instruments right handed. Brush my teeth with left hand. Brush hair with both. Move my glasses with my left hand. Type on my phone with my right hand. Bow and arrow left handed. Phone in right pocket. Kick a ball with my left foot. Block with my right. Talk on the phone with my right hand..... I can also write with my toes.. not that neat, but I can do it

when i was little my parents didn't know if i was left handed ir right handed because i would hold any utensils with both hands equally. Turns out im ambedextrious. And no, i do not have any mental problems thank you very much.😂

I have a mental problem: ADHD ;-; all those things about being ambidextrous is true about me, except for being ambidextrous ;-; what secrets is my left hand keeping??? Also, I use a lot of things like a lefty, and I'm planing on using a saw with my left hand~ And no, I never used a saw before, so I'm gonna be taught to use it differently. My dad would probably be asking me why I use it with my left hand. I am also teaching myself to *USE* my left hand

My mom did that to me. I am 18 and ambidextrous now. I use to grab pencils with my left hand and start to write (this is back before kindergarten) and my mom would force me to switch hands.. so by the time I started going to school it was hard for me because the teacher didn't know that I was struggling using my right hand. Eventually I learned of course so now I can do everything / whatever I want with either hand. One thing that never changed though was sports.. I am still a lefty. I do not have ADHD or bad math scores haha.. so that is very interesting!

I'm left-handed. I write with my left hand, but I hated how school tried to get me to hold my paper. I slant the paper to the left, and not to the right.
However, I'm used to using my right hand for the mouse, and yet I use my left index finger when using my notebook's trackpad.
Those green-handled scissors I tried using in school hurt to use.
I throw and catch left-handed Yet, I swing a bat/golf club right-handed. But then again, I'm also right-eye dominant.
I tend to use my phone with my right hand.
I don't know if this has something to do with being left-handed, but much of my left side is skeletally larger than my right. My left foot is a half size larger and my left leg is a half inch longer than my right. I've that this significant skeletal size difference is a side effect of scoliosis.
