As any left hander will tell you. We are forced to learn to use our right hands from an early age for most tasks. That extra edge of 'difficulty' in every day life is actually quite beneficial!
Side note: I don't know of ANY left handed person that uses the mouse with their left. We all tried, but the mouse cords were always tucked away so well, you gave up trying to move it over.

I’m 78% right and left handed using and 12% left hand using, by that I mean that I can use my L and R hand to 78% of all the things i do and 12% of all the other things like writing I can only do with my L hand. ( L=Left R=Right )

My mom told me that when I was little she thought I was going to be left handed because I'd always used my left hand for things but then when I went into school they taught us to write with our right hands and I learned things that way so it's almost like I was taught to be right handed. I'm not ambidextrous though, I suck at doing things with my left hand, so I consider myself to be right handed. My mom is ambidextrous though, because once she broke her wrist on her dominant hand and she had to use the other hand for a couple of months so now she uses both.

I went deaf in my right ear suddenly 8 years ago, and since then I have had to use my left ear for listening on the phone, and now it seems so foreign to me that people use their right ear. I used to hate using my left ear on the phone, but now it is so normal for me.

I write with my right hand, though I can write nearly as well with my left. I was never gorced to write right handed, but I have two left handed siblings and I have no hand preference the majority of the time. I have drawn in college art courses with both my left and right hands as well. Honestly, I often just use the hand that is closest to the object I want to manipulate, regardless of if it’s left or right. I can shoot pool from either side. When I golf I have to think about which side to shoot from. I switch between hands when using my iphone and ipad. For me, hand choice is all about which hand is most convenient to use at that moment,

When I did this test, I noticed that I do some left handed things naturally, which was odd for me. I then found out that I was left handed as a child, and my grandma forced me to be right handed.

Guys, can I just correct you? Sorry. Basically, ambidextrous means being able to do everything equally as well with both sides of your body. Cross dominance is the term given to people who use their right hand for some things and their left hand for other things. For example, you can be right handed but left footed and right eyed and left eared, etc. Some people play sports left handed but do other things right handed. Cross dominance is the rarest. Ambidexterity is second rarest. Left dominance is third rarest. And obviously right dominance is the most common.

YES! for so many of them I was like, but I use both...
I had that problem as well, certain things I do only with my right, some with only my left and some I can do with both. But because there is no "both hands" options, the results are not accurate.
True. The book one is a pretty troubling one in particular I use different hands to flip pages in different books. Books in english go left to right, but books in Hebrew go right to left.

I just wanted to watch it, even if I'm a leftie.
I’m right handed in pretty much everything, but when I was 12 I taught myself to write backwards in cursive, and I can still do it almost as fast as I write forward in cursive. We can teach ourselves to switch right & left if we want.
I do use my left hand for some stuff but I mostly use my right like throwing something and writing (I use my right arm to throw mostly because my right arm is stronger than left)
I think I can easily tell which hand I am...if you catching my drift..

I am left handed, when I was a child my grandmother always tried to turn me right-handed, as in "If you can grab your handkerchief with your right hand you can also grab your spoon with your right hand!"
I think the only thing I do with my right hand is using my mouse, and on a telescope or with bow and arrow my dominant eye is the right eye.

The official test that researchers use to determine how left or right handed you are (you can answer on a scale) is called the Edinburgh Handedness test! I work in a lab that uses it for most of our studies. You can google it and find a PDF easy to take it!

She was the only left handed person in her class. I do a lot with my right hand. I throw left handed. Catch left handed. Bat right handed. Drink right handed. Eat left handed. Instruments right handed. Brush my teeth with left hand. Brush hair with both. Move my glasses with my left hand. Type on my phone with my right hand. Bow and arrow left handed. Phone in right pocket. Kick a ball with my left foot. Block with my right. Talk on the phone with my right hand..... I can also write with my toes.. not that neat, but I can do it

Diabeetus Me too! There're still some activities which I do with my left hand. I hold toothbrush with my left hand, hurdle with my left foot first...I think I might be secretly left-handed, it's just that survey didn't ask for those specific things I do with my left hand.

I took the test. I grew up RIGHT. Learned RIGHT. And I'm officially RIGHT HANDED.
The only two things that I do that the test considered to be LEFT dominant are, crossing my arms and holding a bat or golf club.
And while they say the TOP arm, while crossing your arms, determines dominance... I believe that the BOTTOM determines dominance, as it is the one doing the lifting, technically.

Two things:
1. Please do a sweet ballet suite challenge. Do a move that has the same name as a sweet (fondue, frappe, etc.). One that gets the move correctly gets that sweet.
2. Nice turnout Link! I swear Link took ballet/dance lessons in his early years (but doesn't want to admit it).

I’m cross-dominant because I’m left handed at some things (like writing) but right handed at other things because of how I was taught (like throwing) and a sleep study was done on me as a kid because I have epilepsy and their are theories published because me being trained to use my right may be the source of my epilepsy
