    from falling in love with the free version of Cramit, to wanting the PE version, to purchasing your whole bundle. Love the concept, workflow and design of everything you do. Its really something special and different.

    It's great, but why no slider for the crossover frequencies?

    • @sixthsample
      @sixthsample  ปีที่แล้ว

      With typing it's quick to get the exact value you are looking for :)

      @@sixthsample Totally get that, but sometimes you don't know that perfect value until you audition across the spectrum. It's easiest to do that with a slider rather than typing in small increments over and over. Not trying to be combative, but this does frustrate me a little when using it. Your plugins are dope! I think this could replace ALL my upwards compressions plugins if it just had that one thing.

      @@KStewartism Totally understandable. I really appreciate your feedback. I could try to think of a way to combine the two in a future update.

    Can each of the band gains be automated?

      @@sixthsample No worries. Lin Phase OTT is like a Holy Grail plugin. Well worth it. I do have a couple of questions. I haven't used OTT for years because of the no lin phase issue. What I don't get from the tutorial is: what does the white part of the mid, low and high represent? Could you give a few examples of when you might want to drag it down vs up, open it up or keep it very narrow? Pulling it all the way down or up does what? I'd appreciate it, I'm not picking up why you would choose one over another from the manual or your video. Also, when you might use up vs down compression and in which combinations for which elements? Sorry, maybe that's a lot to ask.

      Quick example: If I pull down the white slider (bottom part) all the way to the bottom with the plugin 100% wet, I'm not hearing a difference in the sound.

      @rickbonney3779 Always happy to answer (or try to answer) any questions. :) So the two horizontal opaque lines are the thresholds for the two compressors that are used in each band's processing. Now, I said compressors, but depending on the arrow icon at the top of the rectangle, the two "compressors" can also be expanders. That's the case if the arrow is pointing upward, ie. the signal's dynamic range is being increased. When the arrow is pointing down there's a downward compressor (upper threshold) and an upward compressor (lower threshold), and when the arrow is pointing up there's an upward expander (upper threshold) and a downward expander (lower threshold). Here's a great explanation of how expanders work compared to compressors: www.izotope.com/en/learn/audio-dynamics-101-compressors-limiters-expanders-and-gates.html/#5619231
      I hope that helps clear things up even a little bit :)
